NATO was going to expand next door to Russia and there was already a signed agreement that Ukraine will never join NATO. NATO and Ukraine broke the agreement hence the invasion by Russia to prevent that. Imagine America hosting nuclear weapons next to your country, or imagine Israel next door to you.
So because Ukraine broke the agreement, Russia should execute judgment of death on them. So, only Russia has monopoly of judgment? Make we dey reason some things well.

I always wonder why people believe protests and riot will change the economic fortunes of a country.
There's this economic lie that always precedes any riot or protest, it's the issue of reducing the cost of Governance.
President Ruto sacked all his entire cabinet, reduced the salary of his staff, but that didn't increase the revenue of Kenya.
Africa must accept it's a resource rich continent but cash poor continent.
The earlier we discard the narrative that we are a cash rich continent, and focus on how to make our resources work for us,the faster we will move out of poverty on the continent.
Our young people in Africa should stop all this economic protest but start focusing on how to industrialize Africa,we need a collaboration between countries in Africa to turn out fortunes.
Alh Dangote has shown the way by building the biggest Refinery in Africa,I hope other wealthy Africans will take a cue from him and focus on industrializing the continent, enough of these protest that will end up producing no results.
God bless Nigeria
God bless Africa
You are among the very few that have propally diagnosed and understand the resources challenge in Nigeria.

MrBrownJay1:
A) do not compare what communist countries do with what can be done in Nigeria... Nigeria's problem is unique.
B) blaming the gov's failure to do anything (for decades), on the high population in Nigeria, is a joke. if they've been doing nothing when the population was at 150m, 175m to then skyrocket to now 215m, what makes you think a lower Nigerian population will be any of their concerns?
C) where do you believe Nigeria's MAIN problem solely lay: Gov or Population?
There's obviously a governance problem, and which has been age-long. There is also a peculiar population problem that we must not shy away from. The later is the focus of this write-up.
Politics / NIGERIA'S POPULATION: A Growth Without Development - Nairalnder's Opinion by sammyscholar(m): 9:01pm On Jul 14
We often dismiss the place of population management in the development and welfare of Nigeria. A nation does not have the permission of nature to indiscriminately expand on its population until it has expanded its economy and made it flourishing.

Since we don't want to accept this stark reality, we will continue to have the myriad of challenges that we are having and we will keep on looking clueless.

Someone mentioned that over-bloated population is not a problem and was quick to mention United States as doing well, despite having a larger population. For such fellow's information, United State has built the eco-system, technology, and material resources to cater to its large population. Therefore, US has met the requirements of nature to expand her population - both through births and migration.

Perhaps I should add that United State's nominal GDP is over $28 Trillion and her National Budget for 2024 alone is $6.5 Trillion. Compare that to Nigeria's paltry GDP of $253 Billion (just about 1 % of US GDP) and 2024 National Budget of $28.7 billion (less than 0.5% of US National budget for 2024).

If we can stabilize and have a population growth that is within a moderate digit, we can then begin to work out the expansion of our resources and build essential infrastructures to improve the quality of life of our people. This way, we would have little negative surprises between expected results and actual results in our intervention efforts.

This was what China did at a point when their national realities became utterly unappealing. Until our leaky-tap of population explosion is contained, it will be hard to fix the developmental problems of our country.

Religion / Re: Rachel: She Was Stunning Beauty With A Hot Body Yet She Didn’t Last In Marriage! by sammyscholar(m): 1:00pm On Jun 23
Hi
Daejumong:
She was gorgeous and had a hot body, she was the favourite of her hubby yet she didn’t last in marriage! It appears beauty is not enough!

Rachel was beautiful in face and body( Gen 29:17). Her physical appearance swept Jacob off his feet and he worked 14yrs to have her as wife!

She was also a hardworking lady, a shepherdess(Gen 29:9). Jacob loved her work ethics.

Rachel however had some flaws which probably because of her looks were overlooked by Jacob!

1- Stealing and Idolatry
Gen 31: 19 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father’s household gods.

2- Lying and deceit
Gen 31:34,35
34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them inside her camel’s saddle and was sitting on them. Laban searched through everything in the tent but found nothing.
35 Rachel said to her father, “Don’t be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; I’m having my period.” So he searched but could not find the household gods.

3- Jealousy
Gen 30:1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister.

4- Unhealthy Competition with her Sister
Gen 30:7 Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.
8 Then Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won.” So she named him Naphtali.

5- Mental health struggles/Desperation
Gen 30:1. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!”

Rachel was an uncommon beauty but had her flaws just like all of us. She sadly died after the birth of her second son Benjamin! She sadly did not live long enough to enjoy her marriage! It was devastating for Jacob as well!

Jacob unknowingly cursed Rachel to death when Laban pursued and asked about his stolen gods
Gen 31:31,32
31 Jacob answered Laban, “I was afraid, because I thought you would take your daughters away from me by force. 32 But if you find anyone who has your gods, that person shall not live. ……Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen the gods.

Leah who was not favoured initially eventually became the number one and gave Jacob six sons and a daughter!

Prov 31:30
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
I was thinking you would use Vashti, deposed queen of king Ahasuerus, whom Esther later replaced.

StOla:
Is this supposed to be scandalous?

A short term employment that we already know is remunerated higher than the regular civil service?

I still do not understand why many Nigerians lie to themselves about the actual pay of political persons being high, when many entry level roles in the private corporations in this same country pay up to that and more than that in some instances.

I can never quit my private sector job to go earn all this chicken change in the public or political service that many will still hate you because they think it is this small salary that is making them to suffer.

Tackle the real financial wastes and there will be more to go round to have a living wage like this one for all government workers.
You are saying my mind, bro.

To establish the relationship between public school teachers' salaries (Y) in North (D2i), South-South (D3i), South East (D4i), and West, we analyze the regression results:

For North (D2i): The coefficient is -1734.473 with a t-value of 23.1759 and a significant probability of 0.0000.
For South-South (D3i): The coefficient is -3264.615 with a t-value of -1.2078 and a probability of 0.2330.
For South East (D4i): The coefficient is -1213.112 with a t-value of -2.1776 and a probability of 0.0349.
The West (b1) is not represented directly in the coefficients but can be inferred from the intercept.

Advice to the Nigerian government:

North: Given its significant negative coefficient, North should be a priority for increasing public school teachers' salaries.
South East: While also significant, South East has a comparatively smaller negative impact on salaries but still deserves attention.
South-South: This region shows no significant impact on salaries, but it's still worth monitoring for potential future interventions.
Explanation for using three dummies instead of four:
Using three dummies instead of four avoids multicollinearity issues, ensuring each region's coefficient represents its unique effect on teacher salaries compared to a reference region, likely the excluded one. This approach also simplifies interpretation and enhances model efficiency.
Wow! I am immensely grateful. Thank you for the time to work this through.

Kindly look at the other ones below, sir:

Interest-Free Loans: Islamic bank loans do not involve the payment or charging of interest. Instead, Islamic banks provide financing through profit-sharing arrangements or by purchasing and then reselling assets to the borrower at a markup.

My elder brother is an Aluminum Fabricator, a glazier, and also a roofer with over 19 years of work experience across the vocations. He wants to continue his trade in uk through the skilled visa route. He has both Waec May/June and Neco Nov/Dec (he did the neck last year) results/certificates. He has Trade Tests 3, 2, and 1 in Aluminum Fabrication. He also has an Apprenticeship Certificate in the same trade (earned after 3 years of training)

His International Passport is almost ready.

We are about to start applying for jobs in his trades in the UK.

Doing IELT has become a tall order given the new price, and the fact that he's been out of secondary for over 21 years.

I wanted to ask if a letter of proficiency in the English language from his secondary school will suffice as proof to the employers and for visa application after getting a Certificate of sponsorship from his potential employer.

There is this belief that the route to work authorisation into the US labour market is straightforward and automatic just because one studied at and graduated from an institution in the US. That belief is entirely false. It is not automatic neither is it straightforward. The aim is to gain work authorisation into the US labour market, which is what the NIW is for. It is your responsibility to go through its requirements.

Moving from the UK as a FOREIGN graduate to work in the US is the same if you were in Nigeria and the same for British citizens. There is no automatic route. The NIW is the preferred route. It might be faster in the UK, but the process is the same.
Pls o, what does NIW stand for?
