Juventus Share Price Drops 10% Amid CR7 Rape Claims

Juventus shares has been reported to have dropped nearly 10 per cent on Friday following a rape claim against Cristiano Ronaldo causing concern among sponsors.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of rape by an American citizen Kathryn Mayorga, who claims that the Juventus forward assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel in June 2009.
He has firmly denied the accusation.

Sponsors Nike and video game maker EA Sports have expressed concern about the allegations facing the sponsored man Cristiano Ronaldo and has publicly showed support to the Portuguese superstar.

Meanwhile, Juventus sent a statement of support on Thursday and called him a "great champion".

No fewer than 23 cows have been killed by thunder in Ekiti State as it has been reported by a local farmer who experienced the death of his cows. .

NAN reports that the incident, which occurred at Okeowa Eluju, a farmstead in Iloro-Ekiti, Ijero Local Government Area of the state, has caused bitterness among local residents.

While confirming that the incident really happened, a Fulani herder and owner of the dead cows, Abdulkadri Kadiri, said he was devastated by the development.

“I went to farm after about six hours heavy downpour on Monday morning, only to discover that 23 of my cows had died.
