When a cell 'decides' to use glucose 6-phosphate for one purpose, that decision affects all the other pathways for which G-6-P is a precursor or an intermediate; any change in the allocation of G-6-P to one pathway affects, directly or indirectly, metabolite flow through out the others.

Imagine what happens in the cell, that smallest unit of our body that 'ordinarily' we can't see.

Sequel to the first paragraph, any DECISION you make in life, whether good or bad, has a way of affecting others not just you(the maker) alone. Think before you act. Ponder over the situation once more before you utter that word; withdraw a little before you hit that 'block' or 'unfriend' button. Even before you ignore the calls, walk past him/her,....
