Shine1177: Mine took 20 days but the reply i got was to wait while they confirm from my alma mata but i doubt their ability to respond swiftly. This is an excerpt from SAQA mail:

Please note that the time required to process applications is counted from the time as all relevant information and documentation is available. The responsibility to providing information is a joint one between saqa and the applicant.

In this case, the information about the confirmation of award of the qualification is being sought. If the applicant is in a position to obtain information, it is required that a response must be sent in a sealed envelope by the institution directly to SAQA. However, SAQA still reserves the right to make follow up on the information received. In the meantime kindly submit the original document. Payment of R 668.00 is acknowledged.

@Samtol what do u see to this reply as i've submitted all my certified document with the application? Tanx.
@shine lol .your evaluation is not ready o Saqa need Two documents from you :1letter from your school 2.original documents submiited .The evaluation will take another extra days depending on response from your school.

The 20days and 10days time frame on Saqa website is the official period however evaluation can take longer time even in some cases 8months depending on the following factors: 1.when there is no response from your school.2.when there is contradiction on the transcripts submitted and the report from your school 3.slow response from your school .4.when you submit statement of result it might take longer period than certificate 5.when your results look confusing and unclear to Saqa 6.when there are SPIRITUAL FORCES who don't want you to leave Nigeria .Above all some schools in Nigeria don't respond to emails if you attend such schools you need to pray harder for evaluation to be ready on time .

Foreign AffairsRe: Sa's New Visa Rules Spark Outcry by samtol4(m): 4:34pm On Jul 17, 2014
It is high time SA citizens to wake up from their slumber and stop blaming foreigners for problems caused by SA Citizens.i have never seen where young men so lazy like South Africans, while the women are trying and industrious ,most men are just lazy and just want fast money not ready to do any tedious jobs ,these are jobs foreigners do with happiness and joy without complaining. They claimed that foreigners have taken all their shops, stores and WOMEN,these stores were vacant before foreigners came in.They don't want foreigners especially Nigerians yet SA WOMEN KEEP pursuing Nigerian men simply because their men so lazy and don't understand the concept of marriage and love.More importantly in every sector of SA Economy Nigerians are doing very well from medical,Business and educational sphere.Without Mincing words, there is no university in SA WITHOUT Nigerians working as lecturers or researchers. Even though some Nigerians engage in illegal dealings the number is low compare to those doing in legal business and working legally in SA . The Indians and the white are busy empowering their children with education and skills to conquer the future while black SA are busy spreading HIV, attacking and blaming foreigners. The crime rate in SA could be attributed to Laziness, illiteracy and ignorance not foreigners,no Nigerian citizen will rape a child of two years like what have been happening in SA on daily basis.Nigerians are the most industrious people in the world. The liberated SA citizens are nice and accommodating i have few of them as friends, but majority HATE anything call NIGERIA..In a nutshell, every country has good and bad citizens and no country can succeed in isolation. Cape Town - A Zimbabwean father was arrested this week and is at risk of being deported as an illegal immigrant – all because he took a job at a petrol station, contrary to the terms of his permit that he works as a domestic worker instead.

Immigration officials believe that Trust Chepesani lied, and never intended to be a domestic worker at all.

They say the fact that he works at a petrol station amounts to a breach of the terms of his work permit.

Police arrested him on Tuesday and detained him at the Ravensmead Police Station’s holding cells for the purpose of deportation.

For days he couldn’t work or see his two-week-old baby.

By sunset on Friday he had still not been released, prompting his lawyers to take action.

They lodged an urgent application in the Western Cape High Court, asking for his immediate release on the basis that the Immigration Act states that detention for deportation must be confirmed by a warrant of court within 48 hours.

Chepesani did not appear before a magistrate, and the lawyers argued that, to detain him further, was unlawful.

In an affidavit, Munyaradzi Nkomo, a candidate attorney at immigration firm Craig Smith and Associates, said he was told a magistrate at the Bellville Magistrate’s Court was only available to hear the matter tomorrow, which meant Chepesani would remain behind bars for the weekend.

This, Nkomo said, amounted to an infringement of Chepesani’s rights to freedom and security.

He added that Chepesani’s baby’s rights were also violated by his continued detention, saying the constitution provided that a child’s rights in any matter were paramount.

The matter went to court at 8pm on Friday but, by then, lawyers for the Home Affairs department had agreed to release him.

Judge Siraj Desai made the agreement an order of court.

However, the department refused to return Chepesani’s passport.

Chepesani’s counsel, Adam Brink, pointed out in court that the passport was the property of the Zimbabwean government, and was Chepesani’s primary source of identification which he needed to register his newborn child.

However, arguing for the department, Hayley Slingers submitted that Chepesani had a chequered history, saying he had come to South Africa previously – in 2007 – via Musina, Limpopo, without a permit or passport.

He was later granted amnesty and, when he next entered the country, he obtained his current permit which validates him to work as a domestic worker – a job he doesn’t hold today.

Slingers alleged that Chepesani obtained the work permit through “fraudulent misrepresentation” – words which Judge Desai described as “harsh”.

She offered to provide Chepesani with a certified copy of his passport, saying: “He is going to do whatever he can to stay, whether legal or illegal.”

The judge said the case involved fundamental liberties.

“It’s a serious matter to detain a man for even an hour more than he should,” he said.

He added he was unable to apportion blame because, on the one hand, the immigration officials claimed a magistrate was not available, while, on the other, the magistrates claimed they were not told that the 48-hour period had expired.

“But whoever is to blame, it is a totally unsatisfactory state of affairs,” Judge Desai said.

He directed the Home Affairs department to provide Chepesani with documents to prevent his re-arrest and protect him during his release.

The Minister of Home Affairs was ordered to pay costs.

@cutieme ....relocating to anywhere in the world is not a child's play meaning that you have to do thorough research on where you are moving to ! You are responsible for any decision you take don't move to anywhere because some people are making it there ...Destinies are not d same .Above all have you consulted your maker to guide you in your quest for success outside the country ? What work against others may favour you and what favour others may not favour you !destiny is a personal race .
