EFCC has elaborated on how its operatives stumbled on the $9.8 million loot recovered from Andrew Yakubu, a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation....

The report had estimated the loot at $9.2million. But the Commission said it is $9,772,800 and that a special operation conducted by its operatives on 3rd February on a building belonging to Yakubu in Kaduna yielded the staggering sum and another £74,000 (Seventy Four Thousand Pound Sterling) cash....

Mrs Aisha Buhari, the wife of the President, on Saturday in Abuja prayed for peace, stability and progress of Nigeria shortly after her arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja from Saudi Arabia....

Nigerian Army says it has identified and arrested two soldiers who allegedly brutalised a crippled man in New Market Road, Ontisha, in Anambra State, and in a statement released by 11.50pm on Wednesday, the army said the soldiers had also been charged by their commanding officer.


“We wish to inform the public that the incident took place on Tuesday 7th February 2017, at Onitsha, Anambra State. In line with our zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline and unprofessional conducts especially in relation to violation of human rights, we wish to further state that the soldiers involved have since been identified and apprehended.

Early this morning, two suicide bombers struck in Maiduguri, Borno state capital, North East Nigeria discharging their bombs and wounding many.

According to a witness at the incidence, he said that the first blast occurred around 2am, while the second came about 5:30am.

Detailed information revealed that the first suicide bomber was said to have targeted the home of a youth vigilante, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), who is known to do routine checks at major roads in the town.

Some thieves has robbed the home of Argentine striker Carlos Tevez while the Boca Juniors star was in Uruguay celebrating his wedding, according to police sources.



It was reported that the thieves purportedly gained access to his home through a building site on an adjoining property, the items stolen and its value is yet to be disclosed, and Tevez himself had still to file an official complaint.

An Agege Customary Court in Lagos has granted the prayers of a 50-year-old husband and businessman, Kingsley Onyenobi, and severed the relationship.
