Pls I need clarifications on POLICE CHARACTER CERTIFICATE.

Can I still travel to UK with a valid VISA but with an expired Police Character Certificate?

Will I be requested to show a valid Police Character Certificate at point of departure here in Nigeria and entry in the UK?

Or must my Police Character Certificate be valid before I can be issued a BRP when I land in the UK?

I need to know because i wanna apply for visa now, but will be traveling by next year after the 3months Police Character Certificate validity period.

I will be glad to hear from experienced applicants, please.
