Troops of 23 Brigade Nigerian Army under Operation LAFIYA DOLE on 28th March 2018, acting on a tip off arrested 3 suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Ngurore. The suspects, Adam Yagga, Musa Kamsulum and Abba Djidoum are all from Darajimal in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. 

One of the suspects, Abba Djidoum, with series of Gunshot wounds on his thigh, confessed to have operated with the Boko Haram terrorists at fringes of Izza, Wudula and Blakule in Bama LOk cal Government Area of Borno State.  Suspect is undergoing preliminary investigation with 23 Brigade Provost Company.

We commend patriotic members of Civilian vigilante (Civilian JTF) for their resilience and continued cooperation with troops, and urge members of the public to emulate their vigilance and security consciousness by reporting any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest  military location.

We wish to remind repentant Boko Haram fighters that the window of opportunity to embrace the Federal Government Amnesty program is still open to them to surrender and lay down their weapons. It is also gratifying to report that the troops' morale remains high as they dominate the general area with a robust fighting patrol in continuation with the clearance operations.

Babz lounge which is located along Police Roundabout, in Jimeta, Adamawa state was this afternoon gutted by fire. According to inside sources, the fire was caused by fluctuations in the power supply which affected the change over panel of the outfit. Governor Ayodele Fayose was at Atinkankan/Old Garage/Oja Oba area of Ado-Ekiti  to have a jaw-jaw with owners of buildings that must give way to his urban renewal drive in the  Ekiti State capital.As he did that, moving from one house to the other, Governor Fayose met with these old women whose trade in stock is daily sales of kolanut. He had a swell time with them. Their reaction  to questions from pressmen afterwards  showed their encounter with Mr. Ayodele Fayose is one that  will last with them forever.

OKPOKWU 24 FOR MASS FUNERAL.

There would be State Mass funeral by 10am on the 15/03/2018 at St. Bernard open field, Okpoga, for the "Omosu 24" killed by Fulani Herdsmen in Okpokwu LGA of Benue.

After the Mass funeral, the corpses would each be carried to their respective families for final burial as agreed by the State Government, the Okpokwu traditional Leaders and Families of those killed.

By this notice, all Okpokwu Sons/Daughters, Stakeholders and general public could attend to pay their last respects to the fallen Heroes.

A Congolese man named  Francis Mbuyi (Dewiston Mbuyi) has killed his wife Lhynda after beating her mercilessly.She died of internal bleeding in hospital.The couple got married 2yrs ago.It is unclear why he killed her.
