Please what school did you apply to at Regina? Oldfashioned145: Ok guys so the continuation....
After I landed at Doha. It was a pretty cool airport where everyone was taking pictures with Messi on a small billboard in the airport.
I had a layover for 6 hours and before I could board the plane I was told to check in my carry on because the airplane was too small ( I foolishly did and herein lied my first mistake). Me thinking at least I won't be struggling with bag from plane to plane took the relief and boarded the plane only for me to land in Toronto and here a big problem started.
I landed in Toronto on the 24th and was told my flight had been cancelled that I should go make a reservation upstairs.
Easy peasy right.... Well it wasn't because I needed to telephone their agents and there was quite a queue.
Eventually I got on the telephone, was placed on hold for 2 hours by then the queue was becoming more and more longer and then to my frustrations the only thing I got from the agent was that my bags had already been checked in and before she could reschedule I needed to go check out my bags at the airport desk then re phone them again.
Which meant I had to Requeue.
After checking out my bags I had to get something to eat and woooah Toronto tax was pretty not pocket Friendly.
I had to Requeue which meant I spent my night on the queue because the line was very long like filling station fuel scarcity long and then add the extra 2 hour hold on every call made.
I managed to get on the phone Christmas morning and boom my flight was rescheduled to 29th and it wasn't a direct flight anymore it was a connecting flight to Calgary
Anyways lemme cut the long story Short.
I fell sick at the airport, like vomiting blood that kinda sick and also air pressure was trapped in my ear because of the plane descent and all my drugs were in my checked in bags. I was also really cold at the airport like freezing cold i had to be washing my hands with hot water every 30.min
But shey you dey whine divine health ni?
Had to find an airbnb. AirBnB was really cool.
Landed in Calgary on the 29th by 12 midnight. Slept in the airport because my connecting flight to Regina was 30th by 9am.
Finally got to Regina... woooah and its been great so far.
I'm Greatful to God for divine strength because my journey wasnt like the others but I sailed through.
PS. CBSA didn't really ask me anything they just printed my study permit and the officer asked me what was my school and program. That's all although there was one man officer that was really tackling students baba was even asking indian students what was their favorite dish.
AND MY PEOPLE AS I SIT HERE TYPING THIS I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY OF MY BAGS yet BUT AIR CANADA MATTER DON TIRE ME anytime they're ready so am I apparently my bags were still in Toronto when I landed at Regina but.....
To God be the glory |
