Location plays a big role. Even if we manage to get jobs in Nigeria most of the jobs are what I will call crumb jobs. Tiny agencies or startups with no faculty for growth. I know a very bad ass Salesforce developer in Nigeria. This guy is very very good but the Nigerian location is seriously limiting him. If that guy enters the US with his knowledge he won't make less than six figures. He's that good. He's the one I go to whenever I have issues with Salesforce. It seems Salesforce is a very big deal in Chile. I was learning Salesforce in Nigeria even racked up certifications but I could never get jobs with it. I just got frustrated and stopped learning it. I started applying to jobs here after moving in and I already have 3 interviews scheduled from the same day all for Salesforce developer jobs .
