If sponsorship is your biggest hurdle, start with the GOV.UK register of licensed sponsors (search GOV.UK for "register of licensed sponsors workers"). It's a free spreadsheet, so check the company's legal name and make sure the route says Skilled Worker. Then look at the company's careers page for real vacancies.

Keep in mind that a licence only means an employer can sponsor, not that it will sponsor every role. If the advert doesn't say, ask the recruiter before spending hours on an application.

Also check the pay. The usual Skilled Worker minimum is £41,700 or the going rate for the job, whichever is higher. New entrants, such as recent graduates, can have a lower rate of at least £33,400 and 70% of the going rate. The employer chooses the occupation code, so ask them which one they will use.

For your own situation, speak to a regulated adviser (IAA) or a solicitor.
