Leviticus is not a buffet where you can pick and choose your favorite Israeli commandment to placard here on NL. Either you believe Leviticus or you don't. Here are other commandments from Leviticus that I'm sure you observe daily:

Leviticus 3:17 says that you should NEVER eat fat from bush meat or any meat for that matter.

Leviticus 12:2-6

Pregnant women who give birth to boys should not set foot on church property for 33 days.
Pregnant women who give birth to girls should stay away from church property for over 2 months.

Leviticus 25:42

Never sell Jews as slaves. Verse 44 allows Jews to purchase Nigerians as slaves.

I hope that you're following all of these, not just the one about tattoos.

Religion / Thinking Of Getting A Tattoo? See What The Bible And Quran Says About It by Sarmmie(m): 11:49am On Jan 13, 2015
The Bible warns against tattoos  in Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says :
“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

Those who are considering getting one, I hope the message is clear enough.

What Does the Quran Says about Tattoo?

According to Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen,

tattooing which involves piercing with needle and which involves colours of dye are considered Haraam.

It might not cause you pain or little pain, but it means changing the creation of Allah.

In al-Saheehayn it is narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said:

“May Allah curse the women who do tattoos and those for whom tattoos are done, those who pluck their eyebrows and those who file their teeth for the purpose of beautification and alter the creation of Allah.” (al-Bukhaari, al-Libaas, 5587; Muslim, al-Libaas, 5538).

From the above narration, it is clear that Allah has cursed the women or man who adopts such things in their lives.

Many scholars argue that this is one of the forms of deception and that makes it forbidden in Islam. Another school of thought argues that it is forbidden. . No matter what reason is behind it, Muslims also forbid it.

If the Bible and Quran says a thing is bad, you really need to give it a rethink before you choose to involve yourself in such act.

Peace
