For a lot of people, buying a hybrid or EV is as much about saving fuel as it is about making a statement. Coincidentally, that desire to flaunt is also what gets many well-heeled buyers behind the wheel of a Bentley. So it’s a good thing, then, that Bentley will soon offer electrified versions of all its vehicles, starting with the 2020 Bentayga Hybrid you see here. The Bentayga is already t’s most popular model, and the least-expensive way to get a car with a Flying B on its nose. In fact, the Hybrid makes the world of Bentley even more accessible. At a still-lofty $156,900, or $8,100 less than a Bentayga V8, it’s the company’s lowest-priced offering. 2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid The 2020 Bentley Bentayga gets plug-in hybrid power 23 PHOTOS But that doesn’t mean the Hybrid skimps on luxury; open the door and you’re greeted to the same cabin as every other Bentayga. The SUV’s interior can be as monochromatic or wildly vibrant as you wish, with myriad leathers, metals and veneers to choose from. There’s a real sense of occasion to all Bentley interiors, and this least-expensive Bentayga is no different. Every last stitch of the diamond-quilted leather looks as exquisite here as it does in a $400,000 Mulsanne. Everything from the turn signal stalks to the air vent plungers have a satisfying feel to their action, and the cabin is as comfortable as it is quiet. My only beef with the Bentayga’s interior is on the tech front. While the 2020 Continental GT gets a lovely, Bentley-skinned version of Porsche’s Communication Management multimedia system on a 12.3-inch touchscreen, the Bentayga uses a glorified version of Volkswagen’s older infotainment interface, on a smaller, lower-resolution, 8-inch display. The system is somewhat easy to use — mostly because it doesn’t offer a ton of functionality — and Apple CarPlay is included, though Android users are once again left out in the cold. Thankfully, Bentley’s smartphone app has a number of hybrid-specific services, including remote charging, cabin preconditioning and a charging station locator. The Bentayga doesn’t get the Continental’s fully digital gauge cluster, either, instead relying on a fixed tachometer and speedometer, with a low-res readout between them. The gauges themselves look fine, with fancy Bentley fonts, and in the Hybrid, there’s even an analog gauge for the battery’s state of charge. Still, it’s kind of laughable that you can get better behind-the-wheel tech in a sub-$30,000 Volkswagen Jetta. 2020 Bentley Bentayga HybridEnlarge Image Richard Pardon/Bentley Because the electric drivetrain’s battery pack is housed below the existing cargo floor, the Hybrid doesn’t lose any luggage space compared to other Bentayga models (17.1 cubic feet with the rear seats up). However, you can’t spec the Hybrid with the Bentayga’s optional third row of seats, which is probably fine, since they’re basically useless. Outside, you’ll only be able to spot a Bentayga Hybrid thanks to its discreet badges on the doors and liftgate, and the driver’s side charging port door. I personally find this SUV to be a pretty homely thing regardless of powertrain, but buyers can rest assured knowing the Bentayga’s full roster of color and wheel options are available on the Hybrid, with endless possibilities to be found in Bentley’s custom Mulliner collection. The Bentayga Hybrid uses a 17.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which can be recharged from a Level 2 (240-volt) outlet in 2.5 hours, or 7.5 hours from a standard wall plug. Completely topped off, it gives the Bentayga Hybrid just 16 miles of electric driving range, and offers supplemental torque for acceleration. Under the hood, you’ll find a turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with a 94-kilowatt electric motor. The engine is a version of the new V6 used in the Audi A6, A7 and A8, making 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Add in the oomph from the electric motor, and total system output is 443 horsepower and 516 pound-feet. Those are substantial numbers, make no mistake, but still 99 horsepower and 52 pound-feet shy of what you get in the Bentayga V8. And because the Hybrid has some extra 525 pounds to lug around — this is a 5,789-pound SUV — it’s quite a bit slower. Bentley estimates the Hybrid will accelerate to 60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, or 0.8 seconds slower than the Bentayga V8. 2020 Bentley Bentayga HybridEnlarge Image Richard Pardon/Bentley Of course, if you want to make the most of the Bentayga Hybrid’s electric range, 0-60 runs are out of the question. Driving around Palo Alto, California in the Hybrid’s EV mode, it’s easy to modulate the throttle to keep pace in traffic without sacrificing too many electrons. You can run the Bentayga in EV mode at speeds up to 84 mph, but don’t expect to get anywhere near the full 16 miles of electric range while doing so. In the default Hybrid drive mode, the Bentayga uses the electric motor and gas engine simultaneously, switching them on and off as needed. You don’t really hear or feel the transition when the V6 wakes up — it’s a smooth action, and the Bentayga’s hushed cabin keeps much of the engine’s noise outside, where it belongs. Hybrid mode also allows you to coast on the highway — take your foot off the gas and the Bentayga’s engine will shut off, which is a great way to save fuel at faster speeds. Speaking of saving, the Bentayga Hybrid has a Hold mode, which runs the engine and electric motor at the same time, but preserves the battery’s state of charge. You could drive on the highway in Hold mode and switch to EV when you’re slogging through traffic in the city. This is likely the best way to drive the Bentayga most efficiently. Official fuel economy data isn’t available just yet, but Bentley estimates the Bentayga Hybrid will return 50 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) combined. For reference, the similarly sized Volvo XC90 T8 — which is lighter, but also less powerful — is rated at 58 MPGe combined. The suspension does a fine job of ironing out road imperfections, so the ride quality is always lovely, even on my tester’s huge, 22-inch wheels. The steering is pretty devoid of feedback, but nicely weighted for both in-town driving and highway cruising. You’ll barely feel a shift from the eight-speed automatic transmission, and braking power is ample and easy to modulate. Get the SUV out on country roads, and you’ll certainly feel the added heft — not that the Bentayga is a featherweight to begin with. The steering doesn’t always accurately translate the vehicle’s weight to the driver, though Bentley’s optional 48-volt antiroll tech keeps the big SUV nice and flat while cornering. The plug-in Bentayga isn’t as fun to drive as the V8- or W12-powered models; this Bentley is at its best while cruising. If you want an electrified luxury SUV that’s truly rewarding to drive, buy a Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. But in typical Bentley Bentayga driving conditions — traversing tree-lined roads near Greenwich, Connecticut; trying to find parking at The Grove — the Hybrid offers a plush, cosetting experience. Bentley expects the V8 model will continue to account for the lion’s share of Bentayga sales, but if you don’t need so much muscle with your hustle, the less-expensive plug-in offers a satisfying experience, and gives you access to those up-front hybrid parking spaces, too. 2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid

https://satelitebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/download-45.jpg [img][/img] Walmart’s early use of AI at its stores isn’t just for the sake of convenience. The retailer has confirmed to Business Insider that it’s using camera-based computer vision tech to deter theft and losses at its checkouts (including self-checkouts) in over 1,000 stores. The simply titled Missed Scan Detection program notifies attendants if an item moves past a scanner without an actual scan, giving staff a chance to step in. Most of the incidents are unintentional, such as forgetful shoppers or fatigued cashiers, but Walmart is clearly hoping this will deter thieves hoping to make off with unscanned items. The store chain is using tech from several companies, including Everseen. The technology has been in use for the past two years. If you ask the company, it appears to be working. Spokeswoman LeMia Jenkins told BI that shrinkage rates (that is, the loss of goods to theft and accidents) have dropped at stores where the computer vision is in use. The question is whether or not the system addresses privacy concerns. While many stores have security cameras, few are using AI to study activity on this level. How long does Walmart preserve the data, and is there anything identifying? We’ve asked Walmart for comment, but it’s safe to say that many customers aren’t aware that AI is at work. visit satelitebox.com for more ![]() |

https://satelitebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/download-22.jpgThe weekend has ended, and both Arya Stark and Tony Stark have saved the world single-handedly—Tony by donning the Infinity Gauntlet and snapping Thanos and his minions out of existence, and Arya by knifing the Night King in the belly, and causing his army to disintegrate into shards of ice. All of this raises the question: In a desperate bid to save all of humanity, which Stark would you rather have on your side, Arya or Tony? Who saved more lives? In Avengers: Endgame, Thanos first wipes out half of all life on Earth (and elsewhere throughout the universe), but because of the Avengers’ persnicketiness, then decides to wipe out everyone. In Game of Thrones, the Night King looks to wipe out everyone, too. However, the population of Westeros (and Essos) is arguably much smaller than that of the MCU. Winner: Tony Stark. Numerically, he saves a lot more people. Who’s the better fighter? Apart from some boxing lessons and Wing Chun, the MCU’s Tony Stark appears to have little formal training when it comes to the martial arts. Arya, however, has benefitted from the tutelage of Syrio Forel, the First Sword of Braavos, and Jaqen H’ghar of the Faceless Men. Meanwhile, Tony has the benefit of the Iron Man suit, while Arya has only her wits and Needle (and a nice little Valryian steel dagger). Winner: Arya. She does more with less. Who can take a better beating? As Sylvester Stallone says in Creed,”It ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.” Both Arya and Tony get the crap kicked out of them multiple times through the course of the MCU and GoT, but let’s focus on major injuries: Tony has been blasted with shrapnel (from his own bomb), had a planet thrown at him and stabbed — again, with his own weapon. Arya was blinded and stabbed multiple times, nearly to death, by the Waif. Winner: Tony. He’s survived many more internal injuries. Who had the tougher opponent? The Mad Titan can fight off a number of superheroes single-handedly — it takes a severe walloping by Tony Stark to even scratch Thanos’ face — but the Night King can raise the dead to fight for him, is impervious to dragon fire, and can be killed only with a specialty blade. Winner: Arya. Until his demise, the Night King was cleverer than the forces arrayed against him, and being able to resurrect people just by raising your arms while smirking is pretty devastating. Who’s had the better character development? Arya started out as a dewy-eyed kid who liked to play with swords, while Tony began as a self-centered billionaire playboy who built weapons for the military. By the end, Arya was a trained assassin hell-bent on revenge, and Tony builds (and rebuilds) a team, and sacrifices himself to save everyone. Winner: Tony. While Arya’s character development is significant, it’s focused on her getting even for the wrongs inflicted upon her family. Tony’s motives are ultimately more altruistic. https://satelitebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/download-1.jpg If you’re one of the people who has been unable to install new apps or download updates from Apple’s iOS App Store, don’t worry. A fix is on the way. Apple has issued a server-side fix to address a bug that has prevented people from completing downloads, according to a report from AppleInsider. Users who have experienced the issue have been presented with a prompt regarding new terms and conditions but are not able to clear the notification no matter how many times they attempt to agree to the changes. Based on social media reports, it appears the issue first started plaguing iOS device owners last night. It’s not clear exactly how many people have been affected by the bug. Apple’s system status page has not reflected any outages or other issues with the App Store and Apple hasn’t issued any official comment about the company has deployed a fix for the problem. Users who have been experiencing the issue can expect it to disappear by the end of the day. If the terms and conditions loop is still popping up, users can tap the “cancel” button to continue using their device — though they won’t be able to complete any downloads from the App Store while the issue persists. for more visit: satelitebox.com

https://satelitebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/download-15-300x150.jpg Apple is silently plotting its grand entrance into the future self-driving market. The iPhone maker’s smartphone sales have peaked, and it has recently refocused its business strategy on services, like its upcoming credit card and streaming service, to pick up the slack. But in less than a decade, the tech giant could break new ground and hit the asphalt with a vehicle unlike any other. Its autonomous car initiative is reportedly titled “Project Titan.” Research and patents paint it as an advanced system that merges Apple’s artificial intelligence and augmented reality talents into the new car. Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed its existence in June 2017, declaring it “the mother of all A.I. projects.” “Autonomy is something that’s incredibly exciting for us, but we’ll see where it takes us,” Cook told Bloomberg in June 2017. “We’re not really saying from a product point of view what we will do but we are being straightforward that it’s a core technology that we view as very important.” A few months later, a Lidar-equipped prototype of Apple’s car was spotted on video. But a commercial release is still years away, says one analyst. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that Apple could launch its Project Titan somewhere between 2023 and 2025. This month, Apple hired away Michael Schwekutsch, a top Tesla engineer. He was the Tesla VP overseeing electric powertrains, and now at Apple, he is the senior director of engineering at the Special Project Group. Apple has also hired a Tesla designer, Andrew Kim, who has been at Apple since December. A recent series of layoffs have cast some doubt around Apple’s autonomous car direction, and Apple isn’t afraid to cancel projects that aren’t working, even if its leadership has publicly talked about what’s in the pipeline. Egil Juliussen, research director for IHS Markit, tells Inverse that Project Titan could still make it in time under certain conditions. Project Titan: Potential Release Date Juliussen believes that the deadline set forth by Kuo can only be achieved if Apple were to hop on the ride-hailing bandwagon. He expects that by 2023 to 2025, companies like Uber and Lyft will have deployed self-driving “robo-taxis” in 15 to 25 major cities. These vehicles are expected to be “Level 4” on the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) scale for autonomy, which means they still have a manual override but should be able to handle themselves even in dicey traffic situations. The most profitable play for Apple would then be to start its own ride-hailing service, which could come built right into the iOS Maps app. But it could also sell its self-driving tech to companies that already have taxi infrastructure. “[That] timeline is only feasible if the application is driverless ride-hailing or robo-taxi using SAE [level 4] technology,” Juliussen tells Inverse. “This means Apple would compete with Waymo, as well as Uber and Lyft. Apple could possibly be a software supplier to ride-hailing companies.” Juliussen does not see development of personal, self-driving cars starting until at least 2026, and commercial availability will be even further down the line. Project Titan: Potential Pricing It’s likely that Project Titan will be the backbone of a ride-hailing service from the get-go. That means prices will depend on where users take a ride and how long the ride is, just like Uber and Lyft pricing. A personal Apple vehicle will vary depending on the type of car the company decides to sell, its features, and factors that aren’t quite clear yet because Project Titan is still in its development stages. Kevin Clark, CEO of self-driving car tech company Aptiv, told Insurance Journal he estimated the cost of a self-driving hardware and software package to range between $70,000 to $150,000. Project Titan: Will There Be Hardware? Reports about whether Apple will bring a new car model to market or if Project Titan will simply be an autonomous vehicle system have been mixed. A recent issue of the German publication Manager Magazin claims that Project Titan engineers have created an electric van prototype with black and silver paint choices, “designed in the typical industrial design of the iPhone.” apple car An artist’s imagining of an Apple car. The report went on to say that Apple is also developing “batteries, electric motors, special seats and interior components.” Based on Apple’s past product releases, Juliussen believes that software will be Project Titan’s focal point. But based on the company’s product releases, he wouldn’t put it past the design giant to be developing hardware to complement its self-driving car system. “It looks like Apple’s Titan project is now focused on developing an AV software platform,” he said. “But it would not be surprising if Apple also included an AV hardware platform built mostly on chips from Nvidia, Intel, and others. Apple has always been great at software-hardware integration, and this would be an advantage for AVs, too.” To make this a reality initially, Apple will need to partner with automakers or ride-hailing services to get vehicles to rapidly adopt its self-driving car software. Establishing a supply chain to manufacture its own vehicles could take years, so the company has inked deals with established companies. “The strength is that Apple is very good at producing [software-hardware] integrated systems, and this should carry over to AV systems,” said Juliussen. “The weakness is that Apple would need to cooperate with major companies such as auto manufacturers and/or ride-hailing operators, which has not been an Apple strength in the past.” apple a12 bionic chip Apple’s Project Titan vehicle could come with its own version of the A12 Bionic chip a few years down the line. Project Titan: Specs Apple has consistently retrofitted its iPhones and iPad with top-of-the-line internals to set its products apart from its competitors. The iPhone XS and the 2018 iPad Pro came with the A12 Bionic and A12X Bionic chipset, respectively. Both 7-nanometer chipsets come with dedicated neural network hardware and can perform trillions of operations per second. Juliussen anticipates that Project Titan will receive similar components, allowing Apple’s AV platform to make complex, split-second decisions while on the road. “Hardware integration could include key sensors, accelerator chips for deep learning, and neural networks, and the computers to run sensor fusion and AV driving software,” he said. “Apple may develop their own [deep learning-neural network] accelerator chips.” apple car headlight technology Project Titan could come with smart headlights that prioritize illuminating street signs and pedestrians. Project Titan: Advanced Headlight System A series of United States Patent and Trademark Office filings has shed light on the kind of features Apple is thinking about offering with its vehicle. The most recentone hinted at a sensor-enabled headlight system that could be capable of detecting and illuminating objects from 180 feet away. Plus, a near infrared sensor that could pick up on road obstacles 600 feet in front of the vehicle. These patents line up with 2018 filings that suggested Project Titan could use artificial intelligence and facial recognition to prioritize more light in that specific area to spot street signs and pedestrians. Project Titan: A Car Designed in California Will Have a Sun Roof Apple’s self-driving car could also include a sun roof. A patent published by the USPTO depicted 17 possible designs for Project Titan’s future sun roof. Most variations make use of a sliding mechanism used to open up the roof like a hatch. https://fsmedia.imgix.net/d4/ae/d3/86/39e0/46ae/a77c/9c56b8e25cc5/an-artists-imagining-of-an-apple-car.jpeg?auto=format%2Ccompress&w=650 apple project titan sun roof One of the 17 sunroof variants Apple’s patent demonstrated for Project Titan. Project Titan: Augmented Reality Features Apple has also been refining its augmented reality technology recently and reportedly plans to release a couple of products that could be centered around AR, including potential features for Project Titan. The company currently offers ARKit to iOS developers, which will allow them to develop apps and tools using the tech for iPhones and iPads. The 2019 iPhones are also expected to come with a specialized camera that would allow them to implement AR in ways no other smartphone has done. Finally, Kuo predicted Apple would launch a pair of iPhone-enabled AR glassescand that Project Titan’s might come with AR displays, riffing off of the glasses’ capabilities. This would mean the car’s windshield and windows could act like an interactive tablet, indicating points of interest and road information. AR applications like these were debuted at CES 2019. Apple could develop their own take on this kind of tech over the next four to six years just in time to make it a major selling point for their futuristic vehicle. |

Google might have taken the show at this year’s Game Developer Conference with its Stadia cloud gamblingreveal, however Microsoft is difficult at work on its own service, xCloud, that it’s already testing currently. At a GDC developer session yesterday, Microsoft representatives from the xCloud team gave USA a touch additionaldetail into however games designed for Xbox consoles can translate over to mobile devices, wherever players may be accustomed either a Bluetooth controller or on-screen bit controls. xCloud, like Stadia, is meant to be a cloud gambling service that may stream high-quality, console and PC-grade experiences to any screen. Microsoft is beginning with its existing Xbox library of games, with a spotlight on first-party titles like Forza Horizon four, and robot phones, given Microsoft’s disposition lately to figure across in operation systems and platforms. (It’s conjointly value noting that Microsoft not encompasses a phone platform of its own.) Of course, streaming a game designed to be contend on a controller to a mobile device, wherever users may bewhile not a Bluetooth controller and mistreatment bit controls instead, can gift a small amount of a challenge. in step with Gus Apostol, a principal program manager functioning on xCloud, the method that may work while notrequiring developers to thoroughly rearchitect their games is thru a collection of xCloud-specific developer tools, together with the bit Adaptation Kit tool and Microsoft’s cloud aware Apis. MICROSOFT desires IT TO BE straightforward FOR DEVELOPERS to maneuver CONSOLE GAMES OVER TO MOBILE The bit Adaptation Kit are the way for developers to simply apply touchscreen controls to a game designed to be contend with a controller or mouse and keyboard. Microsoft says all developers can want may be a JSON, or JavaScript Object Notation, file to map the desired inputs into a clear overlay, like you’d get with a typical ported mobile game that’s been restored to figure on iOS or robot. though during this case, it’s happening over Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, and then it needs a lot of less excavation into the sport’s code than if you were to port the game with native bit controls. As for the cloud aware Apis, Microsoft says it’s developing them specially to require advantage of however xCloud users may play a game on mobile devices. that features the implantation of latest save states within the event that individuals register shorter play sessions in an exceedingly game not originally designed for bite-sized taking part in. The Apis will let developers simply modify visual interface things like text legibility and menu layout, in order that they operate higher on smaller screens. We still don’t grasp a lot of else concerning xCloud in its current kind. Apostol wouldn’t say something concerningonce the service is meant to arrive or maybe once it would be receptive beta testers. However, following Google’s Stadia reveal, Xbox chief Phil Herbert Spencer sent out a division-wide memoranda, since leaked to Thurrott.com, that illustrated that Microsoft was closely being attentive to the competition. “Google went massive nowadays and that we have a handful of months till E3 after we can go massive,” Herbert Spencer wrote within the memoranda. “We got to keep agile and still build with our client at the middle. we’ve gotthe content, community, cloud team and strategy, and as I’ve been oral communication for a moment, it’s all concerning execution. this can be even additional true nowadays.” find more on: satelitebox.com

There’s a reason why Apple needs everybody talking concerning its new services on Monday and on the far side— revenue from services could be a growing a part of Apple’s business that is taking up larger importance amid speed iPhone sales. throughout the 2018 vacation quarter, Apple recorded just below $10.9 billion in revenue from services, which has the App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay and iCloud among alternative things. That was a nineteen p.c increase from the year-ago quarter, and Apple would like to keep that growth going throughout 2019 and on the far side. So what services can Apple introduce Monday to assist support that a part of its business? the corporate may perpetually have some surprises future, however supported rumors encompassing the Show Time event, here’s a glance at what Apple may announce along side odds on the chance of it happening and the way you’ll be able to watch. Instead, Apple’s streaming service seems like it’s getting to specialize in bundling up content from differentsources and marketing it for a monthly fee, of that the corporate can take a healthy cut. Expect a number of that original Apple programming to be featured in there, tho’ some reports recommend Apple may supply its original shows without charge to homeowners of iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and different devices. Carolina Milanesi, a principal analyst for artistic methods, aforementioned that over time, she’d prefer to see Apple’s new service showcase the investment it’s created in original content, however that the short focus may well be on providing an honest library of programming in a very one-stop look. “Right now, I actually havecompletely different subscriptions —Prime, Hulu, Netflix and cable,” she said. “While my good TV helps Pine Tree State navigate my content OK, there area unit still many steps that would be avoided through one service.” A big question Apple can ought to answer Mon is however its streaming service stands out from established offerings from Netflix and Amazon, among others. a method may well be Apple Music — it isn’t out of the question that Apple may supply a bundle that mixes its fledgling video service with its in style streaming music giving. “Netflix has tremendous content depth at the side of compelling exclusives. Amazon currently has its own triumphcontent, however Prime’s worth proposition could be a combination of things to look at at the side of shipping and different services and discounts,” Greengart aforementioned. “Apple can give distinctive content, distinctivebundles, or both. however customers area unit spoiled for alternative without delay, and if Apple’s shows aren’t price observation, bundling Music or on-line storage isn’t getting to be enough.” What I Think Will Happen: It’s no secret Apple’s planning to announce a video service Monday. hunt for Apple to detail what channels areenclosed in its service and preview a number of the initial programming it’s lined up. we expect Apple Music remains a separate service for currently. Find More www.satelitebox.com An Apple News Service Apple’s iOS app already options a news app wherever you’ll scan curated articles tailored to your interests. howeverApple sounds like it’s planning to bet you’d pay to scan even a lot of articles from a lot of choose sources. The company is reportedly developing a service that is been dubbed “Netflix for News” — a magazine-style app that is getting to collect articles from various magazines and newspapers and place them behind a paywall. Apple can charge $9.99 a month for this service, in step with multiple reports, and it’s possible to unveil specificallywho’s concerned throughout Monday’s event. “Maybe there may well be a bed approach wherever for the lower subscriptions you simply have variety|variety} of articles you’ll scan over a month which number changes as you go up the value purpose,” Milanesi aforementioned. “Or reckoning on what [Apple’s] been ready to do with publisher ,it may well be as straightforward as $9.99 [for] read-as-much-as-you-can on a group range of publications so you add for premium ones — reasonably what you are doing with cable.” It looks like an honest deal for potential subscribers United Nations agency can get access to multiple news sources for one fee that is not up to what they’d got to pay if they were to sign in for every service singly. Publishers, however, could also be reluctant to reach half the subscription fee to Apple and apportion the remaining pile among themselves. that is why the Wall Street Journal is reportedly in, however the Washington Post and the big apple Times seem to be giving Apple’s subscription news service a pass. What I Think Will Happen: Apple’s news service is virtually a certainty. what is less clear is that partners are going to be undraped. An Apple Credit Card Apple likes to trumpet Apple Pay, its mobile billfold service, and the way several transactions it’s concerned in (1.8 billion within the vacation quarter alone). therefore you’ll be able to imagine the corporate would love a number ofthe purchases to be through with associate degree Apple-branded mastercard. That’s apparently what Apple is functioning on with Goldman Sachs, in step with a Bloomberg report. precise details are not renowned nonetheless, however the Apple mastercard would be a part of a revamped billfold app in iOS twelve. Reportedly, the forthcoming iOS twelve.2 update includes changes to Apple Pay and billfold that will support this payments feature. What I Think Will Happen: A mastercard looks like loads to announce on prime of 2 streaming services that we all know can debut. howeverApple Pay itself was undraped throughout 2014’s iPhone vi launch, thus it isn’t like Apple hasn’t found time to figure in mobile payments news amid alternative product announcements within the past. Apple Automotive If Monday’s event is concentrated on Apple increasing its business on the far side core product like smartphones, tablets and computers, then Apple might shed additional light-weight on what it’s acting on with cars. After all, it isn’t very a secret that the corporate has some form of automotive effort happening, tho’ the precise nature of Apple’s plans — is it acting on a additional elaborate version of Car Play, software package for self-driving cars or one thing else entirely? — remains up within the air. Considering that Apple reportedly affected two hundred staff off its long-rumored automotive efforts earlier this year, it’s unlikely that Apple can have something to publically announce any time shortly. however rumors concerning Apple’s interest within the automobile area unit possible t continue, particularly as Apple mulls new revenue-generating opportunities. Augmented Reality It’s also no secret that Apple expects increased reality to be a part of its future. Tim Cook has spoken sky-high regarding the chances of the technology, Apple’s discharged 2 versions of its ARKit developer tools to assist build AR apps, and therefore the company is even reportedly performing on AR glasses that might come in production by the tip of the year, in step with some reports. But AR is not a service — not however anyhow. And Apple’s AR efforts so far are just about tied to the iPhone, Associate in Nursing Apple product that get pleasure from its day within the sun later this year. What We Think Will Happen: Expect AR to be a subject of spoken language at Apple’s developer conference in Gregorian calendar month. however not here. Any Hardware at All? Yes, in but per week we have seen new iPads, new iMac, and a brand new set of AirPods. however have you ever in deep trouble US late, Apple? As unlikely as new hardware product could appear — “People get distracted once there area unit shiny new things,” Milanesi same — there area unit a couple of devices that might slot in with the services Apple is pitching on Mon. “The solely hardware that will build heaps of sense on Mon is associate degree Apple TV with integrated Siri, the same as the FireTV Cube,” Milanesi same. alternative reports counsel that Apple would possibly revive the iPod bit this year, tho’ an occasion specializing in video and news subscriptions looks like the incorrect acceptable that sort of product. What I Think Will Happen: There’s a reason Apple declared its hardware updates in the week, which was to clear the decks in order that its new services may fancy the spotlight. www.satelitebox.com

The Samsung Galaxy S10e prices $749 / £669 / AU$1,199, which can get you 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. It solely comes in one size presently, therefore you won’t have any perplexity in selecting that size to travel for. The iPhone XR meantime starts at $749 / £749 / AU$1,229 – therefore it’s the constant value because the Galaxy S10e within the America, however dearer in different regions. This tag can get you simply 3GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, therefore its specs square measure down from the Galaxy S10e. If you would like that further internal memory you’re in luck as there square measure larger sizes accessible. you’llget a 128GB or 256GB version of the iPhone XR for $799 / £799 / AU$1,299 or $899 / £899 / AU$1,479 severally. Galaxy S10e vs iPhone XR: design and display Neither the Samsung Galaxy S10e nor the iPhone XR look an entire ton totally different from different phones in their ranges, however there square measure still some fascinating options on each. The Samsung Galaxy S10e distinguishes itself from its siblings with its size – at 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9mm, and with a five.8-inch show, it’s a petite device compared. The iPhone XR could be a little larger, at 150.9 x 75.7 x 8.3mm and self-praise a half-dozen.1-inch show. It’s value saying that whereas the Galaxy S10e could be a smaller variation of the Samsung Galaxy S10, the iPhone XR is if truth be told larger than the iPhone XS. in this sense the XR feels plenty additional sort of a‘flagship’ device rather than an inexpensive variant, whereas the Galaxy S10e is recognizably smaller and cheaper. Regarding the show, the Samsung Galaxy S10e contains a 1080 x 2280 AMOLED show with little edge and no notch. Instead, there’s a punch-hole dig the screen for the front-facing camera. The iPhone XR on the opposite hand uses AN 828 x 1792 {lcd|liquid crystal show|LCD|digital display|alphanumeric display} display with an oversized notch housing the front-facing camera. that the Galaxy S10e contains a higher resolution screen ANd an arguably additional fashionable style. But vogue is subjective and in our iPhone XR review we tend to usually praised its screen, therefore we’d suggesttesting each out before you choose on that you like. One vital distinction between the 2 is that the ports – whereas the Galaxy S10e contains a USB-C instrumentalityand a three.5mm electro-acoustic transducer jack, the iPhone XR solely contains a Lightning port, therefore you’ll ought to get AN adapter to attach your headphones if they’re wired. Elsewhere, the 2 phones ar similar, with glass backs, metal frames and probably colourful finishes. Samsung Galaxy S10e vs iPhone XR: cameras Sign up today for free and be the first to get notified on new updates. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has 2 rear cameras – a 12MP main device with a variable aperture, and a 16MP super-wide f/2.2 camera, whereas the iPhone XR contains a single 12MP f/1.8 optical lens snapper. On the front the previous contains a 10MP f/1.9 camera whereas the latter contains a 7MP f/2.2 TrueTone lens. For each it looks that the Galaxy S10e outranks the iPhone XR, however there’s additional to photography than the lenses. For example, the Galaxy S10 series comes with a spread of ‘scene optimizers’, that uses AI to acknowledge a theme and mechanically tweak the settings to utterly match the image you’re making an attempt to require. This means your cat won’t be lit within the same means as your dish, and a large scenic shot can have completely different distinction to a selfie in a very dark bar. therefore responsibility for an excellent image mostly falls to the phone, not you. The iPhone XR contains a similar operate, referred to as sensible HDR. With this, the camera can take multiple photos before and once you press the shutter, and therefore the device can mix all of them to make an excellentcomposite shot. That additionally means that if the lighting suddenly changes, or your selfie participant accidentally sneezes, you’ll be ready to wind through the photographs taken and notice the proper one. Samsung Galaxy S10e vs iPhone XR: battery Battery would appear a straightforward factor to match – the Samsung Galaxy S10e contains a three, 100mAh battery and also the iPhone XR contains a a pair of, 942mAh one, that may be a little however probably vital distinction. In apply tho’, we’ve found that the iPhone XR can well last on a daily basis of moderate use, still as outlasting most different iPhone models. thus its life is on top of average. Keep a watch out for our full Samsung Galaxy S10e review to ascertain however that phone holds up. In any case, each devices have their own options to assist you prolong their battery life, or recharge simply. The iPhone XR has Apple’s A12 Bionic chipset, that is optimized to hold out tasks whereas minimizing battery drain, whereas each phones support wireless charging, thus you’ve got additional ways in which to power them duplicate. The S10e additionally supports reverse wireless charging, that helps you to use the phone to charge differentcompatible devices, as well as iPhones, however it’s not the speediest thanks to animate your gadgets. Galaxy S10e vs iPhone XR: specs and features The Samsung Galaxy S10e usually comes with 6GB of RAM and that’s paired with either a flower 855 or Exynos 9820 chipset, betting on wherever you’re within the world. each of these ar top-end, octa-core chipsets. A model with 8GB of RAM has additionally been declared, however that’s not presently wide obtainable. The iPhone XR is equally high-end tho’, because it uses Apple’s top-end A12 Bionic chipset. That’s paired with a smaller 3GB of RAM, however Apple’s flagships typically have less RAM than rivals and it ne’er holds them back. In different words then, neither phone is lacking power. One of the largest variations you’ll notice once mistreatment the Samsung Galaxy S10e or iPhone XR is that theOS – the Galaxy S10e runs robot nine Pie, whereas the iPhone XR runs iOS twelve. You may have your preference on in operation systems, however in apply there’s very little purposeful distinctionbetween them – you’ll transfer and run most of constant apps, and also the phone home screen appearancesimilar. The main variations ar little options that one OS has and also the different doesn’t, like Screen Time on iOS twelve, that tells you ways a lot of you’re mistreatment your phone – tho’ even then robot contains a similar feature dubbed Digital prosperity. Samsung Galaxy S10e vs iPhone XR: verdict There’s plenty to love concerning each the Samsung Galaxy S10e and also the iPhone XR, particularly once youtake into account the value and options of every compared to their pricey siblings. The iPhone XR is that the larger device, each in terms of style and show, and its OS iOS twelve has several fieryfans, thus it should be the simplest phone for you if you’re trying to find an inexpensive device that would disguise itself as a flagship. On the opposite hand, the Samsung Galaxy S10e feels like a rather additional budget device, and wears this label proudly. It’s cheaper and smaller than the iPhone XR, however still comes with a additional versatile camera array and a much bigger battery. www.satelitebox.com

The first official iOS thirteen news is 3 months away, and Apple is poised to debut huge changes for your iPhone and iPad – excellent news for Apple’s sluggish iPhone sales. Update: we tend to currently understand once iOS thirteen are proclaimed since the WWDC 2019 date is currently public. We’ve enclosed that within the iOS twelve unleash date section below. Even if the iPhone eleven is not expected to envision huge changes, the computer code ought to shift a bunch. We’re due for a contemporary home screen layout and system-wide dark mode. Basically it’s everything that did not create it into iOS twelve and iOS twelve.2, that has principally targeted on stability. The time has come back for Apple’s major UI and app redesigns. iOS thirteen rumors square measure still in their early stages. Most of the options we’ve detected concerningsquare measure ones left on the room floor from a year past. We’ve made public those. We’ve additionally listed our own iOS thirteen feature predictions. These square measure new concepts that Apple might embody in future computer code updates, and very ought to. Most square measure long delinquent. Here’s everything you wish to understand concerning iOS thirteen within the initiate to Apple WWDC 2019 on day. iOS thirteen reveal date is Monday, June 3, as TechRadar properly predict months past. Apple has traditionallyundraped its new computer code at WWDC in San Jose and it’s nearly always the the primary Monday in June. Last year is was Monday, June 4, 2018, and also the year before it had been Monday, June 5, 2017. we tend to see a trend here. iOS thirteen developer beta: the primary iOS thirteen beta can possible reach or some days when WWDC, however it’s planning to be restricted to paid Apple developers. you must in all probability watch for the general public beta, that is often a lot of stable. iOS thirteen public public beta: this is often Apple’s manner of testing options on a bigger scale, which mighthappen toward the tip of June. It’s generally a a lot of refined version of the iOS developer beta, though it will still be rough and ne’er includes all of the options enforced within the final version of the computer code. iOS 13 release date Monday, June 3: WWDC 2019 keynote takes place in San Jose, California Early June: iOS 13 developer beta meant for paid Apple Developers Late June: iOS 13 public beta may launch for adventurous testers September 2019: iOS 13 likely to launch with new 2019 iPhones The official iOS thirteen unleash date: We’ll get the new iOS thirteen computer code in its final, stable type at the iPhone launch event, what we’re occupation the iPhone eleven, iPhone eleven goop and iPhone eleven XR at the instant. The date? in all probability mid-September. We’ll understand evidently at the iPhone launch event. iOS 13 compatibility Apple has continuing to support the iPhone 5S, the primary phone with a 64-bit chipset inside it. It’s seen six versions of iOS, as have the iPad Air and iPad mini two. iOS thirteen may revert to shedding the oldest devices from Apple’s compatibility list, am passionate about itaccustomed do before 2018. meaning iPhone six, iPhone six and, iPad Air 2, iPad mini three, and iPod bit sixthgeneration could be the oldest devices on the iOS thirteen compatibility list. Apple would basically need devices to own the A8 chipset or newer to upgrade to iOS thirteen. This conjointlyhappens to be the kick in the HomePod and Apple TV fourth generation, therefore it brings everything into line. In reality, it’s in Apple’s best interest that you just upgrade your hardware, too. we tend to saw what happened oncethe corporate price-dropped its battery replacement service in 2018. Don’t expect it to travel too way with the iOS thirteen compatibility list cuts . there is a rumor that iOS thirteenalso will axe support for the iPhone six, iPhone 6S, iPad Air 2, and even the iPhone SE. However, you mustn’tcommit this early speculation. Some publications like guess in hopes of obtaining it right rather vs news factual data. One thing’s for sure: no matter happens, do not expect Apple to create a politician announcement at WWDC 2019 if the iPhone 5S is not compatible with iOS thirteen. The phone can simply show informed a slide, or it will not. Also, bear in mind that not each iOS thirteen feature can return to any or all devices thereon list. Some new ideascould need the TrueDepth camera, a rear dual-lens system, or 3D bit. Big iPad changes needed Every 2 years, the iPad looks to induce a flurry of purposeful changes. we tend to saw this with iOS eleven nearly 2 years agone and iOS nine 2 years before that. That means – in our minds a minimum of – the iOS thirteen update is destined to alter up the iPad software package, and it should be in a shot to create the iPad a stronger ‘computer.’ That was our chief grievance of the iPad eleven and iPad twelve.9 in 2019. notwithstanding iOS twelve is nice on phones, it feels limiting on a pillonce we needed to try to to real work. We’d like to see a ‘Desktop Mode’ to enhance our progress, with a menu and taskbar across the highest and bottom. Going along side this is often our want to ascertain Bluetooth mouse support. iOS thirteen would, of course, ought to embrace support for a indicator. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 additional all of those options in 2018, however with terrible touchscreen execution. Apple may do what it will best Associate in Nursingd refine an existing automaton plan till ‘it simply works.’ Interestingly, the most recent home screen rumor (more thereon below) mentions that it’s Associate in NursingiPad-specific amendment. Apple may be building its new home screen UI revamp for the iPad before it ever-changing something on the iPhone. Expanding on the Apple Files app and supporting secondary storage would conjointly create the iPad professionala far additional productivity-friendly device, as would the long-rumored multi-user support. iPads, after all, area unit usually shared among relations. Home screen redesign Sign up today for free and be the first to get notified on new updates. JOIN OUR NEWSLETTER satelitebox.com iOS thirteen could bring the first-ever major changes to the iOS home screen, and it’s delinquent. We’ve had this app tile layout since the primary iPhone launched in 2007. It works, sure, however it is also a small amount stale. While last year’s rumors mentioned a home screen refresh, it did not enter detail concerning the potential changes. We’d, however, envision elements of this these days screen (that left widget-like screen) creating its method onto the house screen. Being able to peek at snippets of knowledge – the 5-day forecast, your next calendar appointment, and also thelatest Apple News headlines – would be a welcome addition to the unchanged iOS app grid. When talking up Apple Watch face complications, the team behind it used the words ‘glanceable information’ a great deal. that will be a natural suitable the iOS thirteen home screen. However, the most recent iOS thirteen rumors counsel that this is often AN iPad-specific amendment. We’ll have to be compelled to wait to envision if the iPhone will get in on the house screen UI changes, too. iOS 13 dark mode seems very likely iOS thirteen could indeed be the update during which Apple finally comes through with the long-rumored ‘dark mode.’ We’ve been hearing concerning it for variety of years. Apple introduced a dark mode for macOS Mojave at WWWC last year, therefore it’s fitting to listen to Bloomberg report that iOS thirteen goes to try and do an equivalent for the iPhone and iPad in 2019. If the rumor is correct, this may create it easier to seem at apps at night. there is a ton of white and bright hues among current app color schemes, therefore toning them down would be an excellent thanks to compliment the blue-light-reducing Night Shift mode. Camera app revamp Apple’s camera app is extraordinarily basic. it has been a blessing and a curse. it is simple for fewer tech-savvy iPhone house owners to use, however additional advanced users square measure missing out on options that mayallow them to fine-tine their photos and videos. A revamp to the camera app was conjointly among last year’s leaks, and that is the amendment that piqued our interest the foremost. The Samsung Galaxy S9 has the power to snap a photograph with gestures, whereas the LG V40’s video tools enable you to fluidly zoom into anyplace on the screen, not simply the spatial relation. The Google component three has another an evening Sight mode that aims to finish the requirement for a frequently-photo-ruining flash. Expect Apple to stay the camera app efficient, however sprinkle in additional advanced tools. And if all we tend toget is that the ability to vary resolutions and frame rates from within the camera app (and not within the settings menu), that’d be adequate. Health and Activity apps on the iPad Your health and fitness knowledge deserves to be seen at nine.7 inches and twelve.9 inches, and that is what we’re hoping for from the iOS thirteen update within the coming back months. Both the Apple Health app and Activity app (the one with the rings) gift loads of knowledge to comb over, and seeing bars, graphs, running maps, and numerous numbers stretched on the massive screen would be ideal. Right now, each apps square measure restricted to the Apple Watch and also the iPhone. We think Apple can try this eventually. Doctors may review health knowledge with patients additional simply, for instance, and senior voters have complained to United States of America that their iPhone is simply too little to browse all of the health knowledge. We’d conjointly wish to see each apps on macOS, however one half-trackstep at a time. Clipboard manager Clipboard manager apps do exist, providing multi-copy and paste and duplicate and paste history, however they are all rather limiting as a result of they are not engineered into the UI. Apple may amendment this in iOS thirteen, and it’s in our own way within which productivity on the iPad may beincreased. Having a full writing board manager work the system level would conjointly facilitate stop repeatingover what is in our writing board presently. SPAM call blocking iOS thirteen wants higher SPAM decision interference. completely wants it in 2019. It’s one among the most effective options of the Google component three and component three XL, nonetheless the increasing nuisance of telemarketers persists on the iPhone. Okay, last year’s iOS update did a minimum of add a decision interference and identification possibility. howeverusers ought to invest in Associate in Nursing app (that typically prices cash annually) to induce smart SPAM decision interference protection. Apps like Hiya value $2.99/month or $14.99/year for premium service. The good news is that we tend to see an enormous shift happening. Verizon is creating its SPAM and robocall feature free beginning in March, and Apple was recently issued a patent for this type of feature. Change WiFi and Bluetooth via Control Central Connecting to new wireless fidelity networks or Bluetooth devices while not exiting the app you are victimizationis not possible. Sure, centre permits you to toggle wireless fidelity and Bluetooth on and off via this drop menu, however shift between connections needs you to dive into the Settings menu and submenus. that is rather annoying. iOS thirteen may simply amendment this, with another opaque overlay menu that permits you to choose your connections while not kicking you out of your current app. this is able to be particularly handy once traveling and perpetually sport through multiple open wireless fidelity networks. it would be a road inside a bearing Center road, and we’d be okay therewith. More iOS 13 news to come iOS thirteen remains many months away, even in beta kind. However, as we have a tendency to meet up with to Apple’s WWDC 2019 keynote in Gregorian calendar month, we have a tendency to expect additional leaks to emerge regarding what the corporate is functioning on. If they are doing pop into the news, we’ll report on them here. We’ll got to expect the ultimate version of UI, doubtless in Sept with AN iPhone eleven launch event. However, the potential iOS thirteen options on top of offer you a thought of wherever the iPhone and iPad computer code mayhead in 2019. www.satelitebox.com

That’s no totally different than today’s Teslas, but the company’s web site guarantees “full self-driving capability, enabling automatic driving on town streets and highways” unfinished government approval. this method can deema network of twelve supersonic sensors, every unfolded across the vehicle for full, 360-degree awareness. Last month, AT&T started dynamic the 4G logos on some automaton phones to mention 5G E. whereas the phones can be obtaining slightly quicker speeds, they’re not, despite AT&T’s selling, running on a 5G network. AT&T’s peers quickly known as out the carrier thereon and Sprint filed a causa stating, “What AT&T touts as 5G, however, is nothing quite Associate in Nursing increased fourth generation future Evolution wireless service, referred to as 4G LTE Advanced, that is obtainable by all alternative major wireless carriers.” AT&T’s true 5G network can glide by the stigmatization 5G+. There’s Associate in Nursing race of types, however it suggests that very little within the close to future. 5G guarantees to bring ultra-high speeds and ultra-low latency, permitting devices to require advantage of edge computing. however at launch, in 2019 and maybe even 2020, devices can simply have access to quicker speeds — and to several users, that may not be enough to justify upgrading.
