The hardship we are facing in Nigeria today is NOT an act of God. It is not natural. It is HUMAN-MADE.

Fuel subsidy removed without plan.
Naira floated without safety net.
Inflation pushed to 34%.
Electricity tariff increased.
School fees out of reach.
Bag of rice is now N100k.This hardship was made by APC, by the people in power today. It is man-made.
And the cost of being indifferent in the face of this man-made hardship is MORE HARDSHIP.

If you sit at home and say "politics is not my business" on election day, APC will remain and fuel will become N2,000.

If you collect N5,000 to sell your vote, your children will pay N500,000 school fees for the next four years.

If you say "all parties are the same" - your landlord will increase your rent again next month.

Indifference is expensive. Silence is expensive.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MONTHLY DEDUCTIONS OF THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE (MOD) STAFF?

Nigerians,

We are aware that our security men and women have been cheated without remorse. Treated like a common man on the streets.

This issue has become a serious concern, which needs an urgent attention of the Nigerian public, the media, civil society organisations, relevant authorities, and everyone who believes in fairness, accountability and justice.

For years, various sums have been deducted from the salaries of staff of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), for different purposes including: Cooperative Society contributions, pension, housing funds and other third-party deductions.

These deductions which is the hard-earned money of workers—money intended to provide financial security, support families, build homes, prepare for retirement and improve the welfare of staff, has not been accounted for.

Our question is simple: who will answer for the funds?

This situation is not merely an administrative issue. It has a human face and obnoxious

It is deeply concerning when workers faithfully perform their duties and have deductions made from their salaries, yet experience prolonged difficulty accessing the benefits or funds those deductions were intended to secure.

We therefore appeal to:

•The Federal Government
• The Ministry of Defence.
• The Nigerian media;
to urgently investigate these concerns, establish the facts, ensure full accountability and provide a clear resolution to affected workers.
Government have to be responsive to the yearnings of it's security apparatus. And ensure demands are urgently met.

We therefore, call on the relevant authorities to listen before the frustration of affected workers grows further.

Since the abrupt removal of petrol subsidy in May 2023, families in Agege and across Nigeria have faced soaring prices of fuel, transport, and food. While the government claims huge savings, ordinary people still ask: Where is the money? Where are the improvements in healthcare, education, security, and jobs?

Atiku did not initially oppose subsidy reform. But the hardship of the past three years has changed the reality. If elected in 2027, he will restore relief through a better system.

This is not a return to the old corrupt import subsidy. Under his plan:
Subsidy shifts from imports to domestic production.
Nigerian refineries get preferential crude, with strict conditions for transparency and efficiency.
Benefits must reach consumers at the pump.
The system will be capped, budgeted, audited, and time-bound.

This approach supports local refining, creates jobs, and eases the burden on ordinary Nigerians.

Hon. Chief Hafis Owolabi Bello (HOB) will pursue a bold and people-centered healthcare transformation that directly confronts the long-standing failures of abandoned projects, weak infrastructure, and poor accountability that have plagued Lagos West Senatorial District. Across the district, several primary healthcare centres have either been left uncompleted or neglected despite allocated funds, leaving communities without access to basic care . HOB will break this cycle by ensuring that every constituency-funded hospital or PHC is not only built but fully equipped, staffed, and operational.
He will champion legislation that ties budget releases to verified project delivery, introduce real-time public monitoring of health projects, and prioritize the rehabilitation of all abandoned facilities into functional centres that serve the people effectively.

Beyond infrastructure, HOB’s approach will uniquely focus on accessibility, workforce support, and preventive healthcare, areas where the current system has struggled.
Many PHCs in Lagos West Senatorial District face severe staffing shortages and inadequate facilities, with less than half having sufficient medical personnel and critical amenities, while strikes and system inefficiencies have disrupted essential services for patients. HOB will advocate for a “Community Health Guarantee Scheme” that ensures every ward has a fully staffed, 24-hour functional PHC, supported by incentives to retain health workers and deploy mobile clinics to underserved communities.
He will also push for strict regulation against quack medical practices, expand health insurance access for low-income families, and invest in digital health records to eliminate the chaos of manual systems.
His mission is clear: to build a healthcare system in Lagos West that is not just available, but reliable, accountable, and truly life-saving for every resident.
