Why are you al hating on the Igbos? Personal i don't see anything wrong in their demand, mind you, they said 70% ownership of property not in terms of population, if you have access to Abj property/investment owners data base you will understand the guy is right, he never said is must only pleaded for consideration following their contribution in FCT, if you think the 70% is much then you need to carry out some reasearch on that, at least my family own more than 4 houses in Maitama and Wuse2, if you go by such statistics per family or individuals you will understand better.

Just stumbled on this post and i am overwhelmed by the contributions and responses given by professionals in the industry especially Scantee. I really appreciate your contribution sir. Am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering,presently working as a service engineer in a tricycle company. My dream is to work in the oil and gas industry. Last year, i did an interview in a drilling company(oil and gas) and until this moment, we've not been contacted yet. What kind of certifications do i need to work as a roustabout in the drilling industry since that is the starting level for freshers in the drilling field @ Scantee the senior oga in the house. Bro Gej is never the problem of Train7 Delay, JVC-MU/AA & other hiden elements which i can't mention here are the problem. Visit Nlng Brass site in Bayelsa State & see what is going on there, doing soil testing for more than 5yrs now project never kick off, even Huyndia there are jst using their staff for a ride. I spoke to the community youth leader there two days back, though things he said is promising and positive, he gave me an insight exactly what is going on there and while the delay, i got to even know that there is hidden fight btwn okpoama and brass. Though soon it will kick off with over 100,000 vacancies.

if he still searching for jobs in top O&G coys tell him never to add why he was layoff from the previous company in his cv, rather he should twist it as ( just one year contract with the company) saying that ur droped from work due to the company is downsize can be of disadvantage to u, it means your service is nt much valued or you have nothing special to offer the company, because if you do they must find way to accommodate you or replace somebody with you.

Firstly, he should commit the matter to God Almighty. This matter is like breakfast for God.

The nice thing here is that he has experience in a top coy. like Halliburton. He should compile a list of O&G companies then start blasting his CV, cover letter and credentials to their recruitment portals or HR mail addresses.

Perseverance pays.

PS: Because God is a miracle worker, He will get a job before he has finished compiling the list sef (if he commits it to God firstly).
