FamilyRe: Why Do People Get Married Especially Men Knowing Fully Well They Can't Cater For by Scholace: 5:13pm On Dec 14, 2023
blowjohn:
Why did u go to school knowing fully well that ur degree won't earn u a job?

I hope that answers ur question
You're wrong

You can't compare both. we're the major cause of poverty in Nigeria before government. our mentality as Africans is so wack reason why we're a third world country. Most average Nigerian consider age for marriage. once a man is getting close to 40 and he's poor, he'd be considering marriage. Even if he'll stay in his father's house. That is why poverty will forever keep growing in Nigeria. He will get married and hope the children will bring blessings or any of the children might growup and become Dangote😂

There's this guy in my neighborhood, he should be in his early or mid 40s, he's a security guard who barely feed. he lives in his father's house. he was given a room self contain. he impregnated a lady and brought her home. the lady has put to bed. i heard he has left the security job and was given a bike to ride on hirepurchase. That is how poverty keep growing because another generation has come in with additional mouth to feed

in every 100 poor people in Nigeria, hardly will 10 among them escape poverty at the end. The rest obviously die poor and pass the baton to their children

some get married having known that they're poor so it'd be suicidal to them not to have a child or children. to them they felt they've lost in both sides if they didn't have a child.

Going to school is not basically to get job. it's far beyond that. Although our educational system has outlived the purpose of educating the masses. nonetheless, you can't compare getting education to how the poor keep breeding and getting married with the "E go better" mantra pass across generation to generation

RomanceLoving And Lying by Scholace(op): 7:47am On Apr 22, 2023
Lying and love are two concepts that are often regarded as polar opposites, yet they are more intertwined than one might initially think. Deception in a romantic relationship can range from harmless white lies to more significant betrayals of trust, and it can have profound impacts. For those in love, lying can be a difficult line to navigate. Although honesty is a crucial component of any relationship, people may still be hesitant to disclose certain pieces of information. This article will explore the complicated relationship between love and deceit, examine the types of lies commonly told in romantic relationships, and offer advice on how to build and maintain trust and honesty in a healthy relationship.

The Complicated Relationship between Love and Deceit

Love and deceit are two concepts that seem mutually exclusive, yet often go hand in hand. While honesty is typically a cornerstone of any healthy relationship, the reality is that even the most loving partnerships can be built on a foundation of lies. So how does one navigate this tricky balance between love and deceit?

Exploring the Tricky Balance between Love and Honesty

At the core of any happy, long-term relationship is a foundation of trust and transparency. But it's easy to see how love can make people feel as though they need to hide certain truths about themselves or their past. When we care deeply for someone, we may not want to risk losing them by being completely honest about certain aspects of our lives.
However, it's important to recognize when these small fibs become bigger deceptions. When lying becomes a pattern in a relationship, it can damage the trust and communication that is so vital to its success. The key is finding a happy medium - where partners are open and honest about the important things, but also understand and forgive the occasional white lie.

Types of Lies Common in Romantic Relationships

So what are some of the most common lies that arise in romantic partnerships?

White Lies

These are minor falsehoods, typically told to avoid conflict or spare someone's feelings. For example, telling your partner that you love their new haircut, even if it's not your favorite.

Deception about Finances

Money is a common source of tension in relationships, and lying about finances can lead to major trust issues. This can include lying about debt or overspending.

Lies about Infidelity

Perhaps the most damaging type of lie in a romantic relationship is one about infidelity. Even if someone feels like they're protecting their partner by keeping an affair secret, the truth almost always comes out eventually and causes irrevocable damage.

Why do People Lie to their Partners?

So why do people lie to the ones they love? While every situation is unique, there are a few common reasons that dishonesty can crop up in a romantic relationship.

Fear of Rejection

Many people are afraid that if they reveal certain truths about themselves or their past, their partner may reject them. This can lead to lying about everything from one's personal habits to their history.

Avoiding Conflict

Sometimes people lie to avoid having difficult conversations or arguments with their partner. This can include hiding one's feelings or concerns, or telling small lies to keep the peace.

Emotional Insecurity

Finally, some people lie out of a sense of emotional insecurity. They may worry that their partner will leave them if they reveal certain truths, or feel like they need to exaggerate or lie about their accomplishments to feel validated.

The Consequences of Lying in a Relationship

No matter the reason behind the lie, the consequences of dishonesty in a relationship can be severe.

Broken Trust

The most immediate consequence of lying is broken trust. When someone discovers that their partner has been dishonest with them, it can be difficult to rebuild that sense of security and openness that is so vital to a healthy relationship.

Damaged Communication

Dishonesty can also damage communication between partners. When someone is lying, even about something small, it can cause the other person to question everything they've been told. This can lead to a breakdown in honest communication and deepening resentment.

Emotional Pain and Suffering

Finally, lying can cause serious emotional pain and suffering for both partners. Finding out that someone you love has been dishonest with you can be a deeply painful experience, and can lead to feelings of betrayal and anger that can be difficult to overcome.

How to Build Trust and Honesty in a Relationship

Trust and honesty are essential components of any healthy relationship. Without them, intimacy and emotional connection are nearly impossible. Building trust and honesty is a gradual process that requires time and effort from both partners. Here are three ways to create an environment of trust and honesty in your relationship.

Creating a Safe and Judgement-Free Environment

Trust cannot exist in an environment of fear or judgement. Therefore, it's crucial to create a safe environment where both partners can be open and honest without fear of criticism or condemnation. This means avoiding blame and criticism, actively listening to your partner, and offering support and encouragement. By creating a safe environment, you can ensure that both partners feel comfortable sharing their deepest fears and insecurities.

Being Transparent and Honest

Transparency and honesty go hand in hand. Lying, even about the smallest things, can undermine trust and erode the foundation of your relationship. Therefore, it's essential to be truthful in all your interactions, even when it's difficult. This requires being accountable for your actions, admitting your mistakes, and owning up to your flaws. By being transparent and honest, you can show your partner that you value their trust and are committed to building a lasting relationship.

Forgiving and Building Trust Again

No relationship is perfect, and conflicts are bound to happen. When they do, it's essential to approach them with an open mind and a willingness to forgive. Forgiveness is not about forgetting or excusing the behavior; it's about choosing to let go of anger and resentment and working towards rebuilding trust. This requires patience and effort from both partners, but the reward is a stronger, more resilient relationship.

The Role of Communication and Transparency in a Healthy Relationship

Communication is the cornerstone of any healthy relationship. It's through communication that partners can connect emotionally, understand each other's needs, and solve problems together. However, communication alone is not enough. Transparency is another critical component of a healthy relationship. Here are three ways to encourage open communication and transparency in your relationship.

Importance of Communicating Openly and Honestly

Open and honest communication is essential to building a strong relationship. It means sharing your thoughts, feelings, and concerns with your partner, even when it's uncomfortable. Open communication also means actively listening to your partner's needs and perspectives, without judgement or defensiveness. When both partners communicate openly and honestly, they can build a deeper connection and understand each other better.

Encouraging Transparency and Vulnerability

Transparency requires a willingness to be vulnerable, to share your true self with your partner. When you're transparent, you allow your partner to know you on a deeper level, including your strengths, weaknesses, and fears. Encouraging transparency in your relationship means creating a safe space where both partners can be themselves without fear of judgement or rejection.

Establishing Ground Rules for Honesty

Sometimes, it's helpful to establish ground rules for honesty in your relationship. This can include agreeing to be truthful, even when it's uncomfortable, committing to resolving conflicts in a respectful manner, and being accountable for your actions. Ground rules establish a clear framework for communication and help both partners feel more secure in their relationship. By creating an open, honest, and transparent environment, you can build a relationship that lasts a lifetime. In conclusion, love and lying can be challenging to balance, but honesty is a crucial component of any successful relationship. Being transparent and open with your partner, even about difficult topics, can help establish trust and foster a stronger emotional bond. By being mindful of the types of lies that commonly occur in romantic relationships and working to build a foundation of trust, couples can avoid the negative consequences of deception and enjoy a more fulfilling, honest relationship.
