This shows how myopic you are! Did you watch the game? You want Udinese to sell him yet you are one of those crying day and night that we don't have players in top teams. People like this are surely Obidients! lol! They think upside down!
darkelf:
😂😂😂😂😂😂

But hes way better than nwabalai

They'll bench his ass after this match for sure or sell him
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 7:56pm On Oct 31
They don't have any reason to go 2nil down in Lagos for that matter!
This team has only lost to the hosts in the last two editions. If we had hosted the last two AFCONs we would have surely won one!
GMBOFASIA:
LOL after day light robbery even this team with their mentality if they go 2 goals down against even team like burundi or guinea will you bet they can stage a come back?

Valid point!
Kog45:
Oga Ibrich wetin...going to world cup and winning Afcon is the Koko....I just wish Osimehn and co makes it this time around if they failed,Oga forget o,94 set would still be remembered as the golden generation....1976 to 1980 would have been our first golden generation but missing out 1978 world cup through own goal by Godwin Odiye messed things up,till date no one really see the likes of Odegbami,Aimeasemeka and Chuckwu as better players than 94 set... it's important for this generation to qualify for world cup and possibly win Afcon

You said it all!
Goke7:
Even when some other epl clubs were really interested it was our own people that were chorusing that Osihmen is not disciplined just because of that bust up with Finidi today they are the ones mocking him for remaining in Turkey. Don’t even want to mention the ex player who said Oshimen can’t play in tight spaces to justify why bigger clubs wasn’t buying him. All these stupid narrative is what led the great English legend Gary Lineker to say on live TV that osihmen can just vanish suddenly though he later came back to apologise but that’s how ridiculous things went.

It’s in Nigeria that we are ready to sacrifice our current generation for the older ones who can’t even offer anything anymore to prove what I don’t even understand

And someone will come here and tell me one African country has better players than us! How?

Which of the Super Eagles stars we so much talk about today at 1994 did not play the Olympics? Yekini was more or less out after 94/95!
Kog45:
Olympics team lose to Togo not Super eagles
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 4:45pm On Oct 31
The Dutch tear us 6-1 self!
Goke7:
They always make it look as if that team never disgraced us on some occasions! A team taken apart by Denmark in France 98 by a 4-1 margin. Everything was just well off with them from start to finish, no fumbling at all! Phew
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 4:44pm On Oct 31
You won't see them compare us with any other country except clubs. How someone would intelligently think an African team will play like an European club bemuses me? You expect players with 2/3 days training to play like a club? Are dum...ss?

You saw the real team at AFCON! With time to train and perfect our tactics we became unplayable at AFCON 2026!
lbrichman2:
That's what Goke7 has been drumming into their ears since
We overrate ourselves too much
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 4:21pm On Oct 31
Which country plays like Brighton? You guys and your impossible expectations!
Hardrive:
There is something we can learn from the Brighton team. When they are on the attack, the midfielders attack the box to give them numbers increasing the chances of the attacking play resulting in a goal. That is what I want the super eagles to adopt rather than controlling the midfield that people keep crying for.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 4:20pm On Oct 31
You didn't know they lose 3-1 to Togo before the 96 Olympics and were already written off?
darkelf:
And a top 5 FIFA ranking which has never been achieved by any set since then

And not getting beat by Guinea bissau 3:0 and blaming the pitch

The 94 set were better bro
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 4:12pm On Oct 31
How ironic! The same organization that tweeted years ago that Man United should sign Zirkzee rather than Osimhen!

We fool ourselves too much in this country!

I called out that useless Chukwu guy for using Organization X’s handle to pursue a personal vendetta!

Maybe they’ve sacked the guy, because a few years ago they were Osimhen’s number one enemy!

Going back to my earlier post: an organization tweeting that a club should not sign its own countryman? I had never seen such a thing before. We as a people need serious ...
Goke7:
For the same seriki league? Odikpa serious 😂 I think say dem no Dey play soccer there o
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 2:47pm On Oct 31
You want your players to play for big clubs, yet you’re the first to tweet that your club shouldn’t sign them.

When Man United wanted to sign Dele/Ndidi instead of Belema, you all flooded their page talking crap about Dele and Ndidi.

One of United’s officials managed Dele at Man City and knows his quality, but you all use the national team to judge your players. Quite unfortunate!

What have Semenyo or Ndiaye done for Ghana/Senegal? Yet when City wanted to sign them, their people weren’t tweeting crap about them. National team football is not the same as club football.

Now United is looking at Bassey, and some miscreants have flooded United’s page tweeting that he shouldn’t be signed. Only a few EPL defenders are better than Bassey at the moment!

Even Ajayi, whom we constantly criticize, is now top 3 in the EPL this season!

If you want your players to play for top teams, stop flooding clubs’ pages like parasites to spew rubbish!

That boy has no intention of playing for us.

Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 2:36am On Oct 30
That was because African football was not that advanced during that period. Yet, the only time they did not struggle to qualify for the World Cup was 1998. They were lucky to qualify for 1994 and 2002 (Liberia for that matter) World Cups and missed out to ordinary Angola at 2006!
GMBOFASIA:
They never struggle to qualify for Afcon and World cup
ranked 5th in fifa ranking

More power, my guy! You sabi! We have been so unlucky.
With a little luck and without that useless Sani Abacha (96 & 98), the Super Eagles would have had even more AFCON GOLD than Super Falcons!!
Even if we field our bench, AFCON semis is assured. Except we did not qualify.

South Africa took us to farm, and Zimbabwe artificial grass (World Cup 2026).
Now Guinea Bissau did the same thing yet some dullard think qualifiers determines how good a team is.
To think South Africa feared us that much. lol!
CAF needs to put its house in order and stop sabotaging us!
With a fully fit team, no African team stands a chance against us, man to man at this moment!
minsfelix2:
Afcon 2023 and 2025(we were so unlucky to have lost those games against the host nation, its not easy beating an african powerhouse host nation

Algeria 1990(Algeria meeting us 2wice to beat us)

Tunisia 2004(even with our top guys like Jayjay,Kanu,Utaka,Osaze etc, Tunisia still found a way to eliminate us in semifinal)

Ghana 2008: we still could not beat Ghana in the knockout stage at home

If we had met Senegal in that semifinal, omo forget since they are not the host, we for comot them for road.

In 2023 beating CIV in group stage and meeting them again in the final esp having seen that they were on some fairytale run to the final, omo e go hard to beat that rejuvenated spirit from players and home fans oo.
Give Jpes another team aside CIV in that Final we for carry that cup
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 2:11pm On Oct 28
Osimhen was 8th on the Ballon. Even at Gala no striker in Africa has scored more than him at AFCON or qualifiers.
Lookman plays in ATM. Which Africa wingers has scored more than him in the Champions League?
Chukweze is a starter for Milan. He has 2 man of the match award already this season.
Tolu is tearing up the dutch league with Ajax.
Durosinmi is the highest goal scorer in Belgium.

Dele Bashiru just scored for high flying Lazio last week.
Nnadi ever present for Marseille.
Iwobi and Bassey ever present for Fulham.
Onyedika ever present for Frankfurt.
Tella for Leverkusen
Ejuke is a starter for Sevilla. Just to name a few.
So where are those better players from other African countries.
We have played 2 consecutive AFCONs and only lost just 1 match in 90 mins. Just 1 (a final). What else do you want?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 1:57pm On Oct 28
Can you name the better players Senegal and Morocco have?
I say it again, no team in Africa has Nigeria's players quality.
We have won the APOTY 2 times in 3 years. AFCON Silver and Bronze medallists in the last 2 editions.
Qualifiers is never a measure of a good team. Tunisia, Algeria, DRC, Ghana were at the World Cup but were no where to be found at AFCON.
Someone that uses qualifiers as a measure of a good team does not deserve my valuable time!
darkelf:
Morocco, Senegal have better players at every position bar the no 9 position and it shows. Because both teams are topping African football

The same Nigeria couldn't even make it to the world cup

So yes, its right for them to be worried that a young diomande is at Madrid

Make our U-20 and U-23 players run am if e easy...
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 1:40am On Oct 28
Diamonde that grew up in the USA. One even said it is because of NFF that we couldn't have a Diamonde. Wow! How many under 17/20 has Ivory Coast won? Lack of intelligence. Simply dullness!
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ScholarProf11: 1:37am On Oct 28
You have players in Milan, Lazio, ATM, Ajax, Marseille, Leverkusen, etc but Diamonde playing in Madrid is making you cry.
Even one said he is jealous of Senegalese playing for Villa. Villa that is not playing Champions League but Osihmen at Gala is your problem.
Such a pity. How many country in Africa have the type of players we have?
