Here are the nysc terms and words all Nysc corpers should know the meaning and usage

1. NYSC:- National Youth Service Corps

2. *PCM Prospective Corps Member. It means, awaiting corper

3. *Green Card This is a colored 'print-out' which contains the personal data of a PCM, this document can only be printed out after PCM have completed their online registration.

4. *Call-up Letter This is a letter that NYSC send to every PCM, telling them where the are posted and when to report to the place.

*5. Corps Member* A corps member is a member of the NYSC. A Federal Government kid.

6. *Corper A short way of saying "Corps Member".

7. *Allawee This is a monthly allowances paid to every serving corps member.

8. *LGI:*- Local Government Inspector. An NYSC officer incharge of corps members posted to a certain Local Govt.

9. *AI :*- Area Inspector. Nysc officer incharge of corps members posted in a certain zone of a state. 'LGI' is under 'AI'.

10. *Book of Life:*- This book is very important in the NYSC camp; hence the name "book of life". All the corps members in NYSC camp must sign in the 'book of life' before leaving camp, failure to do so, you service year will be without form or void.

11. *Double up:*- This is a military slang. In Nysc camp, Soldiers use it when they want to tell corpers to run faster.

12. *Light out hour*:- This is a time at night when all lights must be switched off. At this time, corps member are expected to sleep.

13. *Otondo*:- It means lazy. Soldiers use it when refering to corps members whom they think are lazy, and need more training.

14. *Mami market:*- This is a camp market which is located inside the Nysc camp.

15. *PPA:*- Place of Primary Assignments. This is a place where corps members are posted to serve after the 21-day camp training.

16. *CDS:*- Community Development Service. Just as the name implies. Corps Members are expected to contribute in developing the community where they are posted to.

TIP 1
The first suggestion is to ensure that you send your NIN to 55019, and not your name.
Until this year, candidates used to send their Names to 55019. However, this has changed this year has JAMB has made NIN use compulsory.

TIP 2
Ensure that the NIN is correct and that you are not sending your tracking ID number instead of NIN.

TIP 3
Ensure you have sufficient airtime on your line. To get your JAMB profile, you need to have at least One Hundred and Fifty Naira (N150) on your SIM card. Receiving JAMB profile code is not free.
So, if you don’t have airtime, make sure you recharge your line and try again.

TIP 4
Ensure your SIM card can send an SMS. The issue with some SIM cards is that they cannot even send SMS (not no 55019 only but a general issue).

Another tip is to try to send an SMS to a known line and see if they received the message. If they did not, then the problem is with your line.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has postponed the 2021 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The exam, earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, 30th April has been rescheduled to hold on *Thursday, 20th May.*

Fabian Benjamin, Head, Public Affairs in a statement said the change of date was due to ongoing adjustments in operational processes.

He explained this would not affect the Mock Examination and other schedules, including the date for the UTME fixed for *5th to 19th June 2021.*

The spokesman informed all stakeholders that the 2021 UTME/DE registration exercise is still ongoing and will end on *15th May 2021.*

The board, however, said it was concerned that some candidates, in trying to generate their profiles, were sending their details wrongly to 55019.

“The right process is to send the word “NIN” allow one space in between, then insert the eleven digits NIN number to 55019 e.g. NIN 00000000000.

“Any other process is wrong and would not generate the profile code for the candidate. It is also necessary for the candidate to know that only the SIM that is linked to his/her NIN can be used to send the NIN to 55019”, the statement added.

This to inform all 2021 jamb aspirants that they can now generate their profile code. The network facility has been successfully activated back.

Send *NIN (National Identity Number)* as a text/SMS to 55019.
Example: *NIN 00123456789* to 55019

Note: There must be a *space* between the word *"NIN"* and the *"11 digits NIN number"*.

The board noted that candidates must make use of accessible SIM cards which have never been used for UTME/DE registration.

It's cool to presenting a fake medical report but it depends on the write-up and how good you could be during the defense because you must defend it whether fake or real.

NOTE: Your medical report must come from a government hospital in the state you are redeploying to.

NOTE: There are 3 reasons for one to redeploy of which you will have to choose._
