Education / WAEC Returns May-june Timetable, Fixes WASSCE May 16 by scholarshipbaze: 11:32am On May 11
The West African Examinations Council, Nigeria, has said the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Candidates, 2022, will take place between May 16 and June 23 2022 in Nigeria.

Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, the Head of Nigeria Office, WAEC, Patrick Areghan, said the exam would take a period of six weeks, adding that the revert to the May/June period for the conduct of the examination should be celebrated.

“Gentlemen of the Media, I am delighted to inform you that the conduct of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates, 2022 will take place between May 16 and June 23 2022 in Nigeria, spanning a period of six (06) weeks.

“They revert to the May/June period for the conduct of the examination should be celebrated. The significance of this is that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the various member States, save Ghana, have now again found a common ground in respect of their academic calendars.

“This shows a massive recovery from the devastating effects, disruptions, and confusion caused by the pandemic. We must give kudos to the Honourable Minister of Education and his Ministry for this wonderful feat.”

He explained that the final International Timetable for the conduct of the examination had been sent to all schools for their proper and necessary guidance.

Areghan also said a total of 1,607,975 candidates from 20,221 schools had registered for the examination.

He added that “Even though NIN was made a component of the registration process, it was not a compulsory requirement in order not to disqualify many candidates. Even after the registration exercise, candidates were, and are still being, allowed to submit their NIN for upload. I, therefore, want to make it categorically clear that no candidate was denied registration as a result of non-submission of NIN.

“Gentlemen of the media, we are set for the conduct of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022 in Nigeria. We are working hand-in-hand with the Federal Ministry of Education, the various State Ministries of Education, the Nigeria Police Force, other security agencies and other stakeholders, to deliver, as usual, a credible examination to the Nigerian Child and the general public.”

Areghan also warned operators of rogue websites to desist from their heinous acts.

“We also want to sound a note of warning to all operators of rouge-websites that WAEC will not condone their heinous acts during the conduct of this examination.

“Parents are hereby warned to desist from patronizing these evil-doers who are hell-bent on frustrating the efforts of WAEC. They should not patronize them as that would only lead to the destruction of their children’s destiny.

Meanwhile, we shall, as usual, work hand-in-hand with the Nigeria Police to bring perpetrators to book. There will be no hiding place for them. Perpetrators will surely face the full wrath of the law.”

Education / JAMB Discloses Why Results Of 2022 UTME Are Yet To Be Released by scholarshipbaze: 11:18am On May 11
The JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede has stated that the board is yet to release the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination because due to some internal appraisals. He mentioned that JAMB wouldn’t want to release results because it had asked people to submit reports, particularly of malpractices.

He made this known during an interview with newsmen in Abuja during a meeting of the National Youth Service Corps management and with Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria.

According to him, the board has no reason not to release the results but at the same time, the board is doing some internal appraisal to avoid a situation whereby some results are withdrawn after releasing them. So the board has to go through the report of possible malpractices before releasing the results.

“And for the first day after the result was ready, we now scrutinized and we saw that about 40 percent of the report were not in. So, why release 60 percent and create confusion? We have insisted that this year, we will not release the results until we have all the reports of examination malpractices.

“So, the issue of releasing results and now coming, they will be very few rather than the large number that we had. The results are ready but we believe we need to have all the reports; we have about 70 percent of reports now updated but we want 100 percent.

“The result will be out; for instance, I was told that the exam on Saturday is completed now. The results are in; when I get to the office today I will append my signature and it will go out.”

Cryptocurrency Airdrop

An airdrop is a distribution of a cryptocurrency token or coin, usually for free, to numerous wallet addresses. Airdrops are primarily implemented as a way of gaining attention and new followers, resulting in a larger user base and a wider disbursement of coins. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airdrop_(cryptocurrency)

Usually, we have projects launching, running events, and airdropping (sending) their tokens to participants of these "Airdrop Events".

We help by retweeting, joining, and participating in the Discord (really just depends on whatever tasks you are asked to do for that particular airdrop) and then you get rewarded with tokens in return, sometimes these tokens don't usually have much worth but along the way, people buy-in and the airdropped tokens rise in value.

Say for example there's a new project on Solana and then they ask you to retweet and fill a google form with your address and Twitter account, then the next day they send your airdrop and it's worth 5 dollars but then there's some hype about the drop so the value rises and your drop is now more.

we post airdrops every day on these link categories. https://myscholarshipbaze.com/category/crypto-airdrops/

just click on the link you will see a list of airdrops we have done already, allow notification to get notified of future drops. I have personally made 22k$ from Airdrops alone. good luck

Education / Fully Funded Nursing Undergraduate Scholarship 2022 by scholarshipbaze: 9:06am On Mar 10
In the 21st Century, nursing is the glue that holds a patient’s health care journey together. Throughout the patient’s experience, and wherever there is someone in need of care, nurses work tirelessly to identify and protect the needs of the individual.

Nursing can be described as both an art and a science; a heart and a mind. Also, at its heart lies a fundamental respect for human dignity and an intuition for the needs of the patient. This is supported by the mind, in the form of rigorous core learning.

Due to the wide range of specialties and complex skills in the nursing profession, each nurse will have specific strengths, passions, and expertise.

What Does it Mean to Study Nursing?

To be a nurse, you must be compassionate, responsible, and meticulous. As a nurse, you must be willing to take control of stressful situations and seek help when necessary.

Also, you need emotional stability to handle emergency situations and to engage with emotional and physical suffering, illness, and injury.

However, the profession has a unifying ethos: In assessing a patient, nurses do not just consider test results. Through critical thinking, nurses use their judgment to integrate objective data with the subjective experience of a patient’s biological, physical, and behavioral needs.

This ensures that every patient, in any hospital or healthcare center, receives the best possible care regardless of who they are, or where they may be.

The United States is one of the prime destinations for students who are looking to benefit from a top-notch and widely recognized international education.

These merit awards are granted for achievement, not financial need. With the exception of the Fuld Fellowship in Patient Care Quality and Safety, there is no separate application to apply for a scholarship.

Each student is considered upon applying for admission. Scholarships range from $7,500 to full tuition and are awarded to students who are admitted and enrolling full-time in an MSN or DNP program.

Students who are awarded a scholarship must be enrolled full-time and remain a student in good standing to receive the scholarship.

Culture / Facts About Abua (odual) Ethnic Group by scholarshipbaze: 10:09am On Mar 09

The Ekpeye, a subgroup of the Igbo ethnic group, is the dominant tribe in the Abua Odual LGA, which was established on October 1, 1991.

The Christmas cultural and Art festival, held annually in Abua Odual, honors the rich cultural legacy of the different municipalities that make up the Abua Odual LGA.

Fishing and subsistence farming is popular in Abua Odual, but crude oil exploration in the area and neighboring regions contributes the most to the economy.

Culture / Facts About Annnang Ethnic Group by scholarshipbaze: 9:50am On Mar 09
The Anaang (sometimes called Annang) is a Southern Nigerian ethnic group whose land is predominantly within 8 of the current 31 local government districts in Akwa Ibom State: Abak, Essien Udim, Etim Ekpo, Ika, Ikot Ekpene, Obot Akara, Oruk Anam, Ukanafun, and Ugwunagbo, Obi Ngwa, and Ukwa East of Abi

The Annang people, who are related to both the Efiks and the Ibibios, are supposed to have migrated to Ghana to live among the Twi, where the name Anaang means "fourth son."

They then traveled eastward from Ghana into what is now Cameroon. They split up when they reached Cameroon's highlands, but eventually reunited in the same territory in modern-day Akwa Ibom.

Because the Anaang area is not industrialized, the residents must rely on farming, trading, local crafts, and civil services to exist.

The males are in charge of clearing the farm, while the women are in charge of planting and caring for the crops. The single exception is yam-care, which is thought to be a male-only task.

Education / How Education Causes Unemployment In Nigeria by scholarshipbaze: 10:40am On Feb 05
Nigerian educational system inflates the unemployment rate among the Nigerian youth.
The system employed by Nigerians is Certificate-Based System (CBS), that is to say, they focus more on Certificate for employment than intelligence. But, despite, Nigerians are subconsciously falling into some pit which is avoidable.

This article discusses how education causes unemployment in Nigeria.
Nigerian Schools’ name sometimes turns many graduates into the enemy of employment. Some certificates are not worthy or strong enough to justle and compete with their counterpart in the labor market and it thereby made many unemployed.

There are many Nigerian School owned by the Federal or State government which was established on certain goals, for instance, Agriculture, Technology, and Transportation. These Schools are supposed to base on their established goals and produce students who can withstand the race beyond the school gate. And thereby reducing the unemployment rate of the nation. But, no, the case is reversed, due to the greediness of some of the people in the control of the system.

Imagine a job seeker, who came for employment having his Diploma in Accountancy from a College of Agriculture. However, his counterparts had theirs from a conventional college. Even, before he opens his buccal cavity, his papers have disqualified him. Similarly, a Medical Doctor who had his MB; BS Diploma from the University of Technology, contrary to his counterparts that got theirs from Medical Colleges. No matter how smart he is, his school’s name has worked against him.

Why should Colleges of Agriculture offer courses beyond Agricultural related courses? Why should the University of Technology offer Clinical and Management Courses? As a result, they are producing graduates who will inflate the unemployment rate in Nigeria. These Universities should focus on their reasons for the establishment. In this regard, they will produce students of high quality who can be able to compete with their counterparts and thereby reduce the unemployment rate of the nation.

In conclusion, research had it that student often falls for the failed educational system because of the competition in admission. But the saying "he who laughs last, laughs best" is still working. The student shouldn’t rush for admission otherwise he will end up in the trash of a school.  One’s future in the labor market has begun once one had applied for the entrance exam of one’s desired school.
