In a bid to address the issue of lack of research interest amongst students and stimulate interest in science from primary level, Home Edutainment Network which employs all forms of interactive medium on making science fun in a bid to create our very own ‘Scientific Stars’ among the first of its kind in the country has developed the Science festival initiative in Nigeria to hold at the Faculty of Science Premises, University of Lagos to set a Guinness World Record for the largest science practical training ever held.
The event which is in honor of Professor Oluwole B. Familoni – Dean, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos (2008 - 2012) and endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Equipment Centre is scheduled to hold on November 27th – 29th 2013, attendance is free for pre-registered schools and will kick-off 9am. Special Guest of Honor for the event is Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, Minister of education.
