The most important thing is that each of them there are Nigerians and their actions are within the law of the country. Maybe if my complaint was to put more yoruba, the you lot will score points. May point has always been and will remain ...there are way to many tribes in 9ja for the selection to be 50% SE, and sprinkle of single digit % for other regions.

And you guys will intentionally skew the conversation to seem as though people are asking for more Yoruba people. Are igbo and yoruba the only tribes in the country?

Does an opinion against an obvious lopsidedness indicate the clamour for just 1 tribe?

You are free to choose what you want to share opinions on ...likewise I can choose mine. As long as I keep it civil. Which I always do.

Scondy, for many years you have been complaining about tribal distribution in big brother, an entertainment show owned by a private company that is not even owned by Nigerians. What if the selection is done by South Africans that don’t care about tribal distribution?

Do you know that the Multichoice franchise in Naija is owned by a Yoruba man? Doesn’t it tell you something? The company only cares about making money. Not tribal sentiments. Adewunmi Ogunsanya is busy cashing out from the same ‘unfair’ tribal distribution you complain about every year.

If you are not happy about how they select housemates, you have two options. Boycott the show or go and start your own reality show where you are free to select who you want to!

Whoever owns it is irrelevant ...I think I only mentioned this last season and then this season....

On the contrary, they do. As long as the show is Nigerian , it must be reflective of the true representation of our reality. It must be a selection of housemates from varied regions and it must be balanced. Its called diversity and inclusion. It is not just for entertainment. Even in the corporate sector, a standard organisation will not employ predominantly from one region.

It's not only a requirement here. It is a world standard. That's why miss World , miss universe, world Cup, Olympics all have a balanced representation of every continent.


How will it feel watching a world cup with only European countries ?

There are many embittered souls on this thread whose sole objectives are to: (1) promote the nonexistent superiority of their primitive tribe, (2) ensure the complete dominance of BBNaija by their fellow villagers from the land of primitive, forest-dwelling ancestors, and (3) gang up against anyone who refuses to buy into their ethnic agenda. They are the real tribal bigots who can't stand other people, but the moment you decide to repay them in kind, they start screaming victimization. Imagine Ebuka too, with all his supposed education and exposure, couldn't resist the urge to play the tribal card by calling out TJ and painting a big target on the poor guy's back in a savage manner!

I think the issue of the tribal imbalance of housemates year in year out is an issue that is staring us in the face but they don't want it discussed. When you point it out ....they say you are tribalistic...on the contrary....no one is positing for their own tribe...its just we have too many regions in the country for half of the housemates to always be from a certain region. Even All stars....the lopsidedness was too obvious .....

Big brother production team need be conscious of this and deploy mechanics to ensure a balance .
