What I find funny is that, it's always people who had never bought and hold btc for atleast a year that always say that.

But from my own experience, you'll make more profit holding btc than holding alt coin.

Here is the thing, altcoin swing too fast, so you'll likely jump out due to fear, stop loss etc b4 it 50x if it does.

That's why you'll find it difficult to meet anyone who had actually 50x on an altcoin even if u do, you'll find out they've lost alot already on other altcoin while trying to find the one that would 50x. In the end, when u do the maths, they actually didn't make much that's if not loss.

I have not actually seen anyone x20 self on a coin. Most people who did this na people wey for some reason or the other don’t have access to their accounts for a long period of time.
And the bolded no be lie.
Most alts don’t perform well at the same time .. sol go Dey pump , wif go dey dip. U go take profit on sol to dca on wif.. wif go continue dip and you lose your profits.

Even the owners of most of these coins don't believe in their recovery. Most of these coins rode on hype. When the hype dies down, the coins become stagnant and diminish in value. Look at APE, SAND, and all those Metaverse coins. The worst is that some founders will abandon the project and move on to another one.

Only BTC makes sense, but it is not volatile again for fast money.

Same thing happened to me with myro and bome, I kept convincing myself that they’ll come up and I’ll break even at least.
During $trump upsurge , I just decided to take the risk and sold both to ride the wave with $trump.
I was able to recover my lost on those two atleast.

Now myro dey 1150 ( from top 200)
Bome is now at no. 450 ( from top 100)

Some guide:
1. start developing interest in financial and stock market news about sectors in the economy, listed companies etc.
2. have it in your mind that the stocks market is a long term project; it is not a cash and carry thing. it is not kalokalo
3. start gradually, first with funds that you can afford to set aside for long period or you can afford to lose, (in the worst case scenario)
4. as you gather experience and build confidence, you can go for bigger funds and invest in your choice of stocks
5. the stocks market is dynamic; it does not move upward or downward or in a straight line for ever. It responds to news, events and performance of the company; hence you have to monitor your investment portfolio and news/events that may affect it.
6. as you build your portfolio, you may to decide which stocks you buy (and at what price) for speculative trading, and the ones you buy and hold as investment into the future (e.g. for receiving consistent dividends when you retirement etc.), or both
7. there are many more which I may not be able to say for now. Fortunately enough, there are expert gurus on this platform. Just follow their discussions regularly; you will learn and know more and better than myself.

If car prices continue to skyrocket, at some point, buying a car will no longer be a necessity for most Nigerians. Cars will become luxury items that only a few can afford. For car prices to keep skyrocketing like that, the naira would have to keep collapsing even further against the dollar. This is something we should pray against, not wish for. By God’s grace, may Nigeria never spiral into an economic mess like Zimbabwe or Somalia.

Maybe you missed my point, what I’m saying in essence is whoever needs a car and can afford to buy it now should get it. They shouldn’t because they want to invest and not buy the car because by the time their supposed investment yields , the car price would have tripled and they might not be able to afford it again.
Buying a land when a car is what’s needed and more important at the time doesn’t make sense.

Buying a car of 4m four years ago would have sounded like a bad financial decision, but if you still own that same car till now it’ll be considered a smart decision.
We live in Nigeria, one should flow with reality on ground.


Take for example, you needed a car but u bought a land instead for 4m four years, the land now worth 12m right( that’s even if the land is in a very viable area ) but the car price has also increased to 14m..
if you decide to sell the land and get the car because you have a pressing need for it now and you don’t have any means to source for money , you’ll barely be able to comfortably afford it.


I know this might not apply to other countries and their economies , I’m talking from Nigeria perspectives .


If you need something now and can afford it, buy it and invest whatever remains. Don’t put everything on investment hoping to cash out big later thinking you’ll be able to comfortably afford that ‘thing’.



We all know it’s not a good thing, but one should always adapt and adjust accordingly until dem do the right thing.

In Nigeria, you need to forget theory and take the reality serious . You need to operate in the present and adjust accordingly to situation on ground.
What you read in economy/finance textbook most times is not feasible in Nigeria of today. Example of such fallacy is believing that if you can’t buy something two times you shouldn’t buy it , I tell you, if you practice that now, you no go get one single property except you’re earning big!

If buying a car is what will help your hustle or make you happy , don’t even think twice , go for it and come back later for land.

If you didn’t buy it then when you had the money and when cost of living was low , your chances of buying it now is extremely low because you need to earn x4 and dont forget cost of living has tripled ..

Car is not even a good asset, it loses value over time. I once sold a car that was purchased for over 3 million naira for 1.3 million naira.

Car is advisable for married couples with children but not essential for single people. In times like these, car provides liability, I spend a lot on fuel and maintenance.

In Nigeria, car is an asset, a car sold 5m two years ago is now close to 20m.
Even lands ( except the ones bought in the main city ) don’t increase in value like that.

Also a single person needs a car depends on his type of husle!. In Nigeria of today, car is a necessity’!

I don’t know about the coin, but for now I don’t think it’s advisable buying any alts now..
provided you have your USDT on ground and you stay updated, u won’t miss out the uptrend , you’ll know when to jump in. Right now, just hodl, if atall you want to buy , see wetin bțc one do first.
If it’s a must for you to sha buy alts now, buy solana and no even think am twice before u take profit.

Though trade volume on there is low compared to Bybit but you’ll make more money on their than Bybit danudanu As a P2P TRADER..
