Oga. Try and travel out. When you do- you will discover that poor and middle class people are permitted to enter stores where a handbag sells for $20,000. Or a shoe sells for Β£5,000 Just try and travel out so that you will stop supporting nonsense nedekid: |

See, some products are flown into the country daily and supplied to high end exclusive supermarkets, restaurants, personal orders. Do you know, cheese, ice cream, salad, salmon, ham, bacon, already prepared meals from high end restaurants in eg France, pizza made to order from Italy delivered to people here in naija? This bread could have baked in France in the morning then flown to naija and on the shelf that evening. I know all this because I have been approached few years ago by some Lebanese to arrange logistics for such cargo. I have even delivered some to some exclusive white only estate somewhere at eleko. Na such supermarkets, when they make it private, Nigerians will come out to shout foreigners are stopping them from entering. When you enter and see what you cannot afford nko? Na to de take picture come de post online. 1 Like |

GloriousGbola:pizza is actually a poor man's food. That is something we celebrate as Nigerians. I did a cause on health inequalities one time in uk. Poor people are the obesed with high propensity to cardiovascular diseases due to eating low quality foods like pizza, fries and the like. I was shocked. This is the food for the rich in Nigeria. And then again, the rich suffer from those diseases more in Nigeria. Seems like an average poorman in Nigeria eat better than the rich. Then again, you hardly see the middle class in uk placing order for pizza. Its mainly immigrants stuff and the poor. The middle class balances their meals. In usa, it is a different ball game. India is like Nigeria too. 2 Likes |

GloriousGbola:Domino's is worse. They'll keep adding unnecessary ingredients to it until you can't even point it what it takes like anymore. If I'm hungry, I prefer eating real food. All these pizza, shawarma, fries...etc, are what most ladies prefer to real food. That's what's giving them protruding stomach. |

Nazgul: The other day I took my son to eat dodo pizza. They are another pizza franchise. I pointed out to him that there is clearly a difference between their pizza and domino's. He had already noted it. Domino's has a much drier crust. I am saying this because I would say domino's are the entry level mass market pizza. |

Konquest: Lol, I'm serious. You mentioned plantain. Funny enough, I am not a huge fan of fried plantain. The taste wears me out. I prefer unripe plantain actually (boiled plain or plantain pottage, fried unripe). I like cake but eat in moderation. I don't have a sweet tooth. Except if you classify Cheeseballs and Caprisun there but it isn't that sweet though. I LOVE WHEAT BREAD. See? I'm not sweet tooth. 4 Likes |

Sulele04: Lol I nor just like pizza, Shawarma and burger. Nah. I cook spaghetti quite alright for my father (I dont even taste it) and he loves it. I hated spaghetti as a child. The first time my nanny prepared it, the spag was soggy and plain. Since then, it gives me PTSD. I tried tasting it in my adulthood, but I couldn't eat it. Hahahaha. People wonder why I hate amala. I'm not just a fan to be honest. Strangely, I like Golden morn smell but I don't eat it. |
Food / Re: One Food You Cannot Understand Why People Enjoy It. by Sulele04(m): 7:33pm On May 02 |
folake4u:pizza & Sharwarma lmao you definitely haven't had good ones that's why. Burger ?, have you tasted Chicked burger lmao. Spaghetti too though, spag with better stew or even jollof one I feel like this too a Cooking skill issue. The rest though I see it, Ewedu is genuinely tragic even for a Yoruba boy like me especially with Amala most overrated dish ever. I have hated Golden morn since childhood the smell used to irritate me. |
