There's a reason why a top Ligue 1 club like Monaco bought George...he has played in two champions league tournaments so far at just 18 (one with Antwerp when he was 17) where he
scored against Barcelona and now again. The ceiling of such player is already way higher than you can imagine. And your question as to why George Ilenikhena hasn't scored yet in Ligue 1 is pretty disingenuous.. You can't just expect a 18 yr old kid to be a sure starter yet in his debut season at a new club (except you're a kid prodigy like Lamine Yamal), you can see how Monaco are easing him in slowly, and the fans highly rate him as well.

Iheanacho was good maybe 5 years ago, until he was relegated to a third leg striker behind old man Vardy and Patson Daka of all players...Sevilla only got him as gamble for free cause he was on no contract fee, now we've seen how badly he has regressed...he only makes sub appearances for Sevilla with no single goal or assists.

I'm a fan of Iheanacho , Awoniyi etc but truth is these guys are too injury prone and inconsistent, unfortunately for them football just like life waits for nobody.
who past exploits help? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This iheanacho wey make me never miss any Sevilla match this season so far no deserve a spot in super eagles unless he starts performing

Maja wey dey Championship. Wetin em do when he was at Ligue 1?

Iheanacho is not finished. If he is, a top team like Sevilla no go buy am. Do you think you know more than their scouts?

Asaba 2024: Ex-Olympic champion adopts 8-year-old Nasarawa wrestling sensation

From Abel Leonard, Lafia

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports, President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, and former Olympic Champion, Hon Daniel Igali, has pledged to sponsor the training of Juan Emmanuel, an 8-year-old wrestling prodigy from Nasarawa State.

Speaking during a briefing with sports writers on Wednesday at the ongoing 8th National Under-15 Youth Games in Asaba, Igali shared his admiration for Juan’s determination and enthusiasm. Despite competing in the 36kg weight category, she naturally belongs to the 32kg category, a testament to her resilience.

Igali, a former Olympic champion, emphasised the importance of nurturing young talent, pointing out that Juan’s age is ideal for proper grooming. As part of his commitment to her development, he expressed his intention to support her training journey.

After serving as President of the Wrestling Federation for 12 years, Igali announced he would not seek re-election. Reflecting on his tenure, he revealed that the federation had not received any government funding during this period. Instead, it relied on his personal contributions and support from board members to sustain the athletes’ training and participation in competitions.

In his assessment of Nigeria’s sports development, Igali identified several challenges. Key among them was the lack of financial support from the Federal Ministry of Sports, which only provides funding for competitions but not for long-term athlete development.

He noted that this has had a direct impact on the performance of athletes, who often suffer from insufficient preparation due to inadequate training programmes.

“Nigeria is falling behind in sports because there is no investment in long-term training. We don’t have enough coaches for Cadet, Under-17, and Under-20 athletes, which affects their preparation for international competitions,” Igali remarked.

He also pointed out the lack of international referees within the Wrestling Federation, attributing this to budget constraints and limited training opportunities.

As a way forward, Igali called for a more structured approach to sports development in Nigeria. He cited examples from China and Russia, where governments play a key role in facilitating corporate sponsorship for athletes and sporting bodies.

He stressed the need for a comprehensive sports policy that focusses on adequate funding and investment in grassroots programmes to produce world-class athletes.

“The time has come for Nigeria to adopt a strategic sports development policy that goes beyond funding competitions. We need to invest in our young talents from the grassroots and encourage corporate sponsorships,” Igali urged.

Crime / 25 Years Old Tyrese Devon Haspil Sentenced To 40 Years In Prison For The Murder by Featuredgist: 4:56pm On Sep 13
25 years old Tyrese Devon Haspil sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of Gokada boss
A 25-year-old American man, Tyrese Devon Haspil, the personal assistant turned convicted killer has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the brutal murder of his former boss, Fahim Saleh, the founder of Nigerian ride-hailing company Gokada.
The relationship between Saleh and Haspil started in 2018 when Saleh hired the young coding prodigy as his personal assistant. Haspil was entrusted with managing the finances of Adventure Capital. However, it soon became apparent that Haspil was abusing this trust. Between December 2018 and May 2019, Haspil allegedly embezzled over USD 98 K, a figure later revealed to be just a fraction of the total stolen amount.

Emails exchanged between Saleh and Haspil painted a picture of growing suspicion. Saleh confronted Haspil in January 2020 about the missing funds. Haspil admitted to the theft and proposed a repayment plan, which Saleh, in a gesture of leniency, agreed to. Saleh decided against involving the police, trusting Haspil to make amends.
Despite this agreement, Haspil’s criminal activities did not cease. He created a fake PayPal account under the pseudonym “Nethertek Switzerland,” continuing to siphon money from Saleh even as he appeared to be repaying him. This ongoing embezzlement highlighted the extent of Haspil’s betrayal.
Fearing that his broader scheme, which totalled around USD 400 K, would be uncovered, Haspil allegedly plotted to murder Saleh to prevent him from testifying. Prosecutors described the killing as a “meticulously researched and executed” act.
On the morning of July 13, 2020, Haspil entered Saleh’s apartment building in a black suit and mask. He followed Saleh into the elevator, which opened directly into his apartment, incapacitated him with a Taser, and then fatally stabbed him. The following day, Haspil returned to dismember the body, but was interrupted when he stepped out to get batteries for an electric saw he was using for the egregious act, during which Saleh’s cousin

Gaming / What Are Some Effective Math Games For Learning Multiplication Tables? by daisytodd7: 3:28pm On Sep 05
One of the most effective math games for learning multiplication tables is "Multiplication Bingo," where players match multiplication problems with their correct answers on a bingo card. Another great option is "Times Table War," a card game where players flip cards and multiply the numbers, with the highest product winning the round. Digital games like "Math Blaster" or "prodigy" also provide engaging ways to practice multiplication while having fun. If you're looking to improve maths skills quickly , incorporating these games into daily practice can help reinforce the multiplication tables in an enjoyable and interactive manner.

Great artist and one of the greatest artists of all time.
He is my first and only mentor in fine arts so far.
He recognized me as an art prodigy when he taught us fine arts at the St. Gregory's College in South West Ikoyi on the Lagos Island in Nigeria.
I was proud to have his artworks as the special guest artist when I curated the first Art Against AIDS Exhibitions at the National Museum and National Theatre in 1993.

In the bank or in EY will you not do calculations?

You can't be taking risk of telling a Masscom graduate to put 17% on something and they will be looking at you like ode. You think it's a joke but most non stem people cannot do basic everyday calculations required in those jobs.

STEM course is a test of natural intelligence. It is proof that you can handle some concepts and calculations. Go and check all JAMB highest scores, they all end up in STEM. The only social science that intelligent students go on to do is Law or economics. So once you see STEM, LAW or Economics on their degree, you know a process of natural selection has already taken place to weed out the dumb ones from the smart ones and you can go ahead and interview the smart ones instead of wasting time..

You think its a joke but employers do discriminate on this basis and I take this very serious in my personal life. I have been fighting my niece for the last year. She is a prodigy but refusing to do Maths A Level. She is talking of Philosophy, Sociology A Levels, Biology and bla blah blah. I said Biology is good for Medicine but at your level of genius, you must include Maths to really rubber stamp your genius so employers can see it. Any Tom, Dick or Harry could score well in Philosophy by writing long essay, but science is where genius is proven.

This is her GCSE result below. 7 is equivalent to A, 8 is a A* and 9 is A**.

How will someone with this kind of result reduce themself to the level of an average Jane by taking sme sme courses that any Chinyere can do. You must show Maths A Level, and even if she goes on to do Medicine or Science in Uni, the Maths A Level will give her the foundation to be great in any STEM course she does.

Lmao.

A Yoruba education graduate who gets employed at EY or KPMG will take ICAN the same way an accounting graduate or Engineering graduate will and they will all pass once they are sound.

U can argue all u want but there are people who studied mass comm and other art related courses working in the big 4. In fact just go to linkedin right now and type “ Mass communication kpmg” ; u will see profile of people who studied mass comm and currently working in KPMG pop up.

If u are smart u are smart ; forget all these Okpata yarns about dexterity or no dexterity

Which one is dexterous? undecided

Is it not that they will first train them in those jobs ni? If u are an engineering graduate who gets employed in EY or First bank, u will have to undergo training like everyone else. All those talk about dexterous is just to massage ur STEM ego. The same training they will give a Yoruba education graduate is what they will give a mech engineering graduate who has been drafted into their graduate trainee program.

The crux of the matter is , most STEM degrees are useless in Nigeria because there are no much STEM jobs waiting for them in the labor market. so, I don't the need for continuous bashing of social sciences job. Maybe if u were talking about labour market in the UK, US and the west in general sha it will make sense.

An 11-year-old boy named Yan Hongsen from China is being hailed as a prodigy after teaching himself programming, physics, and chemistry to build a rocket with 600 lines of code. Hongsen, who has earned the nickname “Rocket Boy,” is a primary five student.

According to the South China Morning Post, Hongsen has been sharing his journey on Douyin, a Chinese social media platform. His fascination with rockets and astronomy began at the age of four after visiting a launch center and witnessing the Long March-2 liftoff.

Hongsen started learning programming in kindergarten and taught himself physics and chemistry through books, online videos, and forums with astronomy enthusiasts. Encouraged by his eagerness to learn, his parents converted their living room into a rocket research studio.

In August 2022, Hongsen began building his first homemade rocket. Although it crashed during its launch in June last year, he analyzed the debris to understand what went wrong. “The nitrocellulose didn’t explode as expected; the spring and lithium battery were also damaged. Maybe there is still an issue with the rocket’s body connection,” he told the South China Morning Post.

His father described the maiden launch as a success despite the crash, expressing excitement and pride in his son’s calm and determined demeanor. Currently, Hongsen is working on modifying his second rocket model. He has written over 600 lines of code for its flight control system and aspires to develop a genuine rocket for China in the future. Hongsen dreams of enrolling in one of China’s elite civilian defense institutes to further his passion for space exploration.

What
Mehn Nas had a better verse.

Eminem hasn't been on a track with the greatest!

Nas has been on tracks with Jay, buster, Rakim, pun, Raekwon, ghost face, prodigy, Ross, 50 cent, Jadakiss, AZ, lake, cormega, etc

Eminem has been on a track with 50 Cent numerous times, Jay, Busta and Jadakiss..
Most are probably intimidated to be on a track with him.

The only rapper in the industry no other rappers want to start a beef with.

The only rapper in the industry no other rappers want to rap batter with.

I beg to differ.. Like I said you are just his fan that loves him so much. You will naturally see him as the best in every tack he collaborated with fellow rappers..

I have yet to see any rapper that has a better verse than Eminem in a song.
