Your problem is the incompetence of the opposition and the stupidity of its followers who do not make them accountable for their strategic lapses.

2019: things were tough but APC won because PDP were focussed on hacking INEC server. Atiku at the time selected a VP candidate that did not contribute to his numbers. Every time the opposition make strategic blunders then blame INEC or the courts. I have said this many times that the problem with PDP and it’s splinter groups is they are not democrats, only won elections in the era of rigging. As soon as rigging became more difficult their fortunes plummeted. They are not master election strategists. Their default mode is rigging and bribing judges. Unfortunately things have moved on with electoral reforms and they have not adapted.

For so long as they continue to blame INEC and the judiciary for their failings and their supporters swallow the narrative they will have no cause to take stock and truly asses where they keep going wrong. It is the duty of PDP and LP supporters to tell your leaders to STFU and be strategic, close ranks like the APC, do whatever deal needs to be done to enter an election as one and win fairly. You their supporters need to tell them enough of this blaming INEC and the courts. Tell them do your homework!!

APC win elections because they understand the voters, they are strategic, pragmatic and leave nothing to chance. If a monkey is the one that can win an election APC will field a monkey even if the monkey stole the party chairman’s food. Elections are not about speaking English, they are not even about how good the candidate is. Elections are about where are the votes, what are the demographics of the voters, who can we field that those voters Will vote for. So when we tell you Obi for instance cannot be president we are telling you because the demographics don’t favour him. If he likes let him run for the next 30 years he will never win. Field someone else! We have told you, you won’t hear, when he loses again you will say rigging or corrupt judiciary.

Good governance and electability are 2 different things. Ask Awolowo, no matter how good your governance skills, no matter how good your governance skills, if you cannot win the election your abilities are merely a story for the gods. In hindsight Akintola was right, sometimes in politics you have to make “deals with the devil” to win the election to put your governance abilities to practice.

The first job of a politician is to win the election, every thing else is secondary. You cannot implement your “good” ideas in opposition. In the era of rigging it is about out rigging the others but in the current environment where it is difficult to rig it is about being strategic and understanding the voter demographics. PDP opposition and its offshoots have not yet understood this and have yet to migrate their mindset from the pure rigging era pre 2015 to the electoral reforms, data and demographics driven era.
