She called your family, friends, colleagues... you'll never be able to win back the trust you lost. Even if you do, it won't be at the same level.

One very big issue staring you in the face is the long distance relationship you're having with your lawfully wedded wife. Either quit the job and find one closer to home, or arrange for your wife to live with you in the new location permanently, or for as long as the job requires.

Newlywed couple, y'all need to be spending as much time together as possible.

If your wife was around, you wouldn't have fallen into that trap. Make the move and make arrangements to always be together with your wife, show her your actions and she'll see you're serious about avoiding future temptations.

It won't be easy, but it's a first step.

If you're going to step out on your wife, at least do it with someone decent. I'm not condoning adultery, but nigga, if you missed the red flags in this your new side piece, then juggling multiple women is not for you because they'll probably both connive to kill you. You're better off remaining faithful to the Mrs.

"You got high"... Lol. Bro, is this the example you want to set for your kids? I don't know what got you high but as you can see, it probably doesn't have good effects, so maybe you should FVCKING GET RID OF THAT? I dunno.

You'll need to do a lot of begging. And the people who could have helped you might already be disappointed, so you may have to do most of the shii on your own. If you want her back, be ready to crawl.

There'll probably be lots of gifts, long talks, missed calls, and spending involved

Oh, and if she decides to revenge by cheating on you (who knows maybe you missed that red flag in your wife too), then don't complain because you set the ball rolling yourself.

Look for a male figure in her life she respects (pastor or something) and get them to set a meeting where you both talk.

If you want more couple's therapy, hmu.

If, against all odds, you're able to fix this, then keep your pants zipped, keep constant communication with your wife regardless of distance (you should make time to have at least thirty minutes to an hour of flirty, dirty conversation with your wife every day if you're separated by distance. This should keep the sexual spark in your marriage going), take steps to rid your mindset of cheating, and set up time to go for therapy with her to rebuild that trust you just casually threw away.

I must thank you for this.
Thanks for the care and time.
Lessons abound in your response and I am grateful.

I will keep you updated.

*John 8:31-32, 51 NIV)*
_Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. Whoever keeps my word will never see death._

In the verse above, Jesus utters a profound statement that lies at the heart of faith. Discipleship isn't defined by mere belief. It's about actively "abiding" in Jesus' word. The Greek term used for "abide" carries the idea of dwelling or remaining. It speaks of a continuous state, a life oriented towards Christ's teachings. Similarly, the word "disciple" carries a deeper meaning than simply someone who agrees with a teacher. It describes a learner, someone who actively seeks to understand and embody the teachings of their master.

This concept is seen throughout the Gospels. In Luke 9:23, Jesus declares, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." Discipleship isn't a passive pursuit; it requires a commitment to self-denial, willingness to surrender our desires to follow God's will. It's a daily choice to embrace the teachings of Christ, even when they challenge our comfort zones.

The reward for such commitment is immense. Jesus promises that those who abide in His word will "know the truth, and will be set free." In a world overflowing with misinformation and uncertainty, God's word offers a foundation of truth. As we delve deeper into scripture, we gain a clearer understanding of God's character, His purpose for our lives, and the path towards authentic freedom. This freedom isn't simply the absence of limitations, but liberation from sin, fear, and the burdens that weigh us down. He also promised life. "Whoever keeps my word will never see death." Here, "death" is not the physical end of life, but spiritual separation from God.

The response of the Jews highlights the challenge of discipleship. They questioned Jesus' claim, implying that true followers of Abraham, the father of their faith, must have endured a long life. Discipleship, however, is not measured by age or experience. It's about a continuous commitment to learning and living according to Jesus' principles.

Now, how do we become true disciples? You dedicate time each day to immerse yourself in God's word. Start with small, manageable portions. Meditate on the verses that resonate with you. Develop a consistent prayer life. talk to God openly, expressing your gratitude, struggles, and desires. Surround yourself with other believers who can support and encourage you on your faith journey. Find a church where you can grow, learn, and serve alongside others. And as you learn, translate that knowledge into action. Strive to live a life that reflects Christ's teachings, allowing your faith to shape your decisions and actions.

Jesus' teachings focused on love, forgiveness, compassion, and service. We must strive to embody these values in our daily interactions. Look for opportunities to show kindness, offer help to those in need, and practice forgiveness. Share your faith. The Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:19-20, instructs us to "go and make disciples of all nations." Discipleship is an ongoing process of sharing our faith with others. This can be done through open conversations, acts of service, or simply living a life that reflects Christ's teachings.

Discipleship is a lifelong journey of learning, growing, and becoming more like Christ. It's a path paved with challenges, but also one brimming with purpose, joy, and the profound freedom that comes from knowing and following the truth.

*Prayer*
Thank You, Lord, for calling us to be Your disciples. Help us to be committed learners, ever seeking to understand Your word. Grant us the strength to live according to Your teachings, and courage to share Your message with the world.

*Declaration*
I live according to Christ’s teachings and my life reflects God's standards.

Religion / Understanding The Confusion Within Christianity by idhigbe(m): 8:14am
The concept of God is central to many religions and belief systems worldwide. It shapes individuals' understanding of the universe, their place in it, and their moral and ethical values. In exploring the concept of God, one is faced with a myriad of beliefs, each shaped by cultural, historical, and personal factors. At the core of these beliefs lies the fundamental question: What is the basic concept of God?

Identifying the Basic Concept of God:

The basic concept of God varies widely across religions. For monotheistic faiths like Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, God is seen as the ultimate creator and ruler of the universe. In contrast, polytheistic religions like Hinduism believe in multiple gods, each responsible for different aspects of life. Additionally, some belief systems, such as pantheism, view God as synonymous with the universe itself.

Though people tend to assume that the monotheistic faiths mentioned above worship the same God, there are some differences in the identities of these Gods. Let's see a very simple comparison.

Christianity:

Basic Concept: In Christianity, God is seen as the supreme being who created the universe and governs it with love and justice. God is also believed to have revealed Himself through Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the Son of God.
Similarities: Christianity shares with other monotheistic religions the belief in one God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving. There is also a focus on the moral and ethical teachings attributed to God.
Differences: The concept of the Trinity, which includes the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one God, sets Christianity apart from other monotheistic religions. Additionally, the belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity is unique to Christianity.

Islam:

Basic Concept: In Islam, God, known as Allah, is viewed as the creator and sustainer of the universe. Muslims believe in the absolute oneness of God and reject the concept of the Trinity.
Similarities: Islam shares with Christianity the belief in one God who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-merciful. Both religions emphasize the importance of following God's commandments and living a righteous life.
Differences: Islam rejects the divinity of Jesus and the concept of the Trinity, which are central to Christian beliefs. Additionally, Islam emphasizes the importance of submission to God's will, which is reflected in the term "Islam" itself, meaning submission.

Judaism:

Basic Concept: Judaism views God as the creator of the universe and the source of moral law. Jews believe in the covenant between God and the Jewish people, as revealed in the Torah.
Similarities: Like Christianity and Islam, Judaism is monotheistic, believing in one God who is all-powerful and all-knowing. There is also a focus on ethical monotheism, emphasizing the importance of ethical behavior.
Differences: Judaism does not accept Jesus as the Messiah or the Son of God, which sets it apart from Christianity. Additionally, Judaism has a different understanding of the nature of God's covenant with humanity compared to Islam and Christianity.
While Christianity, Islam, and Judaism share similarities in their basic concept of God as a supreme being who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving, there are differences in their understanding of the nature of God, the role of Jesus, and the concept of divine revelation. These differences have contributed to the distinct identities of these religions.

The truth of the matter is that though these three seem to share a common history, because each traced its root through Abraham to Adam, there is a difference in their belief and the characteristics of their Gods which will make one assume that these do not talk of nor worship the same entity as God. Let's compare these.

Yahweh in Hebrew Tradition:
Origin: The name Yahweh, often translated as "LORD" in English Bibles, is the personal name of God in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). The exact origin of the name is uncertain, but it is understood to be derived from the Hebrew verb "to be," indicating God's eternal and unchanging nature.
Similarity to Allah: Both Yahweh and Allah are monotheistic conceptions of God, emphasizing His oneness and uniqueness. They are seen as the creator and sustainer of the universe, and both are characterized by attributes such as mercy, justice, and omnipotence.
Allah in Islamic Tradition:
Origin: The name Allah is the Arabic word for God and is used by Muslims to refer to the one true God. It is believed to be derived from the Arabic root word "ilah," meaning deity or god.
Similarity to Yahweh: Like Yahweh, Allah is understood to be the creator and sustainer of the universe in Islam. Muslims also believe in the oneness and uniqueness of Allah, rejecting any notion of partners or associates with Him.

Their Place in Christianity:

Yahweh in Christianity: In Christianity, Yahweh is understood as the God of the Old Testament, who is seen as the same God worshiped by Christians. However, the Christian understanding of God is further developed through the revelation of Jesus Christ, who is seen as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity.

Allah in Christianity: While Christians do not use the name Allah to refer to God, they recognize the similarities between the God of the Old Testament called Yahweh and the God of Islam. Both religions worship the same God, even though their understandings and interpretations may differ.

Identity of God

We have two basic identities of the person of God. On one side is Yahweh of the Jews, who is also the God of the Old Testament Bible and the God of Islam. On the other side is the God and father of Jesus, who is the father of the God of the New Testament Christians. Let's take a look at the basic differences between these two entities.

The basic difference between the Father of Jesus and the God of the Old Testament lies in their perceived characteristics and the way they are portrayed in Scripture. Here are some key differences, along with scriptural references:

Nature and Character:
God of the Old Testament: Often portrayed as a God of justice, judgment, and holiness. He punishes sin and disobedience, and His wrath is emphasized in several passages (Exodus 34:6-7, Nahum 1:2-3).
Father of Jesus: Portrayed as a God of love, mercy, and compassion. Jesus emphasized the Father's love for humanity and His desire for a relationship with His children (John 3:16, Matthew 5:43-48).

Relationship with Humanity:
God of the Old Testament: Emphasizes obedience to His commandments and laws as the basis for the relationship with humanity (Exodus 20:1-17, Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
Father of Jesus: Emphasizes love and grace as the basis for the relationship with humanity. Jesus taught that the Father desires a personal, loving relationship with His children (John 14:23, Romans 5:cool.

Revelation and Understanding:
God of the Old Testament: Revealed primarily through the law and the prophets, with an emphasis on His holiness and justice.
Father of Jesus: Revealed through Jesus Christ, who is seen as the ultimate revelation of God's character (John 1:18, Hebrews 1:1-3).

Salvation and Redemption:
God of the Old Testament: Salvation is often portrayed in terms of deliverance from physical enemies and restoration to the land of Israel (Isaiah 45:21, Jeremiah 30:10-11).
Father of Jesus: Salvation is portrayed in terms of forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:19-20).

While both the Father of Jesus and the God of the Old Testament are understood as the same God, there is a perceived difference in emphasis and portrayal. The Father of Jesus is seen as emphasizing love, mercy, and grace, while the God of the Old Testament is often portrayed as emphasizing justice, judgment, and obedience. These differences are reflective of the progressive revelation of God's character throughout Scripture, culminating in the person of Jesus Christ.

The Confusion Within Christianity: A Critical Examination

Christianity, as a major world religion, has often been criticized for its perceived confusion and contradictions. Several factors contribute to this perception, including the way Christians understand and worship God, the relationship between the Old and New Testaments, and the diversity of beliefs within the religion.

Syncretism in Christian Worship:
Christianity claims to be a monotheistic religion, worshiping one God. However, critics argue that the Christian concept of God is syncretic, drawing characteristics from various religious traditions.
For example, the Christian God is often described as loving and merciful (similar to concepts in other religions), yet also just and wrathful (as seen in the Old Testament).

Changing Character of God:
Critics also point to the perceived ability of Christians to change the character of their God based on their own desires or wishes.
This is seen in how different Christian denominations interpret and emphasize different aspects of God's character, leading to varying beliefs about topics such as salvation, morality, and the afterlife.

Confusion between Old and New Testament Gods:
Another source of confusion within Christianity is the perceived conflation of the characters of the God of the Old Testament with the God of the New Testament.
Critics argue that Christians struggle to find a name for their God, leading them to adopt names from other religions (e.g., Yahweh from Judaism), which can lead to a misunderstanding of the distinct characteristics of these deities.

Lack of Cohesion:
Unlike some other religions that have a more centralized authority or set of beliefs, Christianity is characterized by a wide range of beliefs and practices.
This lack of cohesion can lead to confusion among both adherents and outsiders, as different Christian groups may have vastly different interpretations of key theological concepts.

Human Creation of God:
Finally, critics argue that Christianity, like many religions, is a product of human invention rather than divine revelation.
They point to the historical development of Christian theology and the adoption of pagan rituals and beliefs as evidence that Christianity is a human construct rather than a divine truth.

Conclusion
While Christianity has been a source of comfort and guidance for billions of people worldwide, it is not without its complexities and contradictions. The perceived confusion within Christianity highlights the challenges of interpreting and understanding a religion that has evolved over millennia and continues to adapt to changing cultural and societal norms.

Realistically? There’s only two kinds of Christian, It doesn’t matter what kind (denomination) of Christian you are; there are still only two types: one is the member of a Christian religion who worships a polytheistic God or God of the old testament, and the other is someone who is actively living like Jesus and worships the God and father of Jesus.

We are not talking salvation here, because we cannot say if salvation can be affected by these, but we do know that Jesus said he that will come to the father must come through him, and anyone not following the God of Jesus apparently did not go through Jesus because you cannot follow Jesus and arrive at Yahweh or Allah. Not the name literally, but the characteristics.

A person is identified by his characteristics, so when you worship or pray to a God who destroys lives or takes revenge and brings misfortune to others because they are not in your good book, you need to ask yourself, what God am I worshipping? We are not talking of making or not making heaven, that is for God alone to decide, but really which God are you worshipping? This is a very long article, I had to shorten it for the sake of the audience, I hope to come up with a book someday on this subject. I will love reactions to this post.

Business / How Can E-commerce And Businesses Benefit From Ai And Blockchain by Algorithmic(m): 7:55am
Blockchain and Artificial intelligence or Ai as it is fondly called are now the latest buzz words in the world of technology, although the research and foundations that laid out these technologies started a very long time ago, with Artificial intelligence dating back to the 50’s and blockchain to the 90’s.

A lot of industry leaders have built, shipped solutions and continue to integrate these technologies into some use cases in the real world but when people think of blockchain what mostly comes to mind is cryptocurrency or digital cash, on the other hand when people talk about artificial intelligence what also comes to mind is just a text generating or talking bot that makes things easier like writing a CV or resume, generating love texts for romantic relationships or recipes for cooking afang soup.

While these two technologies wield great power and can really transform the world we live in, there are still undervalued to a great extent especially in Africa and this is no disregard to African developers breaking their back and working all day and most nights to build reliable solutions from these technologies but I like to think so.

To make this topic open threaded, How can E-commerce, Businesses, Education and other sectors benefit from these technologies especially in Africa since we make up a significant portion of the consumers of these technologies?

Childish talk from Reno
He just monitized his account, chasing clout and seeking attention up and down

Reno is cashing out, while dumb people are enabling him.
These are people that can't fuel their cars properly or even confidently buy a bag of rice due to high prices.
Politics has a way of turning people to z0mbie. Brewery that employed a lot of people. What has he's oga done to create jobs? Reno thinks Tinubu will openly associate with him? President Tinubu it's smart and won't bring a traitor and a snake close to himself.

Even when he went to Welcome Peter Obi to Oyo State during Election Campaign, Peter Obi just ignored him as if he didn't exist

He stretched out his hand to welcome Peter Obi but Peter Obi refused to Shake it

Politics / Re: Nigerian Workers Release Breakdown Of Proposed ₦‎615,000 Minimum Wage by olaideeeedris(m): 7:43am

I agree with you but I ask you a simple question. Do these guys look like people that are interested in strengthening the naira when they travel out just to discuss matters that could have been done here. They purchase jeeps at 160m each for themselves allocate to themselves all sorts of allowances and use the dollars to bribe each other during elections and then expect workers to depend on them to strengthen the purchasing power of the naira. You are on a long tiin.

Labour know they will not get that 615k they are asking for but the 615k breakdown highlights the reality and it's a good place to negotiate and get a good minimum wage for the workers because these guys don't send you a civil servant and they also no send consequences of their frivolities. It doesn't matter to them so why should it matter to labour.

They will continue to spend as they like and make you a civil servant be expectant for better life till you retire. Hmmmm... true talk. I don't really expect anything good from them honestly

Romance / Re: My Wife Sleeps With My Boss by Babangidapikin: 7:34am
Number 1 do you talk romantically with your wife, do you have your moments or it is the usual talk of bring my food, children school fees , but no going out to eat and have your time.
Number 2 you can't say someone is cheating base on conversation without catching them red handed , people converse sometimes to live in fantasy land but the challenge here is the person is in the same town, assuming they were in different town or country, I would have said don't stress yourself, notwithstanding you need concrete evidence.
Number 3 Try remember when you first meet and up your game, campaign have to continue after election to avoid cross carpeting
Number 4 Brutal as it's go do DNA for your kids ... if your kids is yours don't stress yourself...A woman would always protect her kids first and all that makes them happy.
