PrayWills: When we tell people to avoid children of single mothers (both male and female) this is an example of why! They have no standards (family wise) to maintain. The mother cannot talk to her because she has no moral authority to or set an example. My advice to you is this: You already have children with her: you have nothing to gain by marrying g this woman and everything to lose. Treat this as a devine intervention. You have already made the mistake of having children with the child of a single mother, there is nothing you can do about that. You are probably thinking you can give them a stable home by marrying their mother, na lie. Your baby mama does not know what a stable home is and you cannot give what you don’t have and have never experienced. Be thankful she ended it because you are clearly not thinking straight!! Trust me you have nothing to gain from this marriage and everything to lose. The biggest decision a man will make in his life is who he chooses as his life partner, the second most important is who he has children with. You’ve made a mistake with no 2 don’t make a mistake with no1. The fact that you felt a need to say she was raised by a single mum means deep down you know the problem. Never ignore your own instincts. 1 Like |

Career / Afrofuturism: Why Creators Should Embrace The Future Of Ownership Community. by Despeaker: 11:51am |
The term "Afrofuturism" might raise an eyebrow. It's not your typical robots-and-rayguns science fiction. Afrofuturism is a movement brimming with intellectual depth and artistic brilliance. It reimagines the future through a powerful African diasporic lens. Imagine a world where Wakanda isn't just a fictional utopia, but a blueprint for a future rich with technological innovation and a deep respect for ancestral heritage. That's the essence of Afrofuturism – it's about reclaiming the narrative of technology and progress, ensuring it reflects the vibrant tapestry of African cultures and aspirations. This movement empowers creators, from artists and musicians to tech developers and entrepreneurs, to own their stories and build the future they envision. But how exactly does it work? Let's break it down. The Secret Weapon: Web3 Think of Afrofuturism as the rebellion against a boring, one-size-fits-all future. Now, enter Web3 – a set of game-changing technologies like blockchain and NFTs – which act as the rocket fuel for this Afrofuturist revolution. Here's where it gets lit: Web3 lets creators bypass the gatekeepers and exploitative models of the past. Imagine a musician connecting directly with fans, cutting out the middleman and keeping more of their hard-earned cash. Or a filmmaker raising funds for their project through a community-owned platform, with complete creative control. That's the power of Afrofuturism and Web3 working together – it's the future of ownership and creativity. Don't Let the Tech talk Scare You! We know, "blockchain" and "NFTs" might sound like something out of a sci-fi movie (wait, that's kinda fitting!). But fear not, knowledge is power! Here's the lowdown: DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) are basically online communities with a shared mission, working together to make something incredible happen. Think of it as a digital co-op fueled by passion and purpose. NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are like digital certificates of ownership for your creativity. It's like a fancy signature that proves you own your work, meaning you get a fairer share of the value you generate. The Future is Afrofuturist (and You Can Be a Part of It!) Afrofuturism isn't some distant utopia; it's a call to action. It's about using cutting-edge technology to build a future that's not only technologically advanced but also celebrates diversity and empowers creators. Want to dive deeper into this world and learn how to leverage Web3 to make the Afrofuturist vision a reality? P2E Inferno is on a mission to onboard 100 million people into this movement. They're a community dedicated to helping creators and solopreneurs navigate the exciting world of Web3, amplifying their experiences with a gamified approach. Here's where you can learn, build, and truly own your content: follow us on X @ p2Einferno for tips on how you play and earn in web3. You can also head to our YouTube channel @p2einferno for comprehensive video guides on getting started with blockchain technology, creating NFTs, and more. Spread the Word, Share the Future We believe that the future belongs to those who dare to imagine it. Share this article with your network and Join the P2E Inferno community to connect with like-minded Afrofuturists – together, let's build a future where Afrofuturism isn't just a dream, but a reality. Together, let's claim our digital frontier with p2einferno

Of course consultants will be paid regardless of whether or not the project goes ahead, it's not pro-bono work. Would there be corruption in the execution of the project, yes, would the project benefit people, yes. Thankfully naysayers are being ignored, especially the Obidient ones. |

I respect Israelis because they don't care what the outside world is saying. The kind of pain they inflict on their enemies no matter where they are, is terrible. The protests against Israel are as a result of the pain, many on this forum are in severe pain, not to talk of the people receiving the rewards for their actions on October 7. Israel will continue to exist and her enemies will continue to suffer in their hands. |

Romance / See What I Just Found Out About The Paternity Of My First Child After Six Years by Meektunz: 11:20am |
Last week Saturday was the day I would never forget in a hurry, it was a Saturday I nearly died. My wife met me in the room while i was relaxing and she said she has something to tell me, so I said okay she should go ahead and the next thing she said was please she is sorry for everything, that she is tired of keeping it for 6 years and that she is ready for the outcome of this. I replied by saying "you're keeping me in too much suspense, please talk". Then she said i'm not the father of our first child, that the father is back for him claiming responsibility. Though I've always had doubt about the child right from birth. She said the father denied being responsible for the pregnancy when she got pregnant that was why she forced it on me. She started apologizing that I should forgive her, that she was young and naive. I couldn't utter a word due to how i was feeling. She went down to our pastor's office and told him everything and that she wants to go back to her parent's house, then he asked her why and she said it's not as if marriage has been smooth and that I've sent her out of the house severally when we had issues. Etc. For goodness sake is that the issue on ground? From then till today I've not understood myself uptil today, I was admitted in the hospital for good three days, I was discharged yesterday evening. Till now I haven't said anything yet due to my health condition. She kept begging me everyday day, right from the hospital, uptil today. Guys, I wish death could just take me, this lady has shattered me. I wish you know what I passed through for that child. I remember when she was in labour for that child, i had to treck all around this city of Abuja from place to place begging people I know for little assistance so I could buy little things for the birth of the child, if I express what I passed through, Oh God... Let me stop here. Please guys what should I do? Right now I just want to get better and send her back to her parent's house. I'm tired of crying for almost 5 days now. |

I have been searching online for this so called CYBERCRIMES (PROHIBITION, PREVENTION, ETC) ACT that permits Ribabu to order CBN and the banks to start collecting cybersecurity levy. I was only able to find the 2015 act, but the circular from CBN made reference to the CYBERCRIMES (PROHIBITION, PREVENTION, ETC) ACT, 2024. I was not aware that a new cybercrime act was passed by the national assembly and assented by the president this year. When was the act passed? Here is the link to the 2015 act - https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.nfiu.gov.ng/images/Downloads/downloads/cybercrime.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwi589_-4f2FAxVIQ0EAHU-WDgwQFnoECAQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3YfiHSl8fhfMM1iMjwPwn9 In it I found nothing in reference to a cybersecurity levy, not to talk of it being paid to the office of the national security adviser. I am pleading with Tinubu's media people here to furnish us with the updated act so we can confirm things for ourselves. Nigeria is still a democracy and not a dictatorship, everything action of government must be backed by law. |

Kk4:The thread is littered with so much childish comments I almost wanted to exit till I saw yours. It indicate the low calibre of kids with no sense of decorum, hygiene and self-standard swarming Nairaland. Imagine one kiddo saying he doesn't know it's a wrong habit to squeeze paste from the middle. Tells a lot about today's generation. Hence I always say Africans just copied westernism in a warped form. They call me afinju whenni was a kid just so you know how intolerant of uncleanness I was to a chronic level, those who knows what afinju means would understand how afinju just can't stand the tiniest of dirt, not to take of filth. We don't get comfortable and can't proceed well with an activity unless we sweep that floor several times, clean that dirt of the table before I can touch the mouse. I remember when living in an area filled with red muddied sand that I always washed the white sole of my converse sneakers so much every time that folks I didn't know where noticing it and one day gave compliment that they have never seen me with a dirtied shoe, I naturally sweat a lot so I sometimes pull off as when the discomfort gets unbearable, one day a woman joked at me that I wouldn't have done that if my white boxer was dirty. Impying I was showing off. I gave her a cynical look that suggests she is not to be blamed na, she's so much used with males with dirty boxers. The only moment I can be found smeared with dirts and dusts is when the hustle or grind demands it like an oil-rig worker getting his hands soiled just to earn that mullah. Personally I will judge your hygieneness by my own standard. Privately, I can't tolerate ẹgbín and I don't need no Whiteman to tell me cleanliness is next to godliness. Ps All the guys needlessly attacking the females here are suffering from deep seated insecurity. Like WTF are you hypocrites concerning yourselves with their sexuality or matrimonial desire. Stay on the topic by sharing your view or JGTFO! |

Travel / Russian Army Vs Nigerian Army. Nairalander's Opinion by mushroomFarm: 10:46am |
Like I always say. This is not a USA vs Russia post. I do not like to meddle in the political frictions between these two super powers. I just love to talk about where I live (Russia) and some lovely experiences I have had. . So while we are always quick to take sides when it comes to issues of Russia and America, I want it to be Russia vs our dear Country Nigeria today. . Tomorrow 9th of May is victory day in Russia. We mark and commemorate the day brave Russian soldiers silenced the Nazis of Germany which ultimately led to the end of the second world war. . In preparation for this, there has been several military and para-military shows and programs within the cities of Russia even in Yakutsk(Coldest city in the world -63 degrees) where I live, bringing citizens and foreigners like me much closer to Russian soldiers and see live and direct what these 'super humans' looks like. . . I am disappointed! But it's not what you think . Let me share my experience with you. . Russian Armed forces vs Nigerian Armed forced . 1. Russian armed forces respect citizens and foreigners extremely! . So I was walking to the epidemiology center in the city to get a medical book needed to start my holiday medical practice. Some road sections were blocked because of military functions and police officers were helping drivers and pedestrians with alternative routes. Someone how I misunderstood a directive from one of the police officers and ended up finding myself in a lane with a vehicle facing me and a man dressed in ceremonial military attire with about three or four stars on his shoulders. (I am not familiar with Russian military ranking) . Imagine yourself standing in front of a Nigerian army's military general's car because you misunderstood a directive. While I was shocked standing there...he smiled, waved and said "Африканец! рад видеть вас здесь." Which sort of means African! I am glad to see you here. and everyone around him just smile. . Meanwhile I have never ever seen a Russian soldier holding a belt, a cane nor any form of torture equipment and they are very gentle with the citizens. In fact I have never seen a police office with an AK-47 here even though this weapon is being manufactured here in Russia. But Nigeria is a different and sad story! . 2. Russian Armed Forces has a high level of cooperation with the Russian police force. . We all in Nigeria know that the Nigeria armed forces enjoy beating and dehumanizing our police as much as they love doing it to civilians. Both forces clash every other week, throwing shameful punches every now and then. I observed that in Russia, all law enforcement responsibilities that has to do with civilians is handled by the police. Even when the armed forces are staging any program, the police are in charge of securing the location, keeping civilians safe and crowd control. . . 3. Russians love the Russian armed forces! . In Nigeria we curse and hurl insults on those uniformed Nigerian men on daily bases, no thanks to their bad reputation. Many Nigerians even love to mock the Nigerian armed forces about how useless they can be against terrorists and we all saw how no one has faith in our army when a military operation in Niger was being considered. . It is a different story in Russia! The people speak of their armed forces with love and pride. They love them, you will see people waiving the Russian flag and chanting victory slogans even trying to take pictures with them within the limits of what is allowed. . To be honest it got me wondering how these Russians built deadly combat machines and still managed to keep their human and loving side. . . I want to use this opportunity to let the administration of our military (Nigerian armed forces) understand that soldiers hitting and torturing civilians is not a normal thing at all! They should learn from countries like Russia how to be tough and 'reasonable' at the same time because, certainly while the Russian military personnel's might seem docile within the city, I think 99.999% of all of us on this forum will agree that our 'aggressive' guys are no match for them. . . I also realized that unlike the Nigerian army military structure where the ranking hierarchy of a thing has been manipulated into some sort of occult and a rigid system to fuel and pamper the arrogance of some unworthy superior thereby making it impossible for juniors to voice a dissenting opinion, Russian armed forces practice and enforce hierarchy too but there is deep and healthy relationship between people at the top of the ladder and the junior officers below. . You can observe for yourself on YouTube the reaction and interaction of junior military officers when our president (President Vladimir Putin) or senior military officers interacts with them. (For instance you might see President V. Putin discussing with some officers and you will see another group of young officers doing their own private discussions just behind him or close to him) . Then compare it to what we have in Nigeria. Not to talk of a recent scandal where a senior officer in Nigeria imprisoned, molested and abused a junior female officer. The case has somewhat been swept under the bed I think. . . In conclusion our government should do something about these abuses, restructure the armed forces, learn from countries like Russia, create rules and laws that will prevent civilian abuse by these guys and enforce these laws. . And as a Nigerian, make sure you do everything possible to visit any of these first world countries are least once in your life and experience the other side of life. . . #StayBlessed.
