EducationA 5-question Checklist Before You Buy More Shares (any Market) by SectorWatch(op): 11:31pm On Jun 03
Before you click buy—on NGX or anywhere—run this checklist honestly:

Thesis — Why do I want more of this, not just “it’s moving”?
Timeframe stack — Monthly OK? Weekly structure healthy? Daily giving a pullback, not a chase?
Index weather — Am I adding to a supportive or fragile market backdrop?
Liquidity — Can I exit half this position in a bad week without pain?
Size — If I’m wrong by 15%, does my portfolio survive?

If you fail two or more, the default action is watch, not buy.

Print this. Use it for 90 days. Most “mistakes” are skipped questions, not missed tips.
EducationWealth Building Is Not The Same As Trading by SectorWatch(op): 4:11pm On Jun 03
Trading optimises for short-term price moves. Wealth building optimises for owning more shares in good businesses over the years, with controlled timing so you do not destroy yourself during drawdowns.

EducationWhy Looking At Only The Daily Chart Misleads NGX Investors by SectorWatch(op):
Many NGX investors lose money not because they picked the “wrong” sector, but because they used one timeframe to decide everything.

Think in three layers:

Monthly (macro) — Is this name in a long-term environment where adding makes sense, or are you catching a falling knife? Monthly trend answers: “Should I even be accumulating here?”

Weekly (structure) — Is price expanding (healthy trend) or compressing (choppy, easy to get stopped out)? Weekly structure answers: “Is the trend strong enough to add, or should I wait?”

Daily (trigger) — Did we get a pullback into support on a completed daily bar—not a mid-day spike? Daily answers: “If I add, is today’s price disciplined or am I chasing?”

Common mistake: A stock looks “cheap” on the daily chart after a sharp drop, but the monthly bias is still down, and the weekly structure is broken. That is not a bargain—it is a trap.

Rule of thumb: Macro allows → structure confirms → daily gives entry. Skip a layer, and you are guessing.

(No stock names in this post—apply it to any name you already hold.)
