For one, Nairaland can ensure a moniker can only be followed if he accepts a request for such.

Secondly, noting an IP address notorious for disrupting your forum should be easy peasy.

Thirdly, create a more rigorous security format such as captcha would curtail such excesses.

It makes Nairaland an unserious forum when a single user can cause such disruption without punitive action.

The first and the third idea is good.

See this guy... He cannot prove that Akure was not a colony of Benin so u resort to insults.. that shows that u have accepted to have lost the argument

U called us backward, but the Europeans just praised our culture....

A lot of historians research our tradition daily

Since ur state is not backward, show me a complete European exposition abt ur state

All I see is tears in ur posts

I didn't insult you in all my comment.
Calling you inconsequential is not an insult but a fact.

And who cares if Europeans did exposition or not

Akure was under Benin, that was then.
Even America was under British before.

So, you guys should go and learn how to develop yourself and your state.
Stop living in past glory.

Only God knows why Edo people suddenly developed hatred for Yorubas. I know hundreds of Edolites who disassociate themselves from Yorubas and insult Yorubas on a daily basis as if they are better. A small tribe that is known for crime and prostitution has the audacity to insult Yorubas. You guys must be out of your senses, idiots!.
As for Lagos, though am not Yoruba, Lagos is Yoruba land and no stupid Benin Wizard can claim the city!

Their hatred for Yorubas can't move Yorubas at all. grin

Who Dem be?

Someone like me who has never entered Ondo won't know that there is Ondo town and Ondo state

Are u confused...
If akure was never under the Benin Empire, then why does the length of time stayed under the Empire matter?

U are talking trash... Akure was under the Empire.. thank God it was documented b4 revisionist like u come and change history

That's why you need to know what to type on cyber space.
Because people like us are indegines and know every part of the state.

Anyways, Deji Osupa was only Benin Deji in Akure 1834 - 1946

The Benin never seemed it fit to expand territories and ascertained there claims on lands that's why u see these places being dragged by other regions,be truthful if u heard of another empire as old as the Benin or any other detailed civilization history with artifacts of proof here in Nigeria except the uthman Dan fodio and the rest.

Anyways, learn how to differentiate between a state, a capital and towns.

That's why you guys said nah you named Lagos state Eko.
Yet it was Lagos island.

Now you claimed Ondo were under Benin, yet it was Owo, and maybe Akure

You claimed ekiti were under Benin, yet you didn't tell us the town you just grouped every ekitis together.

If someone says Ondo... One would think it's Ondo state... Prolly that's what he meant

See this clown Sha... I just showed u a historical Work that says that Akure was under Benin...

Google Deji osupa of akure and u'll understand better
Try dey research next time

Then learn how to separate it next time.
Both Ondo state and Ondo town was never under Benin.

And I told you Akure was never under Benin or it didn't stay long.
You said Deji Osupa of Akure.
I'm asking you, how many Deji were Benin people able to appoint during the time of Akure under Benin empire?

What are u saying ..So as at present, ibibios are more consequential than Edos?

Despite Edo having a rich heritage

Guy, learn how to separate them.
You wrote Edo instead of Benin.

There are many tribes in Edo state I'm only singling out benin people.

And I'm telling you that, I would choose ibiblo people over Benin people anytime.

Yes part of Ondo(akure,owo,ekiti)

Lol, this is why you guys needs to get to somewhere or know something before spilling it out.

We have Ondo town and Ondo state.
Yet the guy wrote Ondo.
Only part of Ondo - Owo was under Benin

Akure was never under Benin or probably if it was it didn't stay long under Benin.

You mentioned Ekiti.
You can't just group all ekitis just mention the town.
