Fellow Nairalanders, I have a somewhat similar case like that of Ugwem above me. I just got a 32 inch Samsung smart LED tv which when scanning for stations on digital/terrestrial mode will get over 800 satellite stations but none won't show. it will only be displaying no signal or scrambled channel. it will even show the program name or movie title being aired at that particular time only that it won't show or give audio.
So, to the gurus in the house, what do i do to be able to get all these channels. Do I need a dish for this Samsung smart tv or what?
Secondly, I have a strong SRT 4950 decoder which i got in 2014 and is still working but I want to know if there are more better and more stronger decoder out there in the market cos sometimes it is slow in showing channel when you change the station to another one, sometimes taking as much as a minute, or two or five minutes and at times, it won't even show and I am someone that likes watching movies, wrestling, documentaries and boxing although I don't so much like football. To all nairalanders in the house, mr Daniel has helped to disposed the laptop although at a lesser price and he had sent the money to me. He said the buyer didnt buy the charger with it, so the charger is still with him but i told him that if he didnt get to sell it on time, maybe i will have to collect it back since we have been on this issue for far too long, about five months or more and i have spent too much time, energy and much money in trying to resolved this issue.
Mr Daniel is not a scammer but i can tell u this, in no uncertain terms, that as a typical igbo man would do, they would use every known tricks and gimmicks both within and outside the books to sell their products. This leads me to my next point and observation. Anybody buying anything on nairaland especially electronics should endeavour to visit, inspect and test the product very well before making payment. I said this because my issue with mr Daniel is the third experience i will be having with people selling things on nairaland. Permit me to briefly explain.
CASE ONE: This January 2016, i sent 35k to one Lukman on this nairaland to help me buy two kids laptops. He helps people to buy virtually anything from dresses, to watches, electronics, etc. After 10 days which he gave me, i received two laptops that has been vandalized or should i say burgled? One of them has charger, the other didnt. one has charging cord, the other didnt. In short, all the accessories were not complete. The manual that follows these laptops come listed all the accessories that is in the pack but this guy says no, that that is how he receives them. When asked why he had to tear open the pack, he said he wanted to make sure the contents are complete and when i told him that now that its not complete nko, what is he going to do, he said nothing. Can u imagine that? I even send a mail to the manufacturing company and they told me its a lie that everything is complete. I had to take them like that and buy remaining accessories before my kids can start using it.
CASE TWO: I paid 55k for a used 2015 model samsung smart led tv on september 13 this year to one popular guy who sells tv on this same nairaland and when it was delivered to me in ibadan, i discovered it had a broken edges in which cellotape was used to cover it. Aside that, it has some white patches on the screen. immediately i told him, he initially dont want to answer me but when i made it clear that i will take it up with him, he sends another one, this time he called it 2016 model but on receiving it, he said it is 2013 model. I asked him why the discrepancy, he said it was a MIX UP on his part, that he made a mistake. He also begged me to be calm that when he get more stocks, he will either changed it for me or give me a bigger size and i would just add money. At the end, i had to take it like that since everyday u pursue this matter, u will always be spending money and i am tired by that time.
CASE THREE: My issue with mr Daniel is the third experience. In all these cases, i have learnt NEVER to buy anything online in Nigerian again. OR BUY BUT IT WILL BE PAY ON DELIVERY IF SATISFIED. All of them are not scammers but they will sell things to u which u may or may not be satisfied with. Some may return your money to u like mr Daniel just did, but others will definitely not return it.

@ op, i think this is not a good marketing strategy on your part. In ensuring a good bisiness deals, you should put up a complete information on each item most especially their prices. This is what attracts potential customers. Nobody would want to waste his time and phone credit calling you if they know they cant afford the price but if they see it and like it, they will cheerfully call to place orders for it. So pls, do the needful. Cheers.

@ aieromon, Acunnon called me this morning to inform me that the samsung tv he sent to me wasnt a 2016 but a 2013 model. He said it was a mistake on his part. As a result, i had a lengthy talk with him and he reassured me that he is still going to resolve it in my favour. Though, the tv is ok. It is a F series with lots of multiple connections such as 3 hdmi ports, 3 scart, etc. and so far so good, its working perfectly as i am enjoying it even though am yet to explore all its functions.
As for its pictures, i will soon upload it here.

Fellow Nairalanders, Acunnon has given me another samsung smart led tv as he had promised. This time, he sent me a neat 2016 model samsung 32 inch yesterday and so far so good, i think the tv will surpass my expectations cos i really like it.

Dear Nairalanders in the house, in as much as i would not want to join issues with those people calling for the head of Mr Daniel, i would like to say that the success or otherwise of any business transactions depends on one's approaches and circumstances.
In my case, I called him about 4 months ago about One of his white mini laptops. He gave me it's specifications as 8gb hard disk and that it is also upgradable to 16 or 32gb. Even though i said it is too small, he said i can always upgrade it. So, I believe him and i send my younger brother to get it for me since am based in Ibadan and my brother is in Lagos. Now, on getting it, I discovered that it was a 4gb hard disk and that it wasn't even upgradable. An engineer I showed it to, told me that the memory can not be removed or upgraded since it was attached to its panel.
When i called Mr Daniel, he apologized very well and said it was a mix up on his part and that i should wait for his stocks to arrive. This took about a month and a half. when they do arrived, my type wasn't among, so he told me to add money to get another one with better specification. Initially I agreed, but when I couldn't get the money, since am a salary earner and state government are yet to pay, I now told him to refund my money which he readily agreed to. I had to send the laptop back to him through my younger brother and he told me that he would pay me the money on Tuesday 4th of October.
Regarding his customers service, I think its the boys he has in shop that are not good. This is where Mr Daniel needs to work on. I haven't actually met him but I have been speaking with him throughout all these 4 months and so far, he seems to me like a gentleman and because of this, I would hold onto his words. This is the main reason I didn't shout or quarrel or write anything against him on his thread. Even, while talking to him on phone, am yet to see any trace of a scammer in him. In business transaction, there are times we need to exercise patience for issues to get resolved. Anyway the laptop in question is a first generation Asus mini laptop. I paid 14k for it, including the charger.
So, come Tuesday October 4, I believed Mr Daniel will prove those doubting Thomases wrong by refunding my money back.

The bus driver of the courier company just called me now telling me that one of their drivers is now in Ibadan and would be going back to Lagos tomorrow (monday) morning. So he said i should pack the tv back and give it to him to bring to Lagos to you. He had already sent this driver's number to me.
Now my question is this, since you said you have agreed to change the tv for me but you don't have that type now and that i should wait till you get it, and when i pressed you further on how long should i wait, you said you don't know.
I am hereby telling you to refund my 55k by Friday September 30th, if you don't have the same type of tv to give me. I can only give you one week. I can't leave my money outside and be having to be begging or asking when i will get what I have paid for. It's better my money stays with me and when i see what i like, I will pay.

@ Acunon, am still waiting for your adapter. when are you sending it?

To those Nairalanders who have followed this issue, Acunon discussed with me now and said he will get me another adapter to use for the tv, and if the White patches still remains, he will then change the tv for me to another one of the same specifications.
To this, I have agreed but I've also let him know that the screen problem has absolutely nothing to do with the power adapter. In any case, to all Acunon's e-defenders in the house, I pray you get this exact type of tv from Acunon when next you're buying a tv from him. Maybe, that will be the time you will appreciate the enormity of the situation at hand. He had asked me to snap the pix of the adapter and send it to him, so that he would be able to send another one and I've promised to send it as soon as I get home in the evening.

Why are you avoiding the obvious here? Are you changing the tv for me or not? Coz ever since I raised this issue, you have been somehow silent on it, all you said is that i should be looking for another adapter with one rating or so. Do you think am stupid, or i have the time to be looking for one non existing adapter. I told you i DON'T LIKE THE TV, YOU ARE NOT SAYING ANYTHING, I WILL CALL YOU, YOU WON'T PICK MY CALL. Give me another one or you pay me back my money. You have been warned.

@ Acunon, I have told you several times since i got the tv on Tuesday, I can accept the way the body looks like but i can't accept the way the screen is! Period! Or are you telling me now that since I have paid you, I am stuck with the tv? This tv is bad, I don't like it, give me another one of the same spec, even if it is black color, I don't care. Ha haa, is this what you told me. A lot of people have been saying so many things about you, which i don't want to believe, yet you are actually playing it out. Are you telling me am stupid for trusting you and sending money to you? Or maybe i should put our whatsapp conversation here and let people know the kind of people you are. Change this tv for me or I take this matter up with you, and believe me you wouldn't want that. If you love yourself, Change it to another one with a good screen or pay me back my money.

My complain on the tv isn't as much on the neatness of it but on two major issues which are : one, the broken edge with which a cellotape was used to bandage it and the entire four sides. secondly, I don't like the appearance of the screen when on standby and even when working and it is showing a dark scene. There are about 2 or 3 white patches of light always showing perpetually. To those defending him, I have had enough romance with television to know those that will last and those that won't. How i wish these were the set of tv he gave to you, I wonder what you will be saying. Anyway, let Acunon respond himself.

@ Acunon, I am still expecting your response here. I want you to tell me what you intend to do about my issue. Two years of following you on your thread, two years of trusting you, and even defending you here in Ibadan among my friends. My folks here who never supported my buying the tv from you in the first place have been laughing at me since i got the tv on Tuesday. It was as if they were prophets. Their main grouse is that electronics like this should only be bought when seen and inspected physically. Well, am still waiting for your response.

My reviews and Observations
On Monday September 12, 2016 I posted here that I just sent 55k to Acunon for a 32 inch Samsung smart Led tv with model no: UE32J4510A. This was after some months of deliberations after which he promised to give me a very clean white color Samsung tv.
He promise to deliver it the following day Tuesday morning which he did. To my greatest surprise, the tv works quite alright but it has a lot of defects which I don't just like. It has a broken edge which has been cellotaped. Not just that, the entire 4 sides of the tv is covered with this cellotape.
Furthermore, the screen has this two white patches on the bottom left hand side of the tv, it shows vividly when the tv is on standby and also shows when the tv is on.
All these, I took care to explain to him in detail but I find it hard to believe that Acunon was always waving my complaints aside. All he is saying is that so far the tv is working, I should not complain.
Now, Acunon knows that i cherish the neatness and appearance of electronics. I have told him on several occasions including this particular tv. I don't buy tv with broken sides or defective screen.
When asked how many months guarantee will he give me on the tv, he initially wanted to decline but after much pressure he agreed to just one month guarantee! Can you believe this. To me, it seems it wasn't Acunon that i was speaking with again the moment I sent the money to him. He promised to include all the follow come accessories with it but what i got was a 19.5 volt Sony laptop adapter while the tv uses just 19volt. I complain about this but he waved it aside saying it would still work or i should get another one myself. When pressed further, he said there was nowhere i would get the original follow come accessories especially the adapter. So, if he knew this, why lie to me all in a bid to sell. This was after promising me heaven and earth about the looks and the appearance of the tv.
Now, before sending money to him, he showed me one good looking tv which i so much like that i had to go and look for another 10k because at that time he said it's 55k last. So, two days later when i want to send the money, he said the tv has been sold but there's another one that is the same model. When i saw the pictures, I asked him why put nylon or cellotape around it, he said that's how it came with it and I thought it's the nylon used to wrap it.
I told him that if i see this tv physically, I won't even touch it with a long pole no matter how cheap it is going for!!!
Now, to all Nairalanders in the house, how do you judge his behavior. I have followed his thread for two years now and this is what he eventually gave me. Fine, he is not a thief, but I think he is full of tricks all in a bid to sell his goods. I've always liked him before but as from now on, I will be calling for his head until he do the right thing. He either change this TV for me to a good one or i come down to Lagos to confront him. I'm based in Ibadan and i won't mind incurring the expenses that goes with it. 55,000 naira no be beans o because everyday i look at the tv and how it looks, I feel so so sad. Yet, Mr Acunon is not bothered.

What is the battery duration when fully charged?

Dear Nairalanders in the house, I just did an online transfer of 55k to Acunon being payment for a 32 inch white color Samsung smart Led tv with model number UE32J4510 2015 model. Part of the deal is the inclusion of all the follow come accessories with the tv. l have been holding talks with him both on phone and also on whatsapp for some months now. our deal is by paying now, I will get it tomorrow morning in Ibadan where i reside. So, now I just can't wait to get hold of the tv.

@ op, since LCD tv are way cheaper than Led tv, i think I will prefer one. So, do you have 32 inch LCD tv? If yes, which brand do you have, their details and year of production. Will even prefer the ones with DVD at their back. Cheers. sekesi2009@yahoo.com

@ Stevostical, I think the novel you're referring to is most likely to be 'The Paw in the Bottle' also by James Hadley Chase. It's a very interesting thriller and am sure you won't want to put it down until you finish reading it. I've also read quite a few of his novels, at least they won't be less than fifty, if not more than that. I started reading them from early 90s, 1992 to be precise, when i was still working in Lagos, Oshodi. I'm still looking for more titles including those that I have read and forgotten. In fact, I recently downloaded some titles on the net few weeks ago. Although the titles there aren't many but they are still something.
