Remember the alleged nude pictures that were disseminated by bloggers and social media users of moyo Lawal which she actually posted on her instagram page to promote a make up brand? I guess you can. She apparently just posted again on her instagram now that she wasn’t nude and in her words, I was not Nude Ya all need to chill especially the hypocrites that I see in bikinis all the time ……..…. REGULAR DOSES OF CANNABIS; MARIJUANA INFLICT PERMANENT DAMAGE ON THE BRAIN’S REWARD SYSTEM THAT COULD MAKE YOUNG BRAINS DEPENDENT, A NEW STUDY HAS FOUND. The New research by Brigham Young University suggests there is still much we do not know about how different properties of the drug impact the brain. A study published today found THC, the psychoactive component of marijuana, triggered cellular-level changes in the reward center of teenage mice, which made them dependent on the drug. The study is the latest in a series of papers to warn that the drug could have a greater damage – particularly on young users – than we realize. Marijuana is the second-most common substance among patients in substance abuse programs in the United States, after alcohol. That statistic drove Jeffrey Edwards and colleagues to investigate how it could be addictive. They found that it may not be as addictive as drugs like cocaine, but it triggers notable changes in brains which fuel dependence. There are two primary components to the drug – tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which induces a ‘high’, and cannabidiol (CBD), which triggers a relaxing effect on the muscles. Like many other drugs, THC taps into the ventral tegmental area (VTA) of the brain, which is rich in dopamine neurons, triggering a rush of happiness. Using juvenile and adolescent mice, the team administered a week of daily THC injections. They found that after a week, the mice had issues with the recovery of their synapses onto VTA GABA cells. They saw no issues with just one injection alone. The authors said the results suggest that persistent consumption of THC may affect the function of these cells over time, making it harder to reach that high without higher levels of marijuana. ‘While the addictive nature of THC is debatable, alterations in the mesolimbic pathway following chronic THC exposure is particularly relevant for adolescents,’ the authors write. ‘Marijuana use and legalization is a current “hot button” issue. A 101-year-old paedophile who sexually abused a schoolgirl 40 years ago has been ordered to pay her £25,000 in compensation. But Douglas Hammersley, who will turn 102 this month, has been spared jail for molesting his young victim during the 1970s. The woman, now in her 40s, went to the police after Douglas’ family threw him a party to celebrate his 100th birthday last year and the event was reported in a local newspaper. She was praised for her bravery and courage during the sentencing hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday. Hammersley was given a two-year suspended prison sentence, placed on the sex offender register and ordered to pay £25,000 compensation. The record was set in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, as part of an annual event run by a local brothel. The man, who was not named by local Czech media, told reporters that he had been training hard for a period of months and was delighted to have broken the previous record, which stood at 55. “I’ve always been a bit of a sex addict, and when I learned that the brothel was having a world record attempt I knew I had to come and give it a go,” he said. “I take it really seriously and train for it just like an athlete would prepare for a marathon. In some ways, it’s actually much harder than a lot of professional sports.” The world record attempt began at midnight local time, with officials looking on as the man commenced intercourse with his first partner. “For the world record to count, every woman I slept with had to be different, so the venue had to hire a number of girls from other brothels.” By midday the man was ahead of world-record pace, having slept with 29 women. “I started to get a bit of a cramp around then but luckily we had a physiotherapist on hand to give me a massage which helped out,” he told journalists. As part of the conditions attached to the world record, no challenger is allowed to take any prescription medicine to enhance their erection, and the Singaporean man passed a test to reveal his system was clear of such medication. “Natural remedies are permitted, but I won’t disclose what supplements I take,” he said. In addition, for each individual session of intercourse to count, the participant must ejaculate more than 5ml of semen. The record officials were on hand to dutifully measure the amount of fluid ejaculated by the man at the end of each session. “It’s not the most sought-after job, but we find it rewarding in our own way,” said one of the judges involved. The previous record holder, an American porn actor, slept with 55 women within a single 24 hour period back in 1983 as a promotional stunt for a new film release. For decades, men around the world have tried – and failed – to break that mark. “I personally never thought the record would be broken,” said one judge. “It’s a true credit to this man’s determination and perseverance.” Just shortly before 11pm the man broke the record after he completed his 56th session of intercourse, and officials were impressed when he decided to add one more to the tally to finish with 57. Two men who were offered lifts by seven women in two separate incidents, were reportedly sexually assaulted (RAPE)by the women according to the Police in Zimbabwe who are already investigating the incident and who advised the public to be vigilant when they are picked by women in fear of being raped. It was gathered that the first victim was held up with a gun, forced into the bush, raped and then drugged, while the other was knocked out by a drink and raped while unconscious. The Herald reported that Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said one of the two recent victims, aged 37, was picked up in Harare on May 27 by a car containing one man and two women. A woman who came aboard at the same time, the policeman said, pointed what seemed to be a pistol at the man after the driver had taken the car on a detour. Chief Supt Nyathi said the woman force-marched the man into the bush, adding that: ‘One of the females forced the complainant to have sexual intercourse (raped) with him without his consent, while another female accused forced the complainant to drink an unknown liquid which left the complainant unconscious.’ The other man also boarded a car in Harare, this one containing five unknown people, before being offered a drink by a woman which knocked him unconscious. Chief Supt Nyathi said: ‘When the complainant gained consciousness he discovered that he had been abused.’ Last year police were on the lookout for four women alleged to have sexually abused a 29-year-old man after offering him a lift in the Zimbabwean capital. The former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu has filed an appeal at the Federal High Court, Kano demanding the refund of the $9.7m and £74,000 seized from him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and which the court that sat in Kano had ruled that it be forfeited to the Federal Government. In the appeal filed by his counsel, Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), Yakubu challenged the ruling of the Federal High Court presided over by Justice Zainab B. Abubakar, saying the court lacked the territorial jurisdiction to try the case since the crime was allegedly committed in Abuja, which is outside the territorial jurisdiction of the Kano court. In a motion on notice with suit number FHC/ICN/CS/24/2017, Yakubu’s counsel, Raji argued that: “by Section 45 of the Federal High Court Act, an offence shall be tried only by a court exercising jurisdiction in the area or place where the offence was committed. No aspect of the perceived offence in respect of which the Order of 13th February, 2017 was made, was committed within the Kano judicial division of this Honourable Court,” Raji said. “By Section 28 of the EFCC Act, only the commission, i.e. the EFCC has the vires to seek an Order for the interim forfeiture of property under the Act. The power of this Honourable Court to make interim forfeiture Order(s) pursuant to Sections 28 & 29 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Act, 2004 (hereinafter “EFCC Act”) is applicable ONLY to alleged offences charged under the EFCC Act and not to offences cognizable under any other law. “The ex-parte Order of this Honourable Court dated 13th February, 2017, was made in respect of alleged offences under the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission Act (hereinafter “ICPC Act”) and not the EFCC Act as prescribed by Section 28 & 29 thereof. “The conditions precedent to the grant of an interim forfeiture Order under Sections 28 & 29 of the EFCC Act were not complied with by the Applicant before the Order was made. In the instant case, no charge was brought against the Respondent/Applicant before the provisions of Section 28 and 29 of the EFCC Act were activated to grant the ex-parte Order of 13th February, 2017.” Recall that the Federal High Court which sat in Kano on the 13th February, 2017 and presided over by Justice Zainab B. Abubakar, had ordered the forfeiture of the sum of $9,772,000 (Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand United States Dollars) and £74,000 (Seventy Four Thousand Pound Sterling) recovered from Mr. Andrew Yakubu to the Federal Government. In a press release signed by Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC Head Media & Publicity, the order was sequel to an ex parte application by the EFCC seeking an interim forfeiture of the recovered money to the Federal Government. The ex parte application was moved by Salihu Sani, counsel for the applicant. In her ruling, Justice Zainab had held “That the sum of $9,772,000 (Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand United States Dollars) and £74,000 (Seventy Four Thousand Pound Sterling) which are now in the custody of the applicant (EFCC) are in the interim forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.” It would also be recalled that, on the 3rd day of February, 2017, operatives of the Commission had stormed a building belonging to the former NNPC boss and recovered the staggering sum of $9,772,000 (Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand United States Dollars) and £74,000 (Seventy Four Thousand Pound Sterling) stashed in a huge fire proof safe. However, Mr. Yakubu has long said the money seized from him were gifts from persons he did not mention. Recall also that on February 8, 2017, Andrew Yakubu had reported to the Commission’s Zonal office in Kano and made statement wherein he admitted ownership of the recovered money, claiming it was gift from unnamed persons.
