I just saved a guy from buying a Car fashioned against him

I would’ve been ₦750,000 richer now after the dealer offered me a deal of a kickback ,but ₦750,000 isn’t worth my peace of mind

He saw the car on Jiji and went for solo inspection, loved the car but his friend’s experience with a car they bought without Pre-Purchase Computerized Inspection made him not to pay for it that day

So he ended up paying 100K for Deposit after they whined him that someone was coming from Maitama to pay for it the next day

It’s a 2014 C300, Nigerians used

He saw my video on Facebook and booked for the inspection this morning

After the inspection , I simply told the guy that I can’t approve that you buy this car, the sludge buildup is too much, cooling system is compromised, too much rust on coolant lines, rattling noise on cold start, they even started it before I arrived but we still knew, wiring system is not in good condition plus shabby looking interior

Plus the environment where the car is, authenticity of original owner and personalities of the seller .

As a first time car owner, you’ll hate Mercedes Benz if you end up buying this car, Kazeem will be your most dialed contact and you’ll drain yourself

You need to see the disappointment on his face when I told him that, the dealer was desperate to sell hence he engaged my brother with an offer

The young guy became confused when the dealer said, If you buy this car and after 1 year you experience any issues on this car, use police and arrest me

I pushed him aside and engaged him

What did they tell you on Saturday when you came and made deposit? I asked

They said I can easily ask for refund if I don’t like the car anymore and they’ll refund swiftly

Oya, to confirm if what he just said is real, pretend like you don’t want to buy again and ask for a refund of the 100K, let’s see

After much bickering, they ended up telling him that they used the 100K to fix some things in the car plus buy fuel for our inspection 😀😀😀

So if he needed the refund, he should wait till they sell the car or they should go to Police Station and sign a refund undertaking

He was shocked and we left, but I could see the pain and disappointment on his face

His friends and sister were already calling, preparing to celebrate a C300 Benz fashioned him

Avoid Cheap Cars, there’s a reason why it’s sold cheap

Also, Pre-Purchase Computerized Inspection is very Important before paying for that car
