Here is the snippet of information you are asking for. The candidates that are to resume should know themselves by now(about 70+ candidates). They should be resuming in a couple of weeks for now. All the best.
[quote author=iwillrejoice post=58872355]Thank you so much for the information. I guess this pretty much wraps it up. A mail is but a formality. Same as they did with the experienced hire last year. But hey what do i know, things may look up. To the waitlisted, best wishes, this is but a stepping stone to reach the highest of highs. To the new recruits, do show them that y'all are the best that ever did it. Peace.

Same with me. Applied for GT tho. Got a text message this morning notifying me of the change - 29th to 25th.

It's well.

System Analyst by the way.
it is well indeed. Thanks for your reply. I haven't received the text message yet thought. Goodluck with your test. I wish you all the best.

Just to be sure, is there anyone scheduled for 29th whose date has changed? Applied for EH, was scheduled for the 29th only to log on to my profile this morning to discover it's been backdated to the 25th. Anyone on the same boat?

I agree that I could have said other things but none of them would have been true.

You don't have to agree with me...I even clarified the context of OYO to which I received a response that stated that it was understood.

It's like when a powerful word goes out from a Man of God and people receive salvation, are healed from affliction or are encouraged in the faith. There will be some in the audience wondering why people are shouting saying, "is it because of this thing he said they are jumping up and down?"

..and so in answering the question if there was a plan to employ a certain set of people, my response remains OYO.

You may wish to scroll back to remind yourself of the statement's context.

Empathy is what brought me here...what you are really asking for is sympathy and unfortunately it will leave you feeling hopeless and helpless in this situation.
I choose to disagree kind sir. Empathy may be what brought you here initially, but your choice of words being discussed doesn't depict that. It was neither empathetic nor was it sympathetic. Empathy from what i understand is ex-ante; wearing someone's shoe and making the person feel better about the future. Sympathy on the other hand is ex-post; understanding one's predicament and trying to make the person feel better about what happened in the past not necessarily forward looking. Now most people here still in the running don't necessarily need sympathy as @rileyfreeman1 said, perfomances were adjudged satisfactory subject to available openings in the company. What is needed is empathy, wearing our shoes and having a closure. Kind sir, you'd be amazed at the level of progress those who were dropped in the running last year have made. As much as those still in the running may not want to admit, this exercise has somewhat changed our lives and some career decisions made by some of us. Truth is, most are at witt's end and just desire closure. So kind sir, do be considerate (empathetic) with your words should you choose to share anymore information with us. Do have a blessed day. We all do hope for a favorable end to this maze of an exercise.

First off, congratulations to all those who have received their offer letters. May y'all excel in your respective functions as assigned and bring about positivity in the organisation such that this type of exercise doesn't linger as it has done/is doing. That being said, this exercise (if indeed it is still ongoing) has left me bemused moreso than when it first started. I was 26.5 yrs when i applied and i will be 30 in a couple of months and there are still so many unanswered questions. Some of applicants recently were 'upgraded' from waitlisted to 'medicalisted' and i may be wrong though, but i am guessing not all prior medicalisted appicants have received their letters. Then there is the waitlisted, which is at the botttom of the totem pole as regards this exercise and which is where i am currently at. So i ask, is this recruitment ever gonna end? Are we looking at the next batch of medicalisted being given offer letters next year? The waitlisted maybe 2 to 3 years? Are positively corrolated factors like Economic outlook, Gas related legislative bills going to make it linger more? Or maybe zero corrolated factors like Real Madrid winning the Champions league back to back, Nigeria Vs Ghana Jollof rice debacle still going to affect this exercise even more? #somanyquestions

More people are being called for medical smiley
More are 'being 'called? I'm at sea please, would you mind to elucidate further?

This is becoming ridiculous by the day, dare i say, almost laughable. If it is currently taking the 'medicalisted' about a year (and counting) to be called i ponder if the 'waitlisted' would be on grey hairs (spotted a few on my head this morning) before they are called? Well, life does have a funny way of teaching lessons, albeit one most memorable....

Having been a silent reader on this thread since inception, gone through the tupsy turvy ride on hopes, beliefs, faith, prayers et al. Gotta say this is getting pretry much ludicrous. Probably would(if ever concluded) be the most painstaking recruitment ever. Got some info sometime late last year, not necessarily about when the recruitment ends but about the circumstances to which the exercise still lingers. They may probably be hearsays hence i write them in rhetorics:

Did you know that the No1 citizen of the country has a daughter in this organisation?. Rumor has it she was moved due to the insecurity in the south south.
Did you know that contract staff in the organisation that ought to have been converted are still pending?
Did you know that the organisation are so dire in need of staff that they reduced the no of those called for medicals to a particular discipline only to be halted by the 'power that be'?
Did you know that the organisation may just have been ridden with Nepotism and palpable bureacracy?
Did you know that those in waiting(by merit) for recruitment may not necessarily be those that will be eventually recruited?

Well, these were some of the open-ended questions that are begging for answers.

At the end, what will be will be.

Shalom
