Travel / Re: Giving Birth In Canada by seun07: 6:38pm On Dec 24, 2016
catalano:

It doesn't matter. My family friend was already preggy when she applied but she did online application and there was nowhere they asked if she's preggy or not so she didn't indicate. She wasn't called for interview either and was given 4 yrs visa.

Now to the info everyone is itching to hear this is not MHIS Cuz Canadian system is different since our health care is free. Lemme explain.

So for her,

1. Dr fee was 750
2. Hospital was 2500 per day and she stayed just a day nd it's CS Ooo
3. Anesthesia..640

Total is 3890 CAD

The baby paid nothing because immediately he was born, he's Canadian so his health card which was given immediately at the hospital made it free. All the specialist that came to check him like eye, hearing etc was free. So this is the part that in US that adds up cuz baby have to pay.

Hotstepper hello,

Please i sent an e-mail to you.

Do have a great day.

"@Catalona,

Please can you provide the details of the doctor you used?

I would really appreciate this.

thanks.

Immediately is a very subjective word. Any certifications she can write, might help her job prospects. But immediately, don't raise or hope for false or abstract expectations........

Thank you sir once again.

So you get my drift now, right?

Yea i do. Thanks

What if wifee writes certifications like CFA or ACCA as she's still in Nigeria, that might get a good/average Job immediately in the UK? though UK employers align more to your skills than certs.

Your wife can travel to the uk (pregnant or after birth), depending on how heavy she is
Considering her been out of the system possibly for a while, where is her support network going to come from?
How would she look for a job, go to work, care for baby and start organizing documentations for your application?
No magical wand, anything done properly, is done well.....

yea, i get your point. it might be difficult for her to get a job during her pregnancy, plus NHS might not give free medicals based on her being out of the system .

Are you aware of a shorter process?
NB: Do you have any savings in Nigeria?

not aware of a shorter process.

well, depends on how much you are talking about coupled with the crazy exchange rate.

My advise to you :
(1) Wife gives birth in Nigeria (Keeps baby in Nigeria), only after your child is fully weaned off breast milk
(2) Wife locates to the UK (She goes to ginger her hustle). Meet up all the prerequites for application
(3) You submit spousal application for you and baby
(4) Submit priority aplication
(5) Allow about 2 months after application
(6) Start packing your bags and Baby's bag

NB : All this process would take at least 48 months (at the minimum)

thanks @Lexusgs430, this process is quite long.

Hi Everyone,

Good job to all the contributors here.

My wife holds a British passport but we are currently in Nigeria(wife is pregnant) and we want to relocate to the UK. As none of us is in the Uk and cannot fulfill the financial requirement of N18,600. please, what's the best possible advice as we want to relocate. Thank you.

Bro, no one can advise you on whether u can make it or not. It depends on your personal circumstances. Assess your points, only then can you know whether u stand a chance or not. For example, what do you do for work? And how many years of experience do you have? Which occupation do you want to nominate? You barely provided enough info about yourself and you want others to advise you. lipsrsealed

@ scrollmeout, sorry about that.

I currently work as a credit analyst (2yrs+ experience) and isn’t among the occupation in Sol list, so I chose Internal auditor which is very similar to my job role

Below are the points I calculated

Age : 25points

IELTS : not yet taken

PTE : not yet taken

Skilled employment < 3yrs (0 point) based on my current Job role

Unless I make 20 points both in IELTS and PTE, then I might meet the minimum requirement.

please i would appreciate any advice.

Thank you all!

hi everyone, thanks for all the input added on this thread.

my wife and i are considering immigrating to Australia using PR.
I have Computer science as my first degree but work experience is not aligned with my degree study.

Please advise if i have a chance of being granted PR and requirements needed.

@bellong, NNBB2012, scrollmeout, kubbiebrownie and other gurus in the house, your input will be much appreciated.
