Is there anyway state governments can lose control of security in their states if they control the process? I don't think so. Let the state police provisions be approved and let it start working, then we can talk about those who cannot secure their states by themselves.

Maybe you want to be arguing for argument sake so I won’t respond further to you. My opinion is as clear as daylight. The insecurity in some parts of the north is politically targeted at Mr. President. State police or not, desperate politicians who want to cause mischief will have their way. It is now left for the country to react. If serious sanctions are now put in place to sanction these unscrupulous elites, they will keep creating problems for a president that is not from their region.

Btw, the same northern elites are the stumbling block to state police. And without the support of majority of NASS members and 24 state houses of assembly, state police can’t be created.

State governors should have their own police for the state, all these Federal control has never worked for a single day, they could be slaughtering your while village while the IG is locked in a meeting with ashewo girls and network won't even allow anyone know.

Empower the locals the defend themselves.

I’m an advocate of state police. It is inevitable. I’m n addition, the constitution needs to be amended to remove governors who have lost control of security situation in their states.

We actually need to amend the constitution to provide for a full state of emergency in which the governor and all members of the state assembly will be removed for a six month period if they can’t maintain peace and security in their state.

The nonsense happening in Zamfara and some NW states is enough. Abducting your people either for money or politics is nonsense and should no longer be tolerated.

1million liters is about N1billion. That’s too much to ask of marketers. Very few marketers will be able to meet such a high requirement and in effect, these big marketers will sell at whatever exorbitant prices they like to the small marketers and petrol stations thereby pushing the final price to consumers too high.

What exactly do you mean by don’t interfere in local politics

This is the same xenophobic nonsense that onanuga and alake were spouting during the election elections

Are you suggesting that igbos living in the southwest should only vote for presidency and stay out of governorship , state assembly and local government elections ?
Are you suggesting that it is unconstitutional for non-yoruba to contest or vote in those local elections ?

Let’s hear your explanation on this

Yes to the part in bold.

Yet Allen is still doing one Nigeria

I have done one Nigeria here on nairaland... Was one of the biggest advocates

But truth is... As long as you are an Igbo man in Nigeria they would never give you a level playing ground ... The sooner igbos like Allen understand this the better

So, what he couldn’t get in the last 7 years, the Tinubu administration has given him in barely 10 months. And guess those who folks like you are attacking, Tinubu and Yoruba people.

If Tinubu is to behave exactly like you ungrateful and hate filled obidients, Air Peace won’t be anywhere near UK. But he’s a nationalist and the father of the nation who is eager to support every business of Nigerian origin irrespective of the ethnicity of the owner.

For a lot of us from the SW, we don’t give a fvck about others. Do your thing peacefully and don’t try to block our way. Support your candidate in peace and let’s support our candidate in peace. Don’t interfere in our local politics especially Lagos and we won’t have problem with you.

Refusal of folks like you to do the above is what is causing the pushback. If you like wear Dibia cloth to run your business, if you offer value at good price, we shall patronize you. Nothing concern us with your attire.

There is nothing to even argue here because we all listened to the “Yes Daddy” conversation and heard how Peter Obi told Oyedepo that the election is a religion war. He threatened to sue People’s Gazette when the recording was released and up till today, we are yet to hear from his lawyers.

We also saw how he made church grounds the targets of his campaign. He went from one church to the other daily and telling the congregation that the church should take back their country. So, what’s there to deny?

For proper perspective, can you post at least six of the negative comments about the attire from this particular ethnic group. Let’s see the negative tweets you guys are responding to because some of us can’t really see them.

Exactly. There is no outrage anywhere. All the tweets I’ve seen about the attire are from Igbo handles trying to make an issue out of nothing. I barely saw two or three tweets complaining about the attire but I’ve seen over 1k tweets trying to defend whatever it is they are defending.

For the avoidance of doubt, there is no Yoruba person that is outraged by the attire. When next I’m going to London, I will fly Air Peace because it’s a Nigerian brand. Im completely cool with the attire. What matters is safety and a smooth flight to UK.

We have had local airline fly to London Heathrow in the past but I don't know don't know why it went under. My first trip to London was via a local airline called Bellview. I would have to read up on why it went defunct.

A bellview flight crashed in 2005 killing all passengers on board. The airline never recovered from the crash.

It was the other way round. The BASA that made it possible has been there for years without anyone pushing for the implementation. It was Tinubu who ordered Keyamo to do everything possible to get the slot for Air Peace. Allen Onyema should be eternally grateful to Mr. President and the Hon. Now I see why El-Rufai is looking towards another party. Things seems to have broken down completely at the home front. President Bola Tinubu should please step in and try negotiate a truce. This is not good for APC.

Above is the source. Vanguard is an Igbo newspaper so who exactly are you accusing of propaganda?

See, one of the major quality of leadership is the ability to accept one’s fault and stop looking for who to blame always. Peter Obi and all you his supporters have unfortunately mastered the art of blaming others for your own failures.

When Lamidi Apapa was complaining about Abure, characters like you with the support of Peter Obi physically assaulted him in Abuja. You called him all shorts of name including APC mole. Today, Abure is the new APC mole and vanguard is now a propaganda outfit trying to blackmail Peter Obi.

Don’t you guys ever learn? Is this how Peter Obi intends to rule Nigeria? Lies, propaganda, blackmail and never taking responsibility for anything? Smh!!

I don’t know if it’s shallow thinking or what, but how are you not able to differentiate that Obi is drilling those boreholes with his money while Tinubu is doing saraka to the north with our common patrimony to the tune of 90billion Naira.

How are you not able to make this simple differentiation?

I don’t give a fvck where the money is coming from. The intention is my concern and that is what I addressed. They both have the same intention and it’s quite hypocritical to condemn one and support the other.

If Obi is president and has access to public resources, he will do even worse than Tinubu to get voters patronage so stop crying because Tinubu is beating Obi gbajue to his game.

Northerners want a subsidized hajj and Mr. President has give them. They are Nigerians and they deserve whatever makes them happy. If you like cry from now till 2027, it won’t change anything.

Lol!

After seeing the serious inroads that Peter Obi is making into the core Muslim north, Bulaba has decided to try to measure up by bribing northern Muslims with subsidized Hajj.

Or tell me why an administration that claims it wants to implement the Orosanya Report would still be subsidizing Hajj whilst that report recommended that government should stop funding both Muslim and Christian Pilgrimages.

Fear don catch Emilokan while his supporters are on Nairaland living in fools paradise 😏

If you see nothing wrong in Peter Obi attempting to bribe Northerners with borehole and food, why are you crying over Federal Government’s decision to subsidize hajj payment for Muslims? What’s wrong with two can play the game?
