There's a new covenant consecrated by Christ's blood and Christians are the chosen ones.

You Judahite Pharisee
Do you understand what Apostle Paul says in Romans 11:17-21 concerning Israel stubbornness in relation to the gentiles who are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus?

The Root Supports the Branches (Romans 11:18)
Paul explicitly tells Gentile believers, "do not boast against the branches" (natural Israel), reminding them: "You do not support the root, but the root supports you".
The Root: Represents the covenants, promises, and faith of the patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob).
The Message: Believers are grafted into a historical, divine covenant that existed long before them. They are sustained by the heritage of Israel, not the other way around.

The Position is Held by Faith, Not Superiority (Romans 11:20)
Paul notes that some branches (some Jews) were broken off due to unbelief, and Gentiles were grafted in by faith. He warns, "Do not be haughty, but fear".
Grace, Not Merit: The inclusion of Gentiles is entirely by grace, not because they are inherently better or more righteous than the Israelites who rejected the Messiah.
A Warning: The same "severity" of God that allowed for the breaking off of natural branches applies to grafted branches if they fall into the same pride or disobedience.

God's Purpose Includes Future Restoration (Romans 11:23–26)
Israel's stubbornness is not permanent or final. Paul argues that God is able to graft the natural branches back in.

Partial Hardening: The stubbornness is partial and temporary, lasting only "until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in".
Future Redemption: Mocking a group that God has promised to restore is a disregard for God’s sovereign plan.

The Goal is to "Provoke Jealousy" (Romans 11:11, 14)
The purpose of the Gospel going to the Gentiles was not to mock Israel, but to provoke them to jealousy—to stir them to desire the blessings of their own Messiah. Arrogance on the part of believers hinders this purpose.

5. The Biblical Command to Humility (1 Corinthians 4:7)
Paul challenges the mindset of superiority by asking, "What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast?". The "elected" are saved by grace alone, which excludes any ground for boasting against others.
PoliticsFG Allocates #4 Billion To FUT Akure, 11 Universities 4 Engineering Upgrade by seunowa(op): 5:30pm On Mar 02
The Federal Government has approved N4 billion each for 12 selected engineering and technology universities to rehabilitate workshops and procure modern equipment.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, on Monday during the inauguration of the Implementation Committee on Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Special High-Impact Intervention Projects in Abuja.

The intervention targets the rehabilitation of Engineering and Technology faculties in Federal Universities of Technology (FUTs) and conventional universities nationwide.

What the Minister said
Dr. Alausa explained that the funds would either upgrade existing facilities or support the construction of new engineering workshops where necessary.

“The High-Impact Intervention Project is a strategic initiative aimed at upgrading laboratories, workshops, and research facilities, positioning our institutions as hubs of innovation and practical problem solving,” he said.
He added that success depends on effective implementation, strict adherence to standards, transparency, and accountability.

“Every facility delivered under this intervention must reflect quality, sustainability, and relevance to national needs,” he said.
Beneficiary institutions include FUT Minna, FUT Akure, FUT Babura, FUT Ikot-Abasi, FUT Owerri, Nigerian Army University, BIU, African Aviation and Aerospace University, Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and University of Ilesha, Osun

He highlighted that an additional N20 billion had been provided in the 2026 TETFund guidelines to upgrade engineering facilities in other selected institutions.

More details
The Implementation Committee is tasked with monitoring project execution, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and timelines, evaluating outcomes, and providing objective reports to guide policy decisions.

They are also responsible for recommending sanctions for non-compliant institutions.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, commended President Tinubu and the National Assembly for efforts to transform Nigeria’s education landscape and restore universities to global standards.

On behalf of the committee, Ali Rabiu, President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), pledged commitment to the successful implementation of the initiative, describing the assignment as a distinct honour and vowing meaningful contribution to its success.

What you should know
The intervention seeks to bridge the gap between theory and industry requirements by providing modern workshops, advanced laboratories, and industry-relevant equipment.

In a similar intervention under TETFund, the government approved N4.2 billion in the 2024 Grant Cycle of the National
Research Fund (NRF) to fund 158 research projects and establish 18 innovation and entrepreneurship hubs across select tertiary institutions.
The largest share of the NRF grant, N2.34 billion, went to Science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation (SETI) projects. Humanities and Social Sciences received N1.02 billion, while cross-cutting projects received N870.7 million. Major beneficiaries included the Federal University of Technology, Minna (15 awards, N400.03 million), Ahmadu Bello University (13 awards, N359.8 million), and Federal University of Technology, Akure (12 awards, N341.6 million).

The approved research works span areas such as sustainable eco-friendly building materials, hybrid agricultural fertilizers, intelligent aerial robotics for crop management, AI-enabled Internet of Medical Things for military monitoring, and intelligent energy management systems.

Rindo69:
I think you lack more understanding and they have used real-time as the buzz word. The actual technology stores the results on the devices even in areas with "limited internet" and once they get to an area with adequate connectivity, the device then uploads the result!

No one cares about real time or delayed time , what we care about is that the result captured on the IREV is the result transmitted from the polling unit. Rigging occurs due to manual changes in the result sheet between polling unit and collation centre!!! This is what the Politicians want to retain.

I hope i have educated you at least so you don't get your learning from your idols, Reno and Seyi law!

Let me elaborate a bit cos you may not comprehend all I have written.

You do not need real time transmission from the polling unit to your phone to tell you results. INEC has servers which everyone can access and refresh to receive the results that have been uploaded to IREV

"Limited internet" has been planned for by INEC. In areas with strong network, the result sheet captured is instantly transmitted to the server.

In areas with poor internet, the result is stored on the device and transmits itself once it gets good service.

Even your live football matches, emails, or even the live news you watch isn't "real-time". There is a lag which can be up to a few milliseconds or longer (called latency). So consider the poor internet as latency and those results will hit the server late but it will eventually get there.

Don't let them muddle up the conversation with real time and unreal time...that isnt the spirit of the technology.

Ire oooo
The problem with many of you is that you allow your emotion to think for you. And once your emotion controls your thoughts, irrationality and misinformation become the order of the day. You could hear what the opposition parties were clamouring, mandatory real-time e-transmission of results. Then, what is the position of the National Assembly to this proposition? The National Assembly said yes there will electronic transmission of results but the phrase " mandatory real-time" should be expunged in order to avert litigations at the tribunals.

Look at what you suggested "The actual technology stores the results on the devices even in areas with "limited internet" and once they get to an area with adequate connectivity, the device then uploads the result". Opposition figures are shouting for mandatory real-time e-transmission but you are saying real-time is not longer necessary. Is electronic transmission of results not in the amended electoral law?

Is your submission not the position of the National Assembly? Is your submission real-time? The National Assembly is saying that mandatory real time transmission should be jettisoned as not every part of Nigeria has Internet penetration but where there is Internet connectivity, real-time transmission is possible such as Abuja, Lagos etc.
Because of these obvious challenges, the National Assembly came up with form EC8A as a backup in an area with limited Internet connectivity.
The council election in Abuja, were the results not transmitted electronically? Or is every part of Nigeria, Abuja or Lagos? Don't let your emotion speak, give your brain chance to speak.

"Abbas explained that Nigeria’s limited internet penetration and unstable power supply made it impractical to rely solely on real-time electronic transmission across the country"

Of course... but bandits have "Internet penetration" in the forests to post their tik tok videos. There is Starlink and probably by 2027, there'll be Amazon Leo but we must find excuses to keep manual transmission cos this is the only way 12 can turn to 1200 or even 12000.
One question you need to ask yourself is if that tik tok video is real-time because many of you have slow and low understanding.

naptu2:
I wrote this on December 10th, 2025.

I'm going to use my childhood understanding to explain the difference between conventional warfare and asymmetric warfare.

1) Conventional:

This seemed kind of funny to me when I was a kid.

You'd read about some battles that were fought in ancient times and they seemed funny. Both armies would agree to meet on a field at a specific time and date. You would have two armies fighting against each other and civilians (especially women and children) would not be involved. There were rules of chivalry, etc.

Let's bring it to modern times. Conventional warfare is war between two armies in which, their positions (location) are known, their identities are known (they wear uniforms), etc. It's all about which army is stronger.

2) Asymmetric warfare:

Asymmetry means unequal. In asymmetric warfare, a smaller or weaker force is trying to fight a big and proper army. The smaller or weaker force knows that it cannot beat the bigger army in a face to face fight, so it uses unconventional methods. These unconventional methods include.

A) No uniforms:

There is no way of identifying the enemy. The enemy might be standing beside you but you won't know. The weaker force can easily blend into the civilian population and escape.

Everybody knows that Nigeria defeated the rebels in Sierra Leone, but do you know that there was one occasion that the rebels defeated the Nigerian Army? That's because the rebels used asymmetric warfare.

The Nigerian Army had total control of Freetown. I listened to an angry Nigerian commander on the BBC and although many years have passed, I'm going to do my best to quote him.

He said that he had warned his men about the civilians that often came into Freetown from a certain location. He told them that it was dangerous to allow people come in from there. But his men didn't listen because they thought that they were women and children and refugees. So what happened.

The RUF rebels had struck a deal with some members of the Sierra Leonean Army. Unarmed RUF rebels came into Freetown as refugees. Then, one day, some members of the Sierra Leonean Army, led by Major Johnny Paul Koroma, announced a coup and they were backed by RUF rebels that had snuck into the capital. They were able to expel the Nigerians from Freetown and encircle them at Lungi.

Freetown Airport is on Lungi Island and Nigerian Ecomog troops were restricted to Lungi and encircled.

I have posted many videos, pictures, etc of what happened.

In one of the videos that I posted, we saw rebels looking at NNS Ambe. They were trying not to show it, but they were afraid because they thought that it was NNS Aradu. It was NNS Ambe, a landing ship tank (LST), kind of like the C130 of the navy and it was there in case the Nigerians needed to evacuate, but the rebels thought that it came to attack them.

Anyway, that was the finest hour of Brigadier General Maxwell Khobe. He personally led the attack from the front. He was injured during the attack, but he refused to allow medics treat his wounds and told them to take care of other soldiers. Brigadier Khobe and his Nigerian Ecomog troops recaptured Freetown (the rebels could not defeat the Nigerians in conventional war) butthose wounds would get worse and eventually lead to his death months later (he died at St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos).

If Boko Haram, ISWAP or whatever they call themselves were to wear uniforms, gather at specific camps, etc like a regular army, then it won't take the Nigerian Army up to 6 months to defeat them.

B) No specific location:

I told you how the Nigerian Army defeated Boko Haram due to the surge during the Jonathan and Buhari era, yet Boko Haram fighters fled to Lagos (even Lekki here), Sokoto, Plateau and other places. Then, whenever they wanted, they would launch attacks in various parts of Nigeria. How do you fight such a scattered organisation?

I told you that the people of Kano hated Boko Haram, yet Abubakar Shekau was able to hide in Kano for a long time. Nobody knew who he was, he used a fake name and he was able to send message to fighters many miles away in Borno and the attacks were taking place in Borno while he was in Kano. It was only when the heat got too hot on Kano that he fled to Sambisa Forest.

C) Soft targets:

There are laws and rules that govern conventional warfare. You don't attack certain targets because it would be a war crime.

But these terrorists can attack anywhere. They pick the softest targets (bus stops, schools, churches, mosques, etc) that nobody would expect and you cannot defend against these attacks.

They also engage in hit and run attacks, which means that they will attack a place and run before the military arrive.

Dangers

One of the big dangers of asymmetric warfare is war crimes. I have written about this in both the Nigerian and American contexts.

It is very difficult to fight against such enemies and it could make conventional soldiers to do some things that they are not supposed to do.

For example, soldiers could kill civilians out of frustration (because the terrorists often hide among civilians).

Soldiers and policemen might end up profiling people and innocent people will suffer, etc.
Great masterpiece
