That is not true. I applied online and I got one year visa after waiting for four months . I know of people who did paper application and got till validity of passport . I am actually waiting to see how long @jayfirece will get.

Wow....sorry about that. You can check the VFS website for current visa fees. I suppose they charge based on dollar rate.

Are you a first timer? I think you should provide more details about your application so that people can help with analysis.

If you are doing paper application you will have to submit your passport immediately. I know VFS Lagos acceptsapplication everyday of the week. Not sure of Abuja.

If you are doing paper application you will submit your passport with your application. I am sure submission is done everyday of the week at Lagos VFS. Not sure of Abuja.

Na CIC you dey take joke like that? No be small thing. April 12 till August 4 approval mail. I can't count number of times I dey open email just waiting.

People that did paper route after me sef don go Canada return (lol). Not easy waiting on this people. I wish everyone waiting good news by God's grace. It shall end in praise .

If you applied first week of July, i doubt your email will make much difference as your application Is still within the quoted application time frame. All the best.

Applied 12th April online. Biometrics on the with.

Sent CSE July then I emailed Accra 3rd August. Got passport request 4th and submitted 5th August.

Tracked yesterday,11th and saw that passport was ready for collection. Didn't spend up to 10 minutes at vfs to drop passport and pick up as well.

Hello house, does anyone know how long it actually takes after dropping off passport at vfs and getting it back. I just want to know if this vacation is still possible. Thank you.

I sent a case specific enquiry from the CIC website and then sent a mail to accra after two weeks. I did not get a mail from VFS only on my CIC account.
I just submitted my passport on Friday the 5th, yet to get it back. I will advise that you apply using paper method, definitely faster than online. VFS told me it nay take another 5 to 10 working days to get my passport back.

2. When you got the approval mail, did you get a SMS message from VFS too? How soon did you get the visa-stamped passport after submitting at VFS?
It's a race against time for me..... i wish i had done a paper application oooo

Paper route is the best option these days. The embassy receives loads of emails daily so, to enable them treat online applications fast is always a huge task. Even if you send them an email on any urgent matter,it takes a while before they would reply you. That is why its always advisable one sends emails on urgent matters up to 3 times repeatedly with an interval of 2-3 days . At least, one will be given a quick attention out of the 3.

Na wa for CIC. Over three months and nothing for my side.

I am in the same shoes, I applied on June 10, online. No word from them yet. I chose online route because i felt it would be easier. I would recommend PAPER route to any new applicants.

I don't think It is impossible. Just get your documents right.
