Of course you will be charged. Kindly cancel and rebook another date. |
Canada is more detailed with documentation more than America. If your husband can supply evidences of all the monies in his account, then you should be fine. He wont be the first business owner who doesn't have a payslip to apply for a visa. If he generates payslip but it is not recorded on his bank statements that is like misrepresentation. So be careful. All the best. dan147: |
You can check all the past posters and see the list of documents provided. Also, do not submit a doctored bank statement. I do not think a medical is required for a tourist visa. Get your itinerary for the visit ready (hotel and flight). Bank Statement. Evidence of tax payment. Letter from employer (if you have one) Marriage certificate(if applicable), birth certificate List is endless< just check whichever affects you. enderwiggins: |
In as much as i would like to think it should not affect your chances, you cant be to careful. It kinda looks like someone desperate to enter Canada. Why not give it time before reapplying. Just my two cents tho. Some people may have different opinions on this issue. All the best. ijeaify: |
Hi there, it takes a while for the online portal to change. At least mine took over a week before it changed to approved. When adults pay for biometrics it is stated that it covers transporting your passport to visa office or embassy. Kids don't do biometrics hence the reason to pay extra for their passports. I hope this answers your question. halle2: |
You already applied. No one knows the chances of getting a visa, just hope for the best. kokorita: |
I think you need to indicate in your application details about your family. So somehow I guess his status will come up. Since your husband is a citizen who probably lives here cos he has a good job and can afford to send his family on holiday, I don't think it should be a problem. Just ensure you have enough funds to support you and your child. Fill your forms honestly . Read through the thread and see what people use as supporting documents as well . All the best. Congratularions your visa has been approved. It is stated there clearly . Please share documents provided. fcisca: |
I don't think it should if you provide all the required documents. It's not a one size fit all stuff though. Read through the thread and see do documents that were submitted by different people. What should be must important to you now In my own opinion is your funds. No thanks to recession, our money isn't all that when converted to foreign currency. All the best. You can also lost what you want to submit so that other people can help by chipping one or two things. quote author=gratefularewa post=52887285]Good evening Nairalanders I want to apply for Canadian Visit/Tourism for my cousin's wedding in July. I have a valid USA visa. Congratulations. Kindly share your timeline and documents to assist others. |
I believe US passport holders do not need a visa to visit Canada. All the best with your own application. dora2007: |

Congrats Zeus. That's good news. My profile read open and no decision made long after I got my visa approved. I just randomly checked one day and saw that it had changed to application closed. Just submit on Monday and I'm sure before the end of the week you will get your passport back. Like Jayfierce said, please let's know the documents you submitted. Congrats once again. |
Thank you @jayfierce ...I did. Lol @ not being afraid to play with new kids . |
Hello my people@jayfierce @awelekiti and others please can you guys tell me how to go about getting or changing date at the US website. Trying to apply for visa for an infant, the parents already have visas. Got a date in January but they would like an earlier date. I don boast say my people for Canada thread go tell me what to do. I know this is not US thread but that place looks rowdy Make una no vex please help. Thank you. |
To the best of my knowledge you can only apply from your home country cos of the kind of visa you have. adaxxy: |
@passionup11 if you are able to find your trip and back it up with good evidence, I don't see any reason why your wife shouldn't get the visa. I will advise you get all your documents especially your finance in top shape. She won't be the first unemployed woman to apply and get approved. I know 2. So wish you luck. |
@redreact : so sorry to read this. Do you know the basis for the denial yet? |
@mummyf: you husband can write a letter to say he is sponsoring the trip. All he may need aside his bank statement of course will be a copy of his passport data page. He also has to write a consent letter saying he is in support of the kids travelling with you alone. That one isvery important. You may also include your bank statement just as a prove of your financial stability. Virgin passport or not, if you satisfy all requirement I am sure you guys will get the visas approved. |
Was his passport collected from him? Cos I'm at a loss as to why he was tracking if he was refused. |
@bigfido so sorry, just logged in to read about your refusal. Good thing is you know where the lapses are and ready to refire. That's the spirit, tho it is very painful and frustrating but I know you will get your visa at the second attempt. To others yet to apply, please package whatever you think is necessary. Waiting for a response from CIC is never funny. God's speed bigfido. |
Adufe2016x:Hi, please read through the posts. There are no hard and fast rules to what documents to provide as circumstances are not usually the same. All the best. |
@irebami I think you can write them with details of new passport. All the best. |
@jayfierce come and gimme small out of your validity o. Thank God it ended well, congrats once again. |
I'm not sure online route is ideal but considering that they are no longer dealing with students visa you may be lucky. You can read through the thread and see the different documents people have used. I don't think there is any hard and fast rule to documents. Different people with different requirements based on your circumstance. Wish you luck. quote author=helen88 post=50135849]Good day d gurus in d house.i intend applying for canada tourist visa most likely via the online route because my passport is still at a shenghen embassy and i also need d current visas there since canadian embassy takes time. .pls i need a comprehensive requirement from personal experience.#not cic based requirement.
