Nice one.
I think when we are enough let's create a WhatsApp or telegram group for easy dissemination of information.

[qwuote author=Rich4god post=116963348]Its also good to note that our learning wont be in a haste.

We will be on a SLOW AND STEADY MODE... So if your blood dey hot for fast learning, plz with due respect, make you no put us under pressure.

Also, members are expected to possess the following.

Laptop
Good Internet Connection and the finance to maintain it.
Willing to dedicate at least 1hr a day for learning and practice and also at least 2hrs during weekend for general discussion.

Other parameters and mode of learning will be outlined by the general house when we are about to start.

I am in too, though started basic back end development on Coursera some weeks back but work schedules stopped me from continuing. We can decide on the particular YouTube video to download so we can all be on the same page
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by shalom4eva(m): 9:19pm On Jul 27, 2022
Truly the GMD wanted to close out the EH recruitment but he said the ones interviewed don't have the experience that the contract staffs have and so they can't employ supposedly experienced hires and still be spending funds training them again.

adeakin777:

I do respect your opinion but I beg to differ on the bolded. If Mele Kyari knew he would be opting for the contract staff rather than the EH applicants then he should have truncated the exercise at the interview stage. I was invited for the interview and I was lucky enough to be schedule for Saturday(some EHs were scheduled during work days), however, I had to travel on Friday evening to Abuja after work. I expended over 100k on accommodation and transportation just to go for the interview and return back. At the end, we did not even get a snippet of feedback on the outcome of the interview. If that is not ineptitude, I wonder what is. Some people even came from outside the country for the interview, so you can imagine how much expenses they must have borne. Truth is most of the recruitment into Federal government agencies especially the ones that pay above average income are highly politicized and this make it extremely difficult to complete transparently. In fact, I would not be surprised(though I genuinely wish it to be completed) if this NCDMB tow the same line.
Programming / In Need Of A Good Place To Learn Programming Languages In Ikorodu by shalom4eva(m): 3:48pm On Jun 16, 2022
Hello guys,
I want to learn a programming language, but the issue is that due to the nature of my job I am not always chanced to study, so it's very difficult for me to understand some basic concepts. I don't know if there's any good Tech school in Ikorodu where can learn how to program on weekends preferably. I will appreciate advice on any good and money-worth training centre that one can learn.

Unforyunately, The class schedule is not suitable for a 8-5 working class like me

echibuzor:
Have you heard of Andela? No andela.co.

Some of us are not resident in Lagos so we cannot just up and leave to join the bootcamp even when we are invited for the interview.

Enter microverse.org | Learn coding remotely, get paired with a student of your knowledge level and grow together over the space of 1 year (If you don't have a previous knowledge) or 20 weeks (If you have 3 months or equivalent knowledge of Javascript language.).

The path is HTML, CSS, JS, Node.js, Ruby, Ruby on Rails.

I just went to the coding challenge history and I can only see 3 Nigerians (including myself.) Meet you there. Thank you.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by shalom4eva(m): 7:46pm On Jan 03, 2022
Guys make Una no kill unasef for vacancy section o, don't make the same mistake I made.

I joined nairaland since 2011 and I restricted myself to jobs and vacancies section unknown to me there are other sections available that could change my life for better.

Do you know in travel section, as an hnd holder you can get info on how to go for your masters or PhD abroad, with your hnd o! Yes you heard me right. Even with fully or partially funded scholarship. And no be all schools required IELTS, gre and the likes

Do you know that if you had been visiting the investment section, with just investing 30k in BnB as at 2017 or so when it was created, then it was selling less than a cent but now even in the dip, BnB is about $400. If you have left that till now you know say you for no dey pray and fast make ncdmb send mails or not. Lolz

If you are frequently in the tech section you might have learnt one of this coding languages and by now working remotely and living your life.

Guys make Una no restrict Unasef here, spread your net, especially the new graduate.

Finally, thank God I visited the romance section one day, and I no regret cos na there I see the love of my life and we a blessed with a beautiful baby boy. Check my profile to see the story.

Stay blessed and happy New year all

You will get the date after successfully filling the form. You can pay through a GT bank app instead of going to the bank

Cyntibarbie:

Hello. Where did you see the date? And secondly how are you making payment for the visa, do you have a GTB account? I started the scheduling interview stage and it asked for receipt number and I got stuck.

Ok, I will try calling them also and if there's other way out I will update you

Cyntibarbie:
Hello,
Same issue I am experiencing , I sent a mail to the embassy not gotten a response till now. I want to try another browser too, I was using Chrome. If you scroll up you would see where someone was advised to send a mail and they will send you log on details. I also called the embassy and they said 2 business days. Still waiting though.
If you find a solution please let me know, that's the only thing remaining for me.

Modified: I have seen the site to schedule an appointment (cgi), but each time I try to open an account it gives me this "Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted" reply. please what could this mean.

Good day guys, Please I have filled the DS-160 form and submitted it, the only problem I am having is booking for an appointment cos anytime I visit the Nigerian embassy website there's no place stating where to apply for a visa interview. I am new in this game, anyone to put me through, please.
Family / Re: I'm 23 Years Old While My Girlfriend Is 29 Years (Can We Get Married) by shalom4eva(m): 2:28pm On Oct 25, 2021
Guy, Dare art alade, Mr P of P square and many more nigerian artists are younger than their wives and still doing fine till today.

oldienavie:

In all these examples there is not 1 single African there talkless of Nigerian.
Even abroad, younger men marrying older women is the exception not the norm.

@oP na small child still dey do you... when you grow up small your eye will open.
Age is not just a number, especially if you are an African. Oyinbo people have already normalised homosexuality while it carries 14 year jail term in Nigeria.
The summary of my talk is that we are Africans/Nigerians and as such reason like one.
