I noticed with chagrin that those who are crucifying, criticizing and condeming MMM are pretty much those who know little or nothing about it,especially because they have not tried it. I was actually thinking i would read of people who reported to cbn about being scammed by mmm... But that has not been the case, rather i see cbn being threatened by the success rate (and stories) gotten by MMM. IT'S easy to criticize/condemn something you don't know about, something you don't believe in, or something that's against what you stand for... I honestly think this is what CBN is doing. Congrats Abuja Otondos... make sure you get to camp very early so you get into good hostels (the hostels across the parade ground). if you have enough passport photos,8-10, (red or white background) no need to take anymore in camp...dont let those photographers deceive you or talk you into taking more passport photos. we had few theft cases but use permanent markers to mark your items for easy identification. i went in with extension and stapler and staple pins...they were very useful to me and those around me. (just put them under your clothes or the lower part of your box...just make sure its hidden). you cant have too many white tshirts...i still use them... i had 6 plus the one given to us, making it 7. i went to camp with my bucket, detergent, starch, bleach(hypo) but i was involved in a lot of activities i was usually very tired or didnt have the time to wash my clothes...no be ajebo matter...we had people who washed and ironed clothes too (N50/item, wash and iron), twas really helpful cos it took away the burden of washing, keeping an eye on your washed clothes and then bothering about wearing rumpled clothes. please try not to bother so much about abuja accommodation, fuel scarcity in abuja, salary from your PPA, and other issues you can do little or nothing about...just be active and involved in camp and platoon activities. make friends. have fun. Theres no hurry in life...you will have all the time you want after you leave camp, so enjoy all the time you have in camp. I m wishing you guys all the best. Tega4kim:many PPA's pay...govt organizations/parastatal dont pay much but they have channels/activities that ll fetch you extra money. private firms pay higher, NGO's too but private schools seem to be the jackpot here in abuja. |

Medley:I was a victim of "No record found" last batch so i couldn't register and therefore wasn't deployed. What happened in my case, after thorough investigation, was what i called "1 digit mistake" in my reg no (instead of 38[b]5[/b]99, what was on the senate list was 38[b]3[/b]99...that's how i missed last batch). Still on your matter...try to know if there was a mistake in your reg. no/ mat. no., surname, or even date of birth (im not so sure DOB is inclusive cos even during my registration i noticed errors in my dob, state of origin and grade). If you discover where the mistake/ error is, just go ahead and register with the wrong reg. no/ mat. no or surname. (you may need to check with your schools list to know where/ what the mistake is. With this few points of mine, i hope i'v been able to convince you that 'al iz well...even in the well...weda water de inside or not'. I'm believing you will join me in thanking God soon...i did my registration on thursday...its Lagos. Abuja or Akwaibom. |

EstyBle:esther i had similar problems and missed 2 batches...whereas my details was there in nysc's database but with a wrong reg no. (just one digit was wrong o)...i was advised to check with the wrong reg no, which actually worked, and its going to be corrected during the online registration. i ld advice you try to know the actual wrong reg no. |

ENEMUS:the same thing happened to me...i studied Food Science and Tech but my JAMB admission letter bears Soil Science as my course of study (i was actually given Soil Science and Food Science during admission)...during clearance i was told to write a letter of ALTERNATIVE ADMISSION PLACEMENT in other to regularize the issue...i dont know if such a process is obtainable in your school. if you have 'admission unit' in your school, do well to go there and complain/ask questions. its really not something that should rob you of sleep...GOD go WIN 'at the day of the end' with these points of mine i hope i've been of help |

i this text message yesterday from my school (Ebonyi State uni.), "your name was forwarded to NYSC Abuja but was rejected. please come to EBSU student affairs with your JAMB Admission letter/Jamb Result. this exercise ends 12noon tomorrow". i cant make it to ebonyi state from lagos before 12noon today....i've arranged for someone to help me submit the required documents. GOD go WIN 'at the day of the end'. what else should i do (in addition to praying)? can anyone advice? |
