Yes it's true because in the north people farm it more than anything this year. up to now in Niger state a bag is 16k but last year like this time is 32k.

i bought three unpeeled sack.after peeled them i got 60 mudus all. thats 20 mudus per bag and i bought each bag 25k. i pay 1k per bag for peeling.yes it will come out white as the above one,in short thats the agusi i bought.

iam a farmer in niger state.therefore,i know alot about storage business.i will advice you to store agushi this year,you can buy it at very cheap price at 8k per bag in august and resell it at 20-30k later like this time.its also risk free product because it didnt spoil like that,like beans.

we all know agushi is scarce nowadays. today I decided to go round from zungeru,to begi, to paiko, to bida, to mokwa, to makera, to kaboji all in Niger state to look for agushi for one of my customer in nnewi.and luckly I got it.i bought some bags of unpeeled melon and take it to peeling machine. current price for hand peeled Milon is 1k3 per mudu and 25k for unpeeled bags. you see the agushi is not a something difficult to farm.but people neglect it farming because the price is not favourable for farmers in the last three years.in Niger state around August a bag of agushi unpeeled ones is 8k but now is 30k.and not even the 30k be the problem but getting it.its really scarce only people that store it have it now. but pls when you go back to Nassarawa update us with the current price there.
