here is the answers to ur questions.1- you can't not buy the land at that amount,iam paying 25k per year for four hectares as leased. the 37k per hectare is money for seed only,normally pioneer seed is the most expensive maize seed in Nigeria. 2-the urea is currently 7k5 per bag in our area and iam applying four 4 bags per hectare at week six. 3-iam not paying the pioneer officials for supervision,if you buy their seed,consultations and supervision is free.thanks

How's it gonna skyrocket very soon? Farmers are planting beans already and will start harvesting from early December. We are almost in September, when then will the beans skyrocket? Oct/Nov

pls ask him,some people in nairaland will be claiming i to know while they don't know anything about real farm practices. only online farmers.

like I said we are many,in a nutshell,we are like 10 in numbers below is one of my friend farm also

but trufully,a friend of my got 6.5 tons per hectare last year,that's is even what encourage me to plant the pioneer seed this year.

the reason why I open this thread is because iam finding it difficult to have the actual yield a farmer get from a hectare using pioneer seed.

now Iam not in the village where the farm is located but I will go back next week for second application of fertilizer that's urea at week 6

pls noted,we apply fertilizer (N.P.K 15:15:15) three bags per hectares that's 9bags for the three hectares

after the application of chemical, I leave for kontagora where I resided.I go back to the farm on 13 August 2019 and here is picture so far

after planting we apply gramazon and atrazine powder.

after making the ridges,I leave the land for two weeks before planting as instructed by pioneer inspector

here is the farm before planting

I used cows to make the ridges at 30k for whole farm

I planted one and half hectare on 20 July 2019 and I planted another one and half on 26 July 2019.

I bought planter double seeder from Lagos at 57k

iam in Niger state,therefore, my farm is located around mokwa-makera road,kwanan waigi precisely.

this year me and my friends decided to plant pioneer maize seed,we are many in our group.I will be updating from planting to harvest.I will also give the actual tons each of us get,I personally bought three hectares own at the rate of 37k per one hectare seed.
