The social media has been engrossed with dreadful threat to Nigerians since last weekend. The threat came shortly after the unceremonious return of our sick President, Gen Mohhamodu Buhari, who spent 52 days in a London hospital. Buhari’s long stay outside the country has warranted so many reactions and comments from Nigerians. While some Nigerians view it as an aberration and unimaginable disregard to the sanctity of the constitutional provisions, others maintained that the unmentionable silence of the senate is tolerable. Whatever must have been the case, Nigerians have started a fresh analysis of the Presidents sudden and unceremonious return to Nigeria. What are the fundamental factors that may had necessitated a seemingly unusual curiosity among Nigerians to ask some critically needed questions about the Presidents suspicious return? First, the manner of the Presidents return and how he was sneaked in without any government official at present to welcome him raised serious question tags. Some critically minded Nigerians have even rumoured that it was the need to sneak in the President through the back door, using the Kaduna airport that the orchestration to close the Abuja airport was eventuated. Again, there came the questionable and morally suspicious photos of the arrival of the President. The time given at which the President arrived was 4am but the photos were so clear and appeared like pictures taken at broad day light. But, the most curious situation was the comment that the Vice President Osibanjo will continue on acting capacity while the President continues to observe some rest. This, Nigerians challenged and reminded the President and his men that Aso Rock is not a place of rest but a serious abode for Nigeria’s seat of power. Until now, many Nigerians are still in doubt that the President has actually returned. Their doubts could be justified judging from the apparently visible indisposition of the President to engage actively since his return. One now wonders why Nigerians should be threatened with police arrest if anyone says anything to criticise the actions and inactions of Mr President. What is democracy all about? What is the spice of democracy without opposition? In the study of political science, it is taught that the existence of opposition is necessary for the achievement of democracy. Does this government wish to kill democratic principles, tennets and culture? Will they be allowed? NO! We can’t be intimidated to allow this government to destroy cherished democratic institutions and traditions, which are the fundamental essence of true leadership. Obviously, it is difficult to believe that this barbaric warning came from this change government that came to power through terribly unguided utterances and unhealthy criticisms all in the name of opposition politics. And I wonder how many Nigerians they will arrest. Another questionable aspect of this shameless threat is the fact that it claimed to have come from the Nigerian police. Do the police make laws? Have these people forgotten Nigerian is a country that has embraced FREEDOM ON INFORMATION cultures? If this government does not want harsh criticisms, then the President and his men must do the right thing at all times possible. source:http://www.igboglobalnews.com/2017/03/nigeria-on-speed-road-to-fascism.html

The best political solution for Ndigbo now designed for the future. Sack all Igbo political office holders currently in power.\ watch video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04iHuwzp_uw |
Watch video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8D2_Uq437vk NDIGBO have never had it this way before. For one thing is clear and certain, and that is, never before since after the war have an igbo been so proud as he is in today's Nigeria. Again, the presence of igbos are today also highly intimidating to others that they now ask:'why this sudden awakening of the igbo indomitable spirit?' But in the light of all these, one big challenge posses before the igbos - the igbo politicians! This highly infinitesimal population of NDIGBO are the greatest obstacle to igbo collective interest and aspirations. The igbo political society now have inside enemies piloting their political affairs and representing them at the national assembly. This we must change. The igbo people must have real igbos, who will govern them and represent them politically. |
A Must Watch Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zO5h7K5LV8 The present Nigeria is in a terrible bleak situation, politically. The elders and our fathers, who have been handling the country since independence have been most unpatriotic. The future of Nigeria in the hands of our current political class is dangerously uncertain and bleak. Our politicians have stolen Nigeria dry! Our youths are no longer positioned as a people that can chart or design a promising country for all encompassing prosperity. But with the advantages abound in today's digital world through the proper use of the social media, the Nigerian youths can come together to address their concerns and save Nigeria from total political annihilation. |
From the present economic realities, where the Nigerian inflation rate has reached as astronomical as 18:70percent, it is balanced to conclude that Nigerians were in high heavens during the political administration of Dr Goodluck Jonathan. Besides a galloping inflation, Nigeria is today a hell of a country for Nigerians. For one thing, more Nigerians have died within one and some months of Buhari's rule. At no time in our history as a country have we had this harvest of death as this current civilian regime of Gen Buhari. But how did this man without any quality that could attract the votes of any discerning electorate win a presidential election against a young educated man with all it takes to rule a country in this present digital world? The answer is simple and direct. It was because the man that contested against Buhari was a seemingly effeminate academic Doctor, who belongs to a political party called PDP, where its members were viciously greedy and complacent and recalcitrant; whose target was not to campaign for the electoral success of their party but to cart away millions of money budgeted for the elections. The members of PDP were relying on the manipulation of the elections for victory instead of wooing the voters. The selfish disposition of the PDP was what caused them the 2015 general elections. That was how a man who is yet to show Nigerians his school cert became our President. That was how Nigerians found themselves in this present predicament. That was when PDP failed Nigerians by not highlighting on the tremendous positive benefits of Jonathan's progressive political administration to Nigerians. That was how Tinubu and his followers mined on the achievements of Jonathan, thwarted everything to their own advantage and then sold the worst political product to gullible Nigerians. Yes, PDP failed us. Now, after the grievous electoral mistakes by Nigerians, an opportunity has presented itself form a natural source. The health fragility of Mr President IS that opportunity. But as is always the case, the Fulani ethnic group from where the President came are not ready to allow the provisions of the constitution to take preeminent. The President's party is also a hindrance to the application of Nigeria's constitution to assess the capacity of Buhari to remain presidential asset instead of a liability. This is the time Nigerians expect PDP to play the role of opposition political party, which is the beauty of a democratic government. This is the time PDP should ask critically required questions about the whereabouts of Mr President. Alas, all members of PDP have gone hiding, allowing nonpartisan Nigerians to play that paramountly needed role for them. By this singular unpatriotic action, the members of PDP have shown that they have no interest of the electorate at heart. All they want is easy and stress-free means to juicy political positions. They have failed us again. For them to redeem their presently battered image, they have to lead Nigerians to fish out the exact whereabouts of Mr President, Mohhamodu Buhari. In the beautiful adage of a tribe from Africa, 'men are never afraid of their belongings'. Five more days will make it one full month Nigerian President, Mohhamodu Buhari left for leave and medical Care in London. As required by law, Buhari obtained a constitutional order from the national assembly to empower his Vice, Professor Osibanjo to be President in acting capacity. Nigerians saw that the process of law was duly observed for the President's periodic absence from duty owing to health challenges since he assumed power as commander in Chief. But after President Buhari traveled, say two days of his departure, Nigerians were terrified by the news of Buhari's sudden demise in a UK hospital. This terrific news saturated the global social media within hours of its release. The Presidency in an attempt to dispel the news as fake, compounded the issue as so many conflicting information emanated from Buhari's media team. Nigerians were forced to question the true health condition of Mr President. To prove the President was heal and hearty, many ridiculous Photoshops were sent online, showing where Buhari and some notable members of his political party, who flew to London to visit him. In this seemingly brainless Photoshop production, President Buhari was also seen still wearing the same color of a cloth he wore last year the same team of party bigwigs visited him. This whole scenario only created fun for online visitors in Nigeria. But the whole political machinations took a melodramatic turnaround when the ten days of Mr President leave expired. Nigerians had expected the return of their President to end the untidy stories being hovered around concerning his fragile health condition. We were even informed that the President would come on Sunday to resume work on Monday. It was at that period that the bigger drama came to scene two. Nigerians were shocked to hear the Senate had approved a letter from Mr President requesting for an indefinite time of leave for more medical treatment. The letter for this second approval was written and signed and sent to the Senate on Sunday, an unofficial day and date. Yet, the Nigerian Senate approved the letter without reading it on the floor; thereby committing a grievous constitutional breech. Still on the same premise, the Senate action was totally incongruous with legislative ethics as Nigeria's constitution has no provision for indefinite time period for the President to be off duty. This irresponsible constitutional behaviour by the law makers has necessitated serious public outcry for President Buhari's whereabouts. The demand for Buharis whereabouts heightened when his media aid told Nigerians that Buhari was no longer in a London hospital but was observing rest in an undisclosed apartment. As this drama continues, many conclusions came from all quarters making derogatory positions about the President's health and possible death. In the desperate attempt to prove that Mr President was still alive and could talk, we are hearing and reading from the social media and the conventional media that our President Buhari has spoken with the American President, Mr Trump. This episode from this singular experiment has received highest hype from Nigeria government quarter. And this is why I am writing this piece. When has the act of a sick President speaking with American President become a sign of recovery from sickness? How does a doubtful conversation between Buhari and Trump answer the curious questions of Nigerians on the incapacitated health condition of Buhari to rule Nigeria? Could it have been better for Buhari to talk to Trump instead of Nigerians from whose personal income taxes and resources his hospital bills are PAID? Is Buhari still Nigeria's President? If the answer is yes, where is Buhari? What is happening in today's Nigeria? Is Nigeria a country that is still ruled by its constitution? Where are the men in Nigeria, and what are they afraid of? Why is PDP not talking or asking critically required questions as the major opposition political party in the country? Why are the Yorubas quite? Why is Fayose not lamenting on this serious national disorder? Why has Fani Kayode not written about this thwarting of our construction? What are Nigerians afraid of? Are there still Nigerians who believe in Nigeria? These and more questions we shall continue to ask until a satisfied answer is provided.
