PhonesRe: For The Few Who Know What Really Matters. by Shawn29(m): 11:29pm On Aug 31, 2025
Thier phones are always so durable
Titobliss:
Don't share this. The realmeC71 is a phone for a very specific type of person. It's not for those who are easily swayed by marketing jargon or a million cameras you'll never use. This is for the people who are tired of overpaying for phones that offer nothing but a fancy price tag.

The secret is simple: The realmeC71 gives you a massive 6.72" 120Hz display for an incredible viewing experience and a battery that just keeps going. And the price? Let's just say it's so low that the big brands probably don't want you to know about it.

This phone is for the smart, savvy consumer who understands that true value isn't about the biggest numbers on a spec sheet—it's about a reliable device that won't let you down.

So, go ahead and keep scrolling if you want to. We'll be over here, enjoying a high-quality phone that didn't empty our bank account. This isn't for everyone, and that's okay.
PhonesRe: Let's Talk About You! by Shawn29(m): 11:27pm On Aug 31, 2025
I like that thier phones are really affordable, despite the high specs
AdedejiAdesewa:
Forget everything you think you know about realme in Nigeria.
They're not just another phone brand that showed up to compete. They're changing the game because they figured out what truly matters to us. In a country where we're always on the move, a phone that can last all day is gold. And realme's C-series with its massive batteries? They practically handed us a cheat code. You don't have to worry about looking for a charging port in the middle of a Lagos traffic jam or during a long day of hustling.

But it’s not just about the battery. They didn't compromise on the user experience. They brought features like smooth, high-refresh-rate displays to budget phones, making scrolling and browsing feel incredible. This kind of tech used to be a luxury for the privileged, but now it's accessible to everyone.

And let's not forget the style. realme phones don't look like boring, generic slabs of plastic. Their designs are fresh, bold, and they make a statement. Your phone is a part of your identity, and realme gets that.

In a market filled with brands that overcharge for a logo and a few extra features you'll never use, realme is the brand that gives you real power and style for a price that makes sense. They're a new kind of phone company for a new generation of Nigerians who are ready to "Dare to Leap."
PhonesRe: The Flex Of Having A Good Phone Battery by Shawn29(m): 11:26pm On Aug 31, 2025
Nice, design looks cool
Leilalee:
You know that confidence you carry when your phone battery lasts all day without you begging someone for a charger or hunting for a socket like it’s life support? 😅

That’s a real flex. Imagine going through lectures, work, or even a long trip without your phone dipping into “low battery” panic mode. No power bank, no stress just pure vibes.

Truth is, battery life is one of the most underrated specs in a phone. People hype camera and design, but once NEPA takes light, it’s only those with solid batteries that can still scroll, chat, binge movies, or even hotspot others.

That’s why I respect what realme did with the C71they slapped in a massive 6000mAh battery that can comfortably last up to 2 days on a single charge. One full charge and you’re good to go, whether you’re grinding, chilling, or traveling.

So tell me do you think a strong battery is the ultimate phone flex, or do you rate other specs higher? Honestly, battery health should be top priority when choosing a new phone.
PhonesRe: Budget Phones Have Leveled Up — My Experience With The realme C75x by Shawn29(m): 10:48pm On Aug 24, 2025
Thankfully its so much better now, and its good realme is making it possible too
Desewa08:
A few years ago, if you were buying a “budget phone”, you knew what to expect:
‎– Weak cameras
‎– Laggy performance
‎– Battery that couldn’t last a day
‎– Maybe even heating issues

‎So when I saw the realme C75x getting hype for under ₦180K, I didn’t expect much. I just wanted something I could use daily without worrying if it would survive life in Nigeria but this phone honestly surprised Mlme. After 3 weeks of use, I’m genuinely impressed:

‎• Display – 6.67" HD+ with 120Hz refresh rate. I thought 120Hz was overhyped until I tried it... scrolling feels buttery smooth.

‎• Performance – Helio G81 Ultra chipset, 8GB RAM. Multitasking is super fluid. No stutters, even switching between heavy apps.
‎• Battery – 5600mAh lasts me 1.5 to 2 days easily. I watch YouTube, scroll socials, even play light games. No stress.

‎• Charging – 45W Fast Charge. About 90 minutes from 0 to 100%. You blink and it’s charged.

‎• Design – I got the Oceanic Blue variant. It doesn’t look cheap at all. People keep asking if it’s over ₦250K.

‎Features I didn’t expect at this price
‎Some little things that shocked me:
‎– It runs Android 15 with realme UI 5
‎– Face Unlock + Side Fingerprint work crazy fast
‎– IP69 rating! This thing is waterproof, dust-resistant and drop-resistant (I’ve tested it 😅)

‎All this at ₦171,000. I can’t lie, budget phones are no longer what they used to be. This is a solid midrange experience in disguise.

‎What I Gained with the C75x
‎For ₦171,000 I got:
‎– Peace of mind
‎– Solid battery life
‎– Modern OS (Android 15)
‎– A rugged phone that doesn’t need a case every second
‎– And a phone I can actually use for more than 2 years.

‎That’s value. No bragging rights but at least I’m not borrowing power bank every 6 hours.

‎So I ask... Which Would You Choose Now?
‎In 2025, the lines are getting blurry. Some budget phones now offer better overall daily experience than aging flagships... especially if you value battery, updates and durability.

‎I also know that not everyone will agree. So over to you:
‎What are you using now and why?
‎Would you go for a solid new phone like C75x or a used iPhone/Samsung flagship?

‎Let’s have a proper debate

PhonesRe: Budget Phone Vs Used Flagship In 2025 — Which Makes More Sense? by Shawn29(m): 10:46pm On Aug 24, 2025
I choose new everytime
Desewa08:
For years I was team “Buy used flagship”.
‎Why? Because:
‎– You get better cameras
‎– Faster processors
‎– Bragging rights (let’s be honest 😅)

‎But those used phones? Battery is often weak. No warranty. Sometimes they’ve been opened or refurbished without your knowledge. So I tried something different this time: bought a new budget phone instead... the realme C75x.

‎Why I Chose It Over a Used Flagship:
‎I almost went for a used Galaxy S20 FE or iPhone SE 2020 but I thought:

‎“Why not try something new, with warranty, that’s built for 2025?”

‎The C75x gave me:
‎– 8GB RAM
‎– 128GB ROM
‎– Android 15
‎– 120Hz display
‎– IP69 water & dust protection
‎– Massive 5600mAh battery
‎– Fast charge (0-100% in 90 mins)

‎And most importantly… I don’t need to worry about battery health or whether it was used in 4 countries before it reached me 😭. The Cold Truth About Used Flagships is I’ve owned used flagships before and while they shine in some areas (especially camera), here’s the honest truth:
‎ • Battery never lasts like new
‎ • Heating issues are common
‎ • No software updates after a while
‎ • Repairs? Good luck finding the right part or original screen

‎And let’s not forget that water splash or drop can be the end if it's already compromised.

‎Just wanted to share my experience because I think budget phones are finally catching up.

‎If you’ve used the C75x or any other budget device recently that shocked you in a good way... share your experience in the comments
PhonesRe: Budget Phones In 2025 Are Not Playing Fair — Here’s Proof by Shawn29(m): 10:45pm On Aug 24, 2025
Yea the realme brand are really making it convenient in price for us
Bomboy1016:
Just a few years ago, a ₦200k phone would come with compromise.
But in 2025? Devices in that range are blowing minds.

Here’s why budget smartphones are winning big this year:

Let’s talk about the realme C75x
For a device that’s considered “mid-range,” it packs a serious punch:
– 120Hz display
– 5000mAh battery
– 45W fast charging
– IP54-rated splash resistance
– Mini Capsule 3.0 for smart notifications

All this — and it still sits below ₦210k. That’s wild.

💡 But it’s not just about specs…
It’s about experience. The phone runs smoothly, feels premium in the hand, and looks like something twice its price.

📷 The camera performance? Sharp.
🔋 Battery life? All-day.
💨 Charging? Blazing fast.
🌧️ Build quality? Durable.

Other brands like TECNO, Infinix, and Redmi are trying — but the C75x is setting the standard.

So what changed?
– Better processors are now cheaper
– Competition among brands is fierce
– Gen Z and students want value not just hype

The result?
Phones like the C75x now offer a premium experience without destroying your budget.

If you’re shopping for a new phone in 2025, pause and take a good look at what’s happening in the mid-range lane.

Because these so-called “budget phones” are not basic anymore — they’re quietly taking over.

📌 Have you experienced any of the new-gen midrange phones?
📱 Could you see yourself rocking the C75x this year?

Let’s hear your thoughts 👇

Yes, for the right price and spec, The C75 looks like a great option
Darklantern:
Hey everyone! Let's talk about value for money in smartphones. We've all been there - wanting the latest and greatest features without breaking the bank.

But can you really get flagship features on a budget? I've been checking out some phones lately, and I'm blown away by the realme C75 and realme C75x. These phones pack some serious features that are usually found on more expensive devices.

First off, the durability features on these phones are impressive. They have an IP69 rating, which means they can withstand extreme temperatures, dust, and even water pressure. That's not all - they also have a robust build quality that can handle rough handling. Whether you're working outdoors or just want a phone that can keep up with your active lifestyle, these phones have got you covered.

But what really caught my attention is the fast charging capability. With 45W fast charging, you can quickly top up your battery and get back to using your phone. No more waiting around for hours for your phone to charge - these phones can go from 0 to 50% in just a few minutes.

And let's not forget about the battery life. Both the realme C75 and realme C75x have large battery capacities that can easily last a day or more on a single charge. Whether you're a heavy user or just want a phone that can keep up with your daily activities, these phones have the battery life to match.

Let's talk about value for money in smartphones and figure out what's possible! Maybe we can even discover some hidden gems or tips that can help us get the most out of our phones.
PhonesRe: Is Realme C75x Battery Life Actually Reliable? My 3-day Experience by Shawn29(m): 10:40pm On Aug 24, 2025
The convenience of having a long lasting battery will forever be the best thing
Angelpraise123:
I recently spent a few days testing the Realme C75x, and I wanted to see how the battery holds up in real life — no hype, just practical use.

---

🔋 Battery Performance – Solid Enough for Daily Use

The phone packs a 5,600mAh battery, which is pretty generous compared to many phones in this price range.

With my typical use — WhatsApp, streaming YouTube, browsing, occasional hotspot — it comfortably lasted a full day. On some lighter days, it even stretched into the next morning.

It’s not an immortal battery, so if you’re a heavy gamer or always on max brightness and 5G, you’ll still need to recharge daily.

---

⚡ Charging Speed – Decent for the Price

The C75x supports 45W fast charging — noticeably faster than basic chargers but not ultra‑fast like flagship models.

In my testing, it took roughly an hour to get from 15% to full charge. No excessive heat or charging issues.

---

✅ Final Thoughts

For anyone who just wants a phone that won’t leave them scrambling for a charger midday, the Realme C75x battery feels dependable. It’s not magic, but it’s solid for moderate users and makes life easier without a power bank every minute.

StellaGirlie:
Hey everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick update based on the last thread I created about finding a good budget phone gift for my special someone.

After going back and forth, doing some digging, and asking around, I finally settled for the realme C75X. I honestly just wanted to try something new. The brand seems to be quietly rising, and the specs looked promising for the price. It feels like one of those “let’s just see how it goes” moments 😅. I’ll definitely be sharing updates or reviews on how it performs once my friend who uses it gives me the full rundown.

Also, a big thank you to everyone who dropped laptop suggestions, super helpful!

For the laptop, I ended up going with the HP 250 G8. It struck a nice balance between performance and price. I was also considering Dell or Lenovo, but HP just seemed easier to find and fits the main things I needed (lightweight, good battery, and can handle basic work stuff smoothly).

Feel free to keep the suggestions coming especially if you’ve used any of the devices I mentioned. And I’ll be sure to come back here with updates in case anyone’s in the same situation and needs real-life feedback before buying.

Thanks again 🙏🏽

PhonesRe: When Buying A Phone, Do You Care About The Colour Or You Just Pick Whatever? by Shawn29(m): 10:34pm On Aug 24, 2025
The colour matters alot to me
onlyedwin:
I was just thinking about this today… 🤔 When you walk into a phone shop to buy a new device, do you just grab any colour that’s available, or are you the type that must get your preferred colour even if it means waiting or paying extra?

I remember when I got my phone I wanted black, told them and they said it was out of stock, I felt really disappointed and was almost ready to walk away because they didn't have it then miraculously they found a black in their store room. So it got me thinking about the colours phones come in a little more and if it matters to people as it did me.

And yunno these days, phone brands are really giving us variety. Gone are the days when it was just boring black, silver or white. Now we see:

iPhone 15 in Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Black

Samsung Galaxy S24 in Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow

Tecno Camon 30 with Glacier Glow and Iceland Basaltic Dark, Camon 40 Glacier white and Emerald lake green

Infinix Zero Ultra in Coslight Silver and Genesis Noir, Note 50 in titanic grey and shadow black

realme C61 in forest green, C75x in Coral pink and oceanic blue, C71 in forest owl or black night

Really interesting colours right? (See names nau😂). The colours alone sometimes make you fall in love with the phone before even checking the specs. ✨So my people, how do you buy your phones?

-Any colour as long as the phone is available?
-Or you’re colour-conscious like me and will wait until you find that perfect shade?

Let’s gist. 😅 For me sha I must get my colour o, it has to be something I love.

Probably the duration time and efficiency
StellaGirlie:
Is IP69 the highest rating for waterproof phones? And how does that compare to IP67 or IP68?

Like the C75 with ip69 ratings, its totally proof
Khay2:
Let’s talk about something that still confuses a lot of people—the difference between water-resistant and waterproof phones.

I’ve seen so many people treat their phones like they’re waterproof just because it says “IP68” or “IP69” on the spec sheet. But honestly, there’s a big difference.

Here’s a quick breakdown:
🔹 Water-resistant = Can handle light splashes, rain, or short accidental drops in water.
🔹 Waterproof = Can survive full submersion, but no phone is truly waterproof forever.

I recently came across the realme brand, particularly the realmeC75, and from what I’ve read, it has an IP69 rating, which is impressive, especially for a midrange phone. I haven’t used it personally, but I’ve seen people say it holds up well around water and dust. Still, I don’t think I’d be brave enough to test any phone in a swimming pool, even if it’s rated that high 😂

Sometimes brands advertise water protection, but people forget it’s more for accidental stuff—like rain, handwashing splashes, or sweaty pockets—not deep diving or recording underwater TikToks 😅

So I’m curious:
🔸 Have you ever mistakenly treated your phone like it was waterproof?
🔸 Do you check for IP ratings when buying a new device?
🔸 And if anyone here has actually used the realme C75, how water-resistant is it in real-life use?

Personally, I think water resistance is great for peace of mind, especially in a country like Nigeria where dust, rain, and “accidents” are a regular part of life.

Let’s clear up the confusion, what do YOU think the difference is between water-resistant and waterproof?

💡 I’ll also drop a short IP rating explanation in the comments for anyone who wants to understand the numbers better.

Budget phones are no longer just about basic use anymore. In 2025, even devices under
₦200k or within the range are packing features like fast charging, high-refresh-rate screens, and large memory. Right now, three popular models are trending on the market:

So If you had to choose between the Tecno Spark 40 Pro, the Infinix Hot 60, or the realme C75x — which would you rather use?

Let’s break them down based on what actually matters day-to-day.

Battery & Charging

The Spark 40 Pro carries 5200mAh and Hot 60 carry a 5160mAh battery.

realme C75x steps slightly ahead with a 5330mAh capacity.

While the Hot 60, Spark 40 Pro and C75x has faster 45W charging, realme’s 45W SUPERVOOC tech is proven and stable — known for safe and efficient charging.

For someone who’s on the move a lot, the Realme C75 quietly offers more endurance and charging safety.

Display & Design

Spark 40 Pro gives you a 6.78" LCD at 120Hz.

Hot 60 pushes it up to 6.82", also 120Hz.

realme C75x offers a 6.72" screen at 120Hz, but with much better clarity and edge-to-edge visuals.

Performance & User Experience

Tecno and Infinix are both rocking MediaTek G-series chips — Helio G88 and G91 Ultra respectively while the realme C75x uses the Snapdragon 680.

Now if you know tech, you already understand Snapdragon chips age better and are more efficient. Less heat, smoother background app management, and fewer slowdowns over time. It also plays nicer with updates.

All three come with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage, so you’re covered for apps and photos. But in terms of real-world usage — like switching between apps, battery efficiency, and long-term performance — Snapdragon has a track record of staying stable over time.

realme UI also runs lighter than HiOS and XOS, meaning less lag and fewer background ads.

Camera

All three have a 50MP AI rear cameras, but the Spark 40 Pro and Hot 60 have strong selfie shooters (32MP each) which is great for those who love snapping selfies or video calling, then the realme C75x opts for an 8MP front cam, but compensates with better post-processing and stabilization in low light — something noticeable when you’re indoors or at night.

Durability & IP Rating

This is one of the areas where differences really start to show.

Tecno Spark 40 Pro – IP64 rated: Protected against dust and light water splashes

Infinix Hot 60 – IP64 rated as well: Fair enough for daily spills and dust

realme C75x – IP69 rated: That’s top-tier resistance, meaning it can handle heavy water splashes, dust, and even pressure from short water jets — something you don’t usually get in this price range

For you clumsy lots who falls their phones or just occasional kitchen/table accidents, the C75x stands out for being rugged. It quietly gives peace of mind that most budget phones skip over.

Here’s how the starting prices compare for the three models:

Tecno Spark 40 Pro – ₦221,000

Infinix Hot 60 – ₦223,000

realme C75x – ₦180,000

Sometimes it’s not about loud specs. It’s about how the phone actually behaves after 6 months of use. And on that note... I know where I’m leaning. Do you?

So, which one would you rather use? Let’s hear your choice!
