It's ideal to use yourself as consignee since the vehicle is yours. Not bad though if you have a trusted agent, but, not always advisable because the name on the original bill of lading is a tittle of ownnership. Meaning, dubious people can claim it. And in case of theft or lost of document, how do you match your ID with the name on the vehicle papers to claim it?
