These cars are due to arrive in january 2015 (I understand a 35% duty and 35% levy will be applicable by then)

You can only get a range value by now; both are subject to valuation confirmation.

A copy of your BOL will be a good guide.

the vessel arrived this afternoon and had difficulty berthing due to a faulty vessel. It should have been resolved by now and offloading should have began.


That is next week job for sure, but, no more delay!

According to current information, yes. Fed. Govt. Is taking all tariff paid on imported vehicles to 70% (35% duty and 35% levy) by Jan 1st 2015. There's a patial implementation of it already (70% on 2013 and 2014 models with low mileage)

PS: who knows, anything could happen before then. To be on safe side, avoid shipping close to next year. People should know that govt may start implementation ealier than the date anounced; this is not new. Just my opinion.
