Containerised vs RO-RO

Delivery, RO-RO is swift, an average of 2-3 days to clear while containerised may be a bit longer, perhaps 5-7days. It could be cleared within same time frame with RO-RO though, but not usual. Only TICT is in my experience I have delivered within 3days.

Please note, the problem with containerised is not majorly in the process, but ability of the terminal operator to drop your container for examination immediately request is made. Especially when there is high cargo traffic. APM Terminal is mostly where this happen.

Having a tough decision to chose between RO-RO or containerised? The following may help

Cost wise, RORO is more pocket friendly than containerised when compare cost of clearing per vehicle, but, containerised allows for more loads to be stock along side which often offsets the cost difference. This is of particular benefits to cars ship from US

I guess you're referring to the vehicles. You may get buyers on the spot while offloading but not always the case.

Options: place the cars under a dealer to sell for you. But may be delay a bit due to possible higher price.

2. Network and get someone in need of these vehicles from now

3. Handle the sale yourself or with a trusted relative.

It would not be wrong to start advertising from now? This forum is a good option.

Yes. If the 'shipping' you refer to is the shipping agency here in Nigeria and not oversea to Nigeria freight.

Load - 350
