I think the Nigerian constitution is very faulty on this. If truly the executive and legislature are independent, then they shouldn't have to wait for a governor to inaugurate them to make them assume duty. They won elections and received certificate of return so why should anybody prevent them from working?

Just try to ensure the PhD is funded. It's not easy to do a full-time PhD in the UK without any kind of funding even partial, as you will need lots of time commitment especially if your supervisory team are very demanding. Remember you have to pay fees, house rent for a flat, bills and still feed if you have children. What your spouse earns as dependent may not be enough to go round for all of you.

He was governor of Anambra and by implication the visitor to the Anambra State University. Please tell me if he increased the wages of the lecturers there to a reasonable standard during his time as governor. Or is it now he is out of power he realizes lecturers salaries are peanuts?

The problem I have with Obi is that he talks like someone that isn't part of the system. For God's sake this guy was a governor for 8 good years. The Anambra house of assembly where he could have made changes from, did he reduce the millions they were earning per month while ANSU lecturers were being paid #150k?
