eagleonearth: Christ Jesus told you in the Bible that you playing church will be there and prostitutes cum agbero will enter heaven ahead of you. Contextually, the so called club girls can be much of what a man seeks for. Most of the club girls that quickly settle down know the routes to a man's heart. That friendly auntie might sting you when you have a personal relationship with her. Virginity also enter their heads and make them hang their shoulders till it becomes late. Any humble and marriageable lady do not cross 30 before getting married unless she is a single mother. Go and verify! I was agreeing with you until you got to the bolded. Its just like saying only the hardworking gets rich. We all know its not the case especially in Nigeria. There's time and chance |

Many times its never the case of waywardness. Just destiny Growing up, I knew one aunty who married as A VIRGIN at almost 40. Very friendly aunty. Just destiny |

Marriage is 50:50. If you meet a good person, you are made. If you meet the opposite, you are doomed. Many times better to be single but people will never understand. Societal pressure too is not helping. Only the strong stand FIRM. Marriage is BLISSFUL BUT to the right person |

Nope in some finapps, when you are about to transfer names appear (and note sometimes the app/phone may lag). She might have in the process and in haste transferred money to the church without checking the name or waiting for the phone/app to finish lagging/loading. As i dey type this thing sef i dey laugh. Clature: South Africans are harsh oh, nawa, can never be affiliated with them in anyway but I must commend them for giving it to us hard, asides the killings, that one is a stretch.
The truth is “most” Nigerians are animals; yesterday I was driving in Abuja and someone threw out a fairly sized bag of trash from their car onto the road, I was perplexed. Same yesterday and as always, I obeyed a traffic stop sign and the drivers behind me were not having it, of course they were ignored.
Let’s keep playing and I know some people will still hop on a flight to South Africa tonight.
We will remain global pariahs until we are all ready to sit and fix up. The first bolded is rather a pathetic statement from you. Yes there are the crazy ones tarnishing the image of this country but do you know that Nigerian nationals working for (transferred to) SA were humiliated (if not killed?) A video of a doctor who was ordered out of the hospital (for being a Nigerian) has been circulating. Na dem use their hand post am sef. A specialist oh for that matter. The BEST outsourced from NIGERIA (He dey him own o). You saying "they are giving it to us hard" is rather sad of you. At the second bolded, you are not the only good and law abiding citizen. nedekid: Oga if our economy was doing well as you claim under baba, Nigerians wount have ran to South Africa and other countries to go be a nuisance over there, how many south African citizens can you count in Nigeria? The reason Nigerians have gone on exodus abroad is because of the poverty this man has inflicted on citizens by a factor of 10. Ie if you earned 100k few years ago you have to earn 1m to place you on the same status!. Who stabilized economy? Someone destroyed it then you say he stabilized what he destroyed through his apc? Oga Nigeria is currently seen as a shame of a country, even Trump called it a disgrace, should I now because I want to be patriotic disagree with reality? Don't you have Facebook? Go and see how other Africans make fun of us expecially when videos of blablablu is shown making his incoherent speeches. They wonder if it is AI, some especially SAs will say baba seyi till 2050,others will feel pity for Nigerians. Tell me when in modern history Nigerians have fled the county more than the last 10 years of his apc? I know stunch apc supporters that left to go start life again abroad at over 50y, I know another one infact I saw his fb page yesterday talking of those never see good, wailers that will complain about cement price but others are building. I just laughed, why, this same guy has recently been ragging me seriously for assistance that hunger de, infact I recently sent him some money, a very very stunch apc supporter and community leader, those ones continuously disparaging other aspirants primarily based on tribal issues. Should I be patriotic when under apc and baba Nigeria has broken records as the country with the lowest life expectancy in the world, as in worse than Bangladesh, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, C.A.R etc? Or that students cannot afford university education because the fees has drastically increased, as a guyman they then boast of nalfund loan to give the students at interest to use to pay the increased fees and burdened with debt? Why not instead fund the schools with the money abi is it the interest their eyes is focused on? From your first paragraph I already knew where you were driving at. Let me school you today: Migration will always occur (whether the economy is good or not). 2. Do you know your almighty Canada is experiencing MASS EMIGRATION of its original citizens? Shocked? As a result of this emigration, the government decided to open its borders to immigrants of lower privileged and developed nations, replacing their EMIGRATED citizens. So whilst their citizens emigrate to the USA for a better life (e.g. the likes of Drake etc.) Immigrants are welcomed to replace this emigrants. To we nigerians, their economy is a "wow" but to them their economy is TRASH (reason they leave). 3. You are the first (number 1) agent of change if want your country to grow. Do you say how? I'll school you today (I have the time): I. By defending your country in times like this (whether convenient or not). II. By leading by example I.e been honest in your business dealings with people. Do you inflate figures? use fake measures? defraud? etc. You have to change. This single act(s) have multiplier effects how? - These politicians thrive in corruption because they know YOU ARE CORRUPT. They are a perfect representation of you. You ask them for your own national cake (how do you think they get this national cake to give to you). Where they notice that YOU Nigerians are no more corrupt, THEY WILL CHANGE to ensure that they are generally accepted in order to secure their political jobs. This model is evident as it is seen in the messages of "pastors" today (haven observed that Nigerians are becoming woke) . They emphasize less on tithes and offerings, preach humanity, wokeness, financial prosperity (which wasn't a norm before). These they have begun to do in order to earn public ACCEPTANCE. Why haven't these politicians followed suit? Because where they do, they'll be ostracized by people like you (for being too prudent). At the end, if we want a TRUE CHANGE in Nigeria, e go touch everybody. Since this is what you want, start from yourself and watch how you infect and affect others positively (a multiplier effect that will lead to a great change in this country). Let it start WITH YOU FIRST. You have no country other than Nigeria and you MUST do all you can to protect, promote and BUILD it. |

nairalanda1: For people wondering why I am taking the side of those who want the schools concessioned, here is why
Our unity schools have been a mess for years. As I mentioned in a post above, I lost a friend who went to one of those schools who fell sick because the hygeine was awful. One of my other friends suffered for one year in a unity school before she ran back home. The schools are a mess. I also had siblings who went to unity schools as day students, and who heard horror tales from their boarding school mates.
That's why I support concessioning. I have supported the idea ever since it was mooted by the Yaradua admin, and I was sad when it was withdrawn. I am happy it is being brought back again.
Funding for our unity schools is very poor...see as it be for the last several years
SAUCE
At 155 billion naira, that means each unity school gets 1.3 billion on average. KCOBA , the people taking over King's college in the PPA for the school, have gotten 100 billion naira to improve things already. 100 billion naira.
I am not happy it has come to this, but waiting for government to increase funding for education is going to be a fake and long wait. And yes, poor kids are going to lose out...though this is where society can come in with community scholarships and things like that, even all our rich churches. But right now, we are faced with a serious connundrum. Either schools get concessioned, or the poor are going to keep going to poor ass schools, and eventually lose out to the rich kids who go to nice rich schools in the job market
There is no easy answer. Calling me government supporter shows you do not want to think about the problem. I didn't even bother to read all your Epistle (as if Chris land, deeper life and other elitist schools have not had their time). Just pure wickedness. No be only scholarship. Scholarship that would be siphoned chai! Human being! |

Richtaiwo: Personally, I believe Unity Colleges should be scrapped. It is difficult to justify preserving institutions whose greatest beneficiaries spend their entire lives insulting the very government that sustains them. When an institution outlives its purpose and becomes little more than a relic defended by entitlement and hypocrisy, preserving it for nostalgia is simply institutional laziness.
The same argument applies to the NYSC, when the original purpose disappears, the honest question is not how to preserve the monument, but why we are still worshipping its ruins. I see you're not a unity school product. That is a national heritage. Unity schools have produced BETTER PRODUCTS, better than many of these international schools. Unity has helped the average child from an average home to be able to get QUALITY EDUCATION FIT FOR THE ELITIST (as it was originally designed and still functions). Omo enemies of the nigerian masses plenty o. I no blame you. E no affect you. PRO UNITATE!!! |

nedekid: Guy you funny, why are you taking pepper on their behalf, did they tell you they need competent working population or even investors? If their people are not competent to deliver how is it our business here in Tinubu's Nigeria? Oga remove eye from SA and rather focus on naija. Hope you know our gdp has dropped to 190b while that is SA is 500b, from previous 1st position we are now 5 largest economy in Africa. Tinubu is not a saint but the economy has been stable since 2023. Immediately he entered, everything went haywire because of his removal of fuel subsidy (which I would say was rather untimely) but ever since then, it has been somewhat stable compared to buharis where prices of commodities were increasing EVERY WEEK. I'm not even a fan of politics as such but aren't you "as a good Nigerian" supposed to defend your country HERE? You think they dont have even more pathetic and pressing issues? Racism, apartheid even in their own land? You think they will bring such discussions here? Can you go to their platforms to comfortably talk about them (negatively)? They would DECIMATE YOU. Nigerians were killed. Professionals DISPLACED. Even folks working for international organizations WITH VALID PASSPORTS. And you come here to act as a sell out? Praising their economy despite how they treat Nigerians with disdain? Please change |
