Ibrahim Magu who happens to be the Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission "EFCC" was allegedly held captive at police force headquarters overnight in Abuja as he was been questioned late at night by the presidential panel.

Ibrahim was questioned on the allegation of abuse of office impunity and corruption by a presidential panel led by the former President of the Court of Appeal, Ayo Salami after his arrest on Monday in Abuja

According to a report by Cable, the EFCC boss "Ibrahim Magu" was interrogated by the panel until 10 pm on Monday before he was ordered to be detained overnight for questioning to continue on Tuesday.

Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Magu over very weighty allegations -Attorney General of the Federation 'Abubakar Malami' said.

Some of these allegations include;
inconsistency in the settlement records of the EFCC on recovered funds
Disclosing  investigative reports to the media before going to court
Sale of seized assets to cronies, associates, and friends
Shortage of N35 billion in his announcement  of recovered funds
disobedience to the AGF
Not providing enough evidence for the deportation of Diezani Alison-Madueke
disregard court order to unfreeze an N7 billion judgment in favor of a suspect

Abel Mwelwa in a statement that the manner in which Lusaka Diocese Archbishop Alec Banda has handled the matter is unfair.

“I would like to assure you that all is well. My soul is at rest. Knowing that the justice of God is on my side. I have no bitterness against the manner in which this was handled. I allow God to deal with the matter,” Dr. Mwelwa said. He also claimed that Monica Mulenga died in the hospital of Acute Pneumonia as the postmortem results indicated.

“God has his ways. Thank you for your brotherhood and support. Let it be known that the person died almost a month ago,” he said. He added, “All was quiet until my Bishop decided to instruct some priests to circulate a communique of my suspension to all priests and religious. The communique is also addressed to the lay faithful. What a way of dealing with matters.

” “The result of such a miscalculated decision is what has brought this media frenzy. Has there been a time in the Catholic Church when the suspension of a priest is material for everyone? If not, the question is why has this been handled this way? Maybe we shall have answers in Heaven,’ he said. “I thought I should share with you what has happened. God’s Justice May take long, but it surely does come.”

A policeman attached to the Rivers State Task Force team on Thursday killed by a policewoman while trying to enforce the movement restriction put in place by the state government to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the city.

Two men living in the same compound got into a fight during the lockdown in Enugu and it was messy. The men – Divine and Nonso – had a disagreement and neighbors tried to intervene but it soon spiraled out of control and they took the fight outside in full view of neighbors. A group of suspected teenage robbers cried for mercy as they were tortured after they were allegedly caught robbing in Ikotun, Lagos. Residents of Igando and Ikotun in Lagos State fearfully kept vigil on Monday night, April 13, as robbers reportedly went from house to house.

President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that any Federal Government worker not captured on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) by Oct. 31 would not be paid salary. He made the disclosure to the joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja on Tuesday.
