Over the years they’ve built up a smorgasboard of festive snaps, which have become more overblown as the family has slowly risen up the celebrity food chain. A series of intimate behind-the-scenes photos aboard Air Force One have revealed the moment George W. Bush proudly showed off his artwork to Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama – and they look impressed.
Other images reveal him sharing a joke with the president and casually chatting ahead of dinner as they flew to South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s memorial service.
The luxury aircraft hosted a political reunion on Monday, as the two Presidents and three first ladies - Laura Bush, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton – were on board.
The Obamas retired to the President’s office and regular cabin at the front of the plane while former Secretary of State Clinton was given free reign of the senior staff’s cabin. Bush and his wife Laura were given the medical suite.

She has not been seen on a movie set since it was announced she underwent a preventative double mastectomy following the discovery that she had an 87% chance of developing breast cancer.

But on Sunday, Angelina Jolie stepped back onto the set of her latest project Unbroken, a film which she is directing.

It appears to be the first time that the 38-year-old actress has been back in the movie world since her brave decision, and the star looked elegant in a long skirt and blouse as she talked to crew members in Los Angeles.

Angelina's decision to undergo the operation sent shock-waves around the world when it was revealed earlier this year.

Following the announcement the star made an appearance on the red carpet in the summer, supporting her husband Brad Pitt's movie World War Z.

But now it seems the star is concentrating solely on her own career, as she directs her new movie which has been written by the Coen Brothers.

In this recipe, the broccoli pairs wonderfully with the toasted almonds, bacon, peas, and onion. We use honey and vinegar in the dressing to add some sweet and sour to the mix.

The problem with most broccoli salads is the broccoli – the raw broccoli. Some people like raw broccoli while others don’t.

So, how to make a broccoli salad if you don’t like raw broccoli? The solution –

Blanch the broccoli for 1 minute, or no more than two minutes. The broccoli will still be firm enough for your salad, the color will be even prettier, because blanching brings out the green, and the taste will be less raw and more cooked.





Prep time: 20 minutes



Ingredients

1 teaspoon salt
5-6 cups fresh broccoli florets (about 1 pound of florets)
peeled orange
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
1/4 cup of red onion, chopped
1 cup of frozen peas, thawed (or fresh peas if you can get them)

1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup honey


Direction



1 Bring a large pot of water, salted with a teaspoon of salt, to a boil. Add the broccoli florets. Cook 1-2 minutes, depending on how crunchy you want the broccoli.

Set your timer and do not cook for more than 2 minutes, or the broccoli will get mushy.

Drain the broccoli and immediately put into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Let cool and drain.

2 Combine broccoli florets, almonds, crumbled bacon, orange,chopped onion, and peas in a large serving bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, cider vinegar and honey. Add dressing to the salad and toss to mix well.

Chill thoroughly before serving.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones have revealed they have separated to ‘evaluate and work on their marriage’ but will a permanent split lead to a bitter battle over money?

The 68-year-old actor and his Welsh wife confirmed on Wednesday they have separated after months of living separate lives.

Whilst the couple are yet to file for divorce, their rumoured multi-million dollar pre-nup and division of assets accumulated within their 13-year union cannot be far from either star's mind.

Whilst the couple have not moved towards a legal separation, if the split does lead to a divorce Catherine is set to be well looked after, with the pair signing a pre-nup ahead of their wedding in 2000.

According to the 2013 Sunday Times Rich List 2013 the couple are said to be jointly worth $185 million.

Whilst Welsh actress Catherine has amassed a generous fortune in her own right through hits like The Mask Of Zorro and Ocean’s Twelve, it is Douglas who’s the higher earner with his movies grossing more than £1.5 billion over his 40 year career.

The Basic Instinct star's personal fortune is said to be £115 million, compared to his wife's £70 million.

The actor's assets also include houses in Bermuda, New York, Canada, Spain and the Turks and Caicos Islands, at least one of which Catherine could lay claim to with reports suggesting she would also be in line for around £1 million for every year of marriage.

Douglas has learnt his lesson the hard way when it comes to shelling out the cash after messy splits. After his first marriage to Diandra Luker ended in 1995, a bitter divorce battle saw the actor pay out $45 million to his wife of 23 years.

And the fight didn’t end there as Dianda tried unsuccessfully, to sue Michael for half of his earnings from the movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps in 2011.

Michael recently spoke about his divorce, admitting: ‘I have nothing against her and in fact I’m very fond of my first wife. But we should have ended that marriage eight or 10 years earlier.’

'It took me too long to realise that if you go to a marriage counselor to resolve problems, it’s in his interest to keep the marriage going. Because if I end the marriage he’s got no business.'

Whilst reports that Zeta Jones has been preparing for her own £300m divorce against her husband have been denied, the actress has previously admitted how thankful she is for her pre-nup with Douglas.

Google Inc co-founder Sergey Brin has separated from his wife of six years, and now the 40-year-old Silicon Valley mogul is reportedly dating a younger employee.

Brin and Anne Wojcicki, who married in 2007, have been living apart for several months, the couple's spokesperson said last night.

'They remain good friends and partners,' the spokesperson added.

The woman said to be seeing Brin has been named in reports as Amanda Rosenberg, a 26-year-old Google Glass marketing manager. There is no suggestion that the couple were dating before Brin separated from his wife.

Wojcicki, 40, is the chief executive of a biotech firm that Google has invested millions of dollars in and whose sister is one of the Internet search company's top executives.

Brin and Wojcicki, who have two children have a prenuptial agreement, although they are not yet legally separated.

Susan Wojcicki, Anne's sister, is senior vice president of Ads and Commerce for Google and is considered one of the Internet company's top executives.

The relationship between Google and the Wojcickis dates back to the company's earliest days: in 1998, the nascent search company set up shop in Susan Wojcicki's garage shortly after raising its first funding.

Google has invested roughly $10million in 23andMe, the company that Miss Wojcicki co-founded in 2006 and which sells DNA testing kits and provides clients with information about their ancestry and medical conditions.

The blog AllThingsD reported recently that the newly single Brin is now dating a co-worker much younger than him.

Forbes said that Mr Brin is currently worth $22.8billion and holds more than $20billion worth of Google shares.

Since Larry Page took over as CEO of Google, Brin has been spending most of his time at Google’s research lab, Google X, which has been developing ambitious ‘moon shot’ projects like the Glass and a self-driving car.

Brin and Wojcicki have gained a reputation as a philanthropic power couple, donating tens of millions of dollars to a variety of charitable organizations.

In 2012 alone, the couple gave away $223million, Los Angeles Times reported, earning them the distinction of being the fifth biggest donors to U.S. charities, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Much of the funds went to their own charity, The Brin Wojcicki Foundation, which promotes human rights and anti-poverty programs.

The 26-year-old, who describes herself as Asian but moved to the UK, has played a key role in the development of Google Glass and came up with the product's buzz phrase 'OK glass'.

She joined Google as an account manager in June 2008 before becoming mobile business development manager EMEA two years later.

Ms Rosenberg was appointed marketing manager in January 2012 moving from London to work at the company's Silicon Valley headquarters and within seven months was assigned to heading up marketing for the Google Glass.


Reports of the romance come as another Google high-flyer, with whom she has been romantically linked, Hugo Barra, quit the company to work for a Chinese smart phone firm.

Mr Barra, vice president of Android product management, presided over the much-trumpeted launch of Google's Nexus tablet.

He announced his departure for Chinese company Xioami on his Google Plus account after five years at the firm.

He said he had 'decided to start a new career chapter'.

In the post, Mr Barra also said that his colleagues at Google are 'the most amazing group of people I've ever worked with in my life.'

Zhang, a Chinese real estate developer, is the 7th richest self-made woman in the world, worth

$3.6 billion, according to Forbes.

She’s worth $800 million more than Oprah Winfrey, the world’s best known self-made female billionaire.

Not only does Zhang’s rags-to-riches story mirror that of China itself, but it is Zhang who has shaped much

of the country’s modern urban landscape, with the logo of her company SOHO China.

SOHO China has 18 developments in Beijing, many of them landmark buildings, and has recently expanded

to Shanghai, where it has bought or built 11 properties.

EARLY LIFE EDUCATION

In the 1950s, Zhang Xin’s parents, third generation Burmese Chinese, left Burma and immigrated to China,

leaving behind their confectionery business.

Born in Beijing in 1965, Zhang Xin moved to Hong Kong at the age of 14 with her mother and lived in a room

just big enough for two bunk beds. To save for an education abroad, she worked for five years in small factories

that make garment and electronic products.

As she has described, the ‘conditions there were similar to those in mainland China today’.

By 19, she had saved enough for airfare to London and supporting herself for English study at secretarial school.

Later, she studied Economics at the University of Sussex. In 1992, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in

Development Economics from Cambridge University. In 2013, Zhang Xin received honorary Doctor of Laws from

her Alma Mater, University of Sussex.

CAREER

Upon graduation, she was hired by Barings Plc to work in Hong Kong. She soon moved to Goldman Sachs and

started working for the investment bank in New York City. In 1994, she switched to Travelers Group before returning

to her hometown, Beijing. She co-founded Hongshi (meaning Red Stone), which became SOHO China, with her

husband Pan Shiyi in 1995.

The couple was described by The Times of London as ‘China’s most visible and flamboyant property tycoons’.

Zhang Xin has won many prestigious international awards for her role as a patron of visionary architecture in China

and as an innovative entrepreneur. She won BusinessWeek´s Stars of Asia Award for the year of 2004, and was awarded

a Special Prize at the 8th la Biennale di Venezia for Commune by the Great Wall, a private collection of architecture

featuring the works of twelve Asian architects. Commune by the Great Wall is now a boutique hotel.

She also received the Year 2004 Montblanc Arts Patronage Award.In 2007, she was selected as one of the

“Ten Women to Watch in Asia” by the Wall Street Journal. In 2008, she was listed among Forbes Magazine‘s

“World’s Most Powerful Women”. In 2009, Zhang Xin was included among Forbes’ “Top Ten Billionaire Women

We Admire” and Financial Times’ “Top 50 Women in World Business”. In March 2010, she was named among

“China Top 10 Career Women Role Models in 2009″ by the All-China Women’s Federation, China Sun Media Group,

Sina.com and Hunan TV. In 2011, Zhang Xin was named among the “The International Power 50″ of the

“Most Powerful Women” by Fortune Magazine, and was again recognized as one of “World’s Most Powerful

Women” by Forbes.

Zhang Xin is a member and Young Global Leader of World Economic Forum, Davos, a member of

Asia Business Council and a Board Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She served as a Trustee

to the China Institute in America from 2005 to 2010, and was recognized by the China Institute with

the Blue Cloud Award in 2010.

PERSONAL LIFE

Zhang Xin and her husband, Pan Shiyi, have been members of the Bahá’í Faith since 2005. She also made a

cameo appearance as a Chinese merchant in the 2010 film Wall Street

Hello food lovers, On our menu today is "Thai Noodles serve with chicken and Broccoli. If you are looking for a healthy Thai meal then l recommend this to you.
I hope you love it as much as I did.

S/o to my friend Adeola, this was the recipe you tried the last time. Hope you get it this time..lol


Ingredients

1/2 pack rice noodles
3/4 cup of water
1 clove minced garlic
1 tablespoon oil
boneless skinless chicken breasts (thinly slice)
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in 3 tablespoons of water
salt, pepper, or chili flakes to taste
1/2 cup broccoli floret (chopped small)
fresh lime
1/2 tsp sesame oil



Preparation

(1.) Bring a pot of water to boil, remove from fire, and dump in the rice noodles.


(2.) Boil your boneless skinless chicken breast with little seasoning to taste
Thinly slice/shredded the chicken and set aside


(3.) Heat the oil in a wok or large saute pan.

Add your garlic and stir

Then your boneless skinless chicken breasts

Season with salt and pepper,little chilli flakes (to make it a little spicy)

Then add in the broccoli, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, fish seasoning and stir

Add in the water and cornstarch mixture.

Continue stirring, coating everything well.

(4.) Drain the noodles that you dump in the boiling water and set aside.

(5.) After 2-3 minutes, add the noodles to the stir fry.

Stir well, and let the noodles soak up the juicy flavor......lol
