It reeks too much of conspiracisim.If I were to accept what the then Army spokesman said....I would have to accept that of all the Northern entrants into the Army in the 1960's, Buhari was the only one accepted without a certificate...which means I have to accept that the Army in 1961 was so incompetent that they made such a mistake, and allowed such a person to be promoted, and to take courses, and did not fire or retire him.

And why would the WAEC chair risk his proffesional integrity by preparing a WAEC certificate if he did not have the requesite back up information to do so?
